My sister never used birth control and thought that she couldn't have children. Her and her husband had been together for almost 20 years. She has PCOS. She went in keto, lost 65 pounds and was shocked when she found out she was pregnant. Her daughter is now 2 years old and she is expecting her 2nd child in April! Keto works❤️

I got married at 23, was infertile my entire 20s, did IVF at 30 which failed.
My doctor never mentioned PCOS, even though I had all the signs except I was not overweight because I was sporty; he said it was unexplained infertility.
We prayed hard to God for wisdom and a baby.
We got miraculously pregnant at 31 after losing 20lbs from training for a half marathon (I still had no idea about PCOS and weight loss)
We really wanted a large family and thought it was never going to happen.
    God led me to Keto
Three months later I was naturally pregnant, a wonderfully smooth and easy pregnancy and delivery.
I stayed Keto for one year, gradually went Carnivore because veggies were not sitting right with me.
Well guess what? I am 40 now and pregnant with #8!!!
We have our dream large family.
    All glory to God!

@caramelbrownie9246 it's not so much the carbs as it is the meat and the natural animal fat which is in the keto which helps restore the hormones in turn helping your body with its natural body processes. Pregnancies and such. Look up the lady Kelly Hogan she fell pregnant, maintained and breastfed all of her children on carnivore but only after she started to consume natural animal fats. Also there was a female body building athlete who had no periods for 10 years, couldn't fall pregnant went on carnivore and started having periods again and became pregnant. Look up Dr Elizabeth Bright who talks about good fat, cholesterol, hormones their functions and the thyroid. Also look up Dr Anthony Chaffee & PCOS he talks about it too.

I am sitting here in TEARS right now, feeling so hope-filled watching this video. I was diagnosed with PCOS 6 years ago. I have been on metformin, letrozole, ozempic, and many other meds. I have tried every single diet out there (WW, beachbody, cabbage soup, juice cleanse, etc, etc, you name it!) and was still struggling to lose weight. I have had all the tests, been given all the recommendations, lost weight (and gained it all back...and more), and STILL have been unsuccessful in pregnancy despite everything "looking" fine (in terms of my lady plumbing). I JUST started carnivore 5 days ago (after not having a period for 7 months and not being pregnant...my period started 2 days into carnivore...wild!) and have been learning SO much from Dr Berry (THANK YOU!!!), and decided to search to see if he had anything on PCOS reversal or fertility....and here I am now. I'll check back in a few months' time and give an update on how things are going. Thank you, Dr Berry and Dr Seeman for giving me the motivation to stick with this for the long haul, and for giving the first glimmer of hope in a VERY long time!!!

Not one mention. Just put on birth control and told to lose weight!!! That’s it!!! Since I went to keto and more carnivore all of my symptoms have improved so much!!! Omg I'm so sorry, look around for a new doctor and don't stop until you find one you like! I like my Doctor as she did diagnose me, did an ultra sound and discovered I had a polyp, and needed it removed. Although, when she told me I had pcos she just mentioned the risk of diabetes and having a healthy lifestyle and diet. She didnt tell me exactly what to avoid and what to add to my diet. I thought I was doing mostly healthy things. I'm a little upset that it took me 6 months to figure out exactly how to lose weight and control insulin resistance and really even become aware that I am insulin resistant. Overall I do like my doctor but wish there was more education on it or encouragement to go home and research. Biggest take away is stay away from Milk, Almond milk is key, replace all white foods, breads, pasta, rice with wheat, white potatoes to sweet potatoes, salmon, tuna, chicken, eggs, protien protien protien

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2015. Had to do fertility treatments to get pregnant with my daughter. My fertility Dr tracked my ovulation which showed I only ovulated 2 times in 12 months. My period had always been unpredictable & far & few in between. I went carnivore Jan 1, 2023. Since then I have had a period every 28-30 days along with clear signs of ovulation I never had before! Hallelujah! If only more Drs educated us patients on DIET instead of pushing meds.

I’m one of those PCOS ladies who was able to have a baby all on my own! My obgyn was shocked. She still believes that it was just a fluke and my lifestyle had nothing to do with it.
I was diagnosed with pcos at 14. I was just told I would probably be infertile, and that I should eat less, exercise, and go on birth control. I refused the birth control. Something didn’t seem right to me. I used to average 1 menstrual cycle a year and my weight kept creeping up.
10 years later, I discovered fasting. My cycles regulated, I lost 100lbs, and my hair stopped falling out. During this time I got married and we got pregnant on the first try! Post baby, I am low carb and eat once a day, with regular cycles and reduced facial hair.
Keep preaching the truth Dr. Berry!

After my second child I was diagnosed with insulin resistance and told I was on the road to PCOS. I asked my doctor what to eat and she looked me dead in the face and told me it can't be fixed by diet, I needed to be on metformin
      I never went back

I went to the emergency room when I was having a diverticulitis flare up and they did a CT scan. I had already wrote PCOS on my inpatient history doc. The Dr. Came in and said, “you only have 1 cyst on your ovary, I don’t think you have PCOS.” I told him, you don’t have to have a lot of cysts on your ovaries to have PCOS. He then said “poly means many” some people definitely need to further educate themselves.

