I love the fact to have reviewers that are down to earth. This rig is good looking and offers pretty much all the comfort and practicality an active family would desire, if they can afford the price tag…
I have one. Finding aftermarket parts is a nightmare. There’s some, but slim pickens for the 22-up, which is the only ones you want. Can’t even hardly find a brush guard for it. Custom fit seat covers were impossible to find. Great riding rig though. I’d say in about 2-3 years they’ll probably get better support.
I currently have an Xterra Pro 4X. There might be a return for the Xterra for 2024/25 but if not, I believe I will eventually get a Pathfinder Rock Creek.
I have this as a work vehicle (sv trim) and a maverick hybrid for personal. I have an annual guys trip to friends cabin debating what to drive. It’s about a 2 mile Jeep trail that crosses a stream 2x. I’m a little nervous about ground clearance both vehicles and also possibly getting stuck with fwd maverick. What would you guys recommend?
I’ve actually tested both now, pathfinder made it only scraped on one stream crossing. Maverick hybrid got stuck once, but with 7 other guys we pushed it out no problem.
What a piece of junk! No ground clearance even with that massive .6 in lift, very little articulation, almost a negative approach angle, pretty much useless except on a dirt road. Nissan stopped building real pathfinders in 04 when they ended the R50. The R51 that came after was a solid truck but too big and low for anything other than moderate tails. Last spring i rebuilt an 02 pathy with a manual 5sp and added upgrades for even more offroad capability. Recently took it in to a local dealer to replace a recalled airbag. A salesman came over and says it looks great, can see I go offroad, and he can give me a great trade in for one of those rock creek mallfinders. I said forget it, that thing couldnt even run the easy trails that are a couple miles away from the dealership. The guy says oh you would be surprised with what this thing can do so i said prove it. He says ok, we have some obstacles in a lot down the road. I laughed and asked what some 6in speed bumps? I said follow me to the trails and if it can handle it I would give it some consideration. After some hhmms and aahhss and assurances that there wasnt any mud around he finally agreed and off we went. Within a couple min the saleman in the mallfinder finds himself almost high centered on a track with ruts about 9in deep. He didnt want to run on the side and possibly scratch the doors, though i dont think it could have handled the soft sand and loose rocks on the side of the trail anyway. I jumped off the trail, ran through some sand/brush/cactus (I'm in AZ), pulled up next to the guy, and sarcastically asked if he was having an issue and needed some help. I told him not to worry as I carry tow straps. The guy sheepishly says he thinks he can back it out and roughed up some undercarriage components as he forces the thing out in reverse. Back at the start of the trail I tell the guy he better head back as this is the only entry road for a few miles and he agreed. I said I think I'll keep my real pathy and since i was there was gonna go try to find some mud. The guy didn't say another word. The thing looks nice enough, has strong towing capacity, but otherwise cant handle much more than a speed bump.
This Pathfinder's long wide chin makes for a terrible approach angle. Dear Nissan, take your current Frontier and turn it into a SUV. A new Xterra would be great for the competition.
The irony of the whole situation is my dads boy came and towed us out with a rusty ass 89-92 pathfinder 🤦♂️ 😅😂.When they say they don’t make em like they used to.Believe it

Very nice vehicle in details, I have the 2023 and I am going through a series of mechanical problems that the dealers have not been able to repair, they have towed me almost twice a month and the Nissan warranty does not respond to me at all, if there is someone who can help me with a recommendation on how to return this vehicle please let me know, very bad vehicle I do not recommend it
I think it's time to stop fooling Nissan and bring XTerra in US with V6, proper ground clearance and 4wd.

Looks like great traction when there's clearance. Hey, can you do a top 10 list of cars/trucks in this hill test?
That sounds like fun, stay tuned.
I’m glad the crossover segment has these off road packages, this one is one of the best. It makes these CUVs look much more like an SUV.
Fake it until you make it?
Is it really a crossover? Or considered a truck??
Great video! Thanks for taking them off road and showing us their capabilities!
You bet!
cam on the right/front for parking along curbs
Great video. Nice you take it off road to show how it does. A little more ground clearance would be nice
Thanks! We appreciate you watching.
Who better spare parts price: Nissan Pathfinder or Ford Everest ?
I’m curious if there will be aftermarket support for this vehicle. Keep up the great work guys.

You won't find aftermarket anything for this vehicle. They only make shit for Toyota and Jeep
We still need the Body on Frame Nissan X-Terra
Loved the early pathfinders and had an Xterra for 13 years. Interesting to see where the pathfinder is now.
We also have an Xterra in the fleet. We sure wish Nissan would bring it back!
They do have traction control it called vdc in the setting at the very top

We have heard nothing of. New Xterra, but welcome it big time!
Poor ground clearance not so good for things like this
The pathfinder is back on the path to contending with the 4runner! The new paths looks cool
Great review, that hill is no joke!
After reviewing both I still prefer the Honda Pilot Trail Sport
Hi. Is this thing considered a truck or suv or crossover?
Can you please explain.
And the difference between awd and 4wd.
Thank you

Sell your maverick and get a real truck with proper low gear. Thank me later..
@@mlvncgndhn9583 lol why I drive 3 hours one way highway 1-2x a month. The hybrid maverick is perfect. Btw the pathfinder made it no problem.
@@matthewturner3948 What did you end up doing?

Are you saying in this review the rock creek addition doesn’t even have skid plates. No off roader then.
You can still off road without skid plates, but we take your point.
I agree
Good job. 👍Love this car but I got rid of my 2022 Sl for only 6 months
Why?
Good video!
Great truck
Is it a truck? Or suv , crossover?
How do we really know?
I wanna know myself if it's truly a truck or not
You guys are too nice.. it’s a NO. Rock Creek edition no under armour? Terrible approach angle? CVT? I’d rather buy a frontier pro4x
They have a 9 speed auto now.
Pathfinder's went soft.

Hey I had to get this out there I rented this truck in Puerto Rico it is a pos .If you looking at this to go off road of any sort don’t do it
