I just brought the Frontier Pro4x, 2025. Now, I'm in the process of getting the Pathfinder Rock Creek, 2025. I love Nissan. All my vehicles have always been Nissan. I still have my 1992 Nissan King Cab.
I have a 2024 Pathfinder, and it has been a pleasure to drive. I have taken it on extensive drives, and the V6 is no disappointment, pulling over the mountains with ease. Not necessary, but I always use premium fuel, giving it a little kick. Highly recommend it, as long as they keep the V6. Four Bangers are quick and fun, had one with Twin Turbo's, blew to valves at 18,000 miles, they fully honored their warranty beyond satisfactory, so I will not mention the mfg, however, those little engines, with clamoring pistons, and Turbo's in the mix is a stretch, if anyone thinks they are going get longevity, out of those herniated puppies!
Bought the 2024 Pathfinder Platinum last month. $3.5K discount. Traded 2021 Rogue with 37K miles. Really like it. With a normally aspirated V6 and nine speed automatic transmission (no CVT), seems like it will be reliable. Toyota /Lexus switched out their V6 for 4 cylinder Hybrid Turbo that is reporting problems. Genesis GV70 has reported issues as well and the fully loaded version costs much more.
I just traded in a 2012 Xterra with 159k miles on a 2023 Pathfinder they had been purchased two years ago and had 29k miles on it. I got the basic Pathfinder S, which lacks a lot of the features. Do not be fooled; this is not an off-road vehicle. It is not "ready for any adventure". Like so many other AWD SUVs, it's basically a glorified minivan. They should have just named it the Rogue XL, because the Pathfinder name implies capability that just isn't there. For the occasional trip down a gravel country road it will be fine, but this Pathfinder isn't going to be "finding paths" out in the wild. The Rock Creek has a .6" lift and one size larger tires, and that costs you 4 mpg hwy (24 vs 27). Incidentally, mine averages 21.5 mpg in mixed driving so the mpgs aren't fantastic either.
this car can go to mt trail but not for serious offroaders. most people buy cars for everyday house to work and vice versa. this is the car Im considering aside from highlander 2019 model.
I owned a brand new Nissan Dualis in Australia back in 2012. Then, a Pathfinder (2015) which I bought also brand new for a good load of money and only used by me. After 4 years of light usage that was not exceeding 40 K km, problems started, every month a need for repairs, and problems in the great started to appear until it needed repair or changing. A huge repair costs. I ended up replacing it with the Haval H9 (2025). And guess what, A price that is less than 2/3 of the Pathfinder. In my experience, Nissan is not a good choice. Ah, when I went to the gear chop, almost 80% of the cars with gear problems were Nissan :)
... better get one now , seems Nissan/Infinity is on life support - 11 or 12 months until flat line ... shame , I've been a fan since the days of Datsun ...

In 2015 Pathfinder had CVT Transmission with a lot of problems. Not after 2022 when it got a Regular 9 speed auto.
👌🔥👌🔥

Hearing that Honda is going to step in and replace Renault's stake in Nissan.