    • @margomoore4527
      @margomoore4527 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I’m not sure you’re right about that. I’m 73 and have 1 cyst on my right ovary. That was found only a few years ago and almost certainly developed post-menopause, and no doctor has diagnosed me with PCOS. My husband and I were infertile together, because his sperm were mostly DOA or malformed, and in my late 30’s a urologist found that my body created antibodies against his sperm. A hysterosalpingogram showed my tubes were clear and there was no evidence of endometriosis. I always had regular periods, most very heavy, long and painful, but in those days that was not viewed as abnormal. Face &body hair just a billy goat hair or two, just like my grandmother, who bore one child. PCOS must have been discovered and named much later. I was born in 1950 and achieved menarche at age 12. I married at 24, but found out on our honeymoon that my husband did not really want children. It had never occurred to me to ask, because in any book I had ever read, men wanted children! Given his infertility, it might not have been possible, but whatever fertility we might have had declined during the many years in which we used protection. Too late now! There may even have been a metabolic component on my part, since in my 20’s I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia. No meds, no cure, not even dietary advice. It was “the opposite of diabetes”!
I’m quite sure I would have been able to conceive with donor sperm, especially if the donor was my blood type (I’m A- and my husband O+). But I felt my husband would have felt cuckolded and would have been unable to give such a child the proper affection. We also had a bad experience with a woman fertility doctor who refused to talk to us unless we would agree to the use of a donor egg, and there I drew the line.I was also concerned about the physiological consequences of all the hormone shots. What I wanted was the drilled ovum (mine) put together with a good sperm cell (my husband’s-he did have a few), and I couldn’t get anyone to perform the procedure. I was still working then and had no time to travel around and get other opinions. Between fertility issues and my husband’s delaying tactics, any conception would have been a miracle! I refuse to view this as a tragedy, but it does mean that my husband and I are very motivated and disciplined to take very good care of ourselves, since we must rely on each other. Starting (modified) carnivore (raw dairy and small amounts of fruit), about 6 weeks ago, was probably one of the best decisions I ever made. In 6 weeks I only lost 4 lb, but my waist measurement went from 43” to 41-1/2”, so I’m pretty happy. I want to live to 100, decided that when I was 10. We both work out twice a week and he walks/runs, I take pilates classes. At 5’7”, he hovers around 160; at 5’2” and 173, I am still clinically obese, but I have confidence that the meat-based diet will reduce the fat, given time.
I’m so glad there are knowledgeable people out there, coaching and encouraging everyone who needs it!

2 of our 3 kids are "keto babies". I have PCOS. Did multiple months/almost a year of Clomid and never ovulated. Got referred to a fertility clinic. Got an idiot RE who told me diet would do nothing when I asked if keto could help...she also told me I don't actually have PCOS despite me meeting ALL 3 rotterdam criteria. Did months of Femara and ultrasounds, lost our first pregnancy and then finally got pregnant with our now oldest child and had to demand progesterone for that pregnancy despite low levels. Fast forward to me wanting to lose the baby weight from our oldest....tried keto for 5 weeks, never even got a period, boom got pregnant with our son. Fast forward to me wanting to lose that weight thinking we were done at 2 kids.....more keto....and got pregnant with our littlest. I now use keto/ketovore as a way to try to balance my hormone levels.

Another nugget on insulin resistance that I learned from Dr Elliot Overton....is that taking fairly high doses of B1 up to 1200-1500 mg a day can help lower insuline levels. I take both water soluable B1 called thiamine mononitrate and fat soluable B1 called benfotamine. This has lowered my fasting insuline by about 70%. High Insuline dysregulates many of the other hormones, so lowering fasting insuline by large enough doses of B1 is A BIG BENEFIT.

But my doc won’t dx me because my thyroid and testosterone levels are “within normal limits” although I have been shaving my chin since I was 14. It’s infuriating. “Within normal limits” for who - MEN?? AARGH

I was showing PCOS at 10 years old, when puberty hit. I was told I'd never have kids. At 25 I had a micropreemie, born at 1 pound 5 oz due to pre eclampsia. Now at 45 I'm just now seeing how to reverse PCOS after a life time of dealing with it. I'm glad to see this now, I wish this had been in my view years ago.

Yeah I was super hairy even as a kid and my period didn't become regular until probably a couple months to a year later but then once I started Depo shot that's when everything got significantly worse and thank God I stopped it. But I gained a lot of weight and in my mid-twenties I started getting irregular periods. I have now started the keto / carnivore diet and my periods are back but I still have facial hair that I should not be having and I'm still hairy more than most women but it's not as bad as it used to be. Is there anything else I could do that can help those symptoms? I have also lost 40 lb!

I wish you had been my doctor back when I first looked at fertility treatment. I spent so much money and time on fertility treatment. Fertility treatment never was successful but my own efforts in my diet, weight and understanding my bodies signs of ovulating helped me obtain several pregnancies. Going through fertility treatment was my first experience with doctors who seemed more interested in money versus the health of their patient.

Reading all the comments from PCOS patients who conceived naturally is so reassuring ❤️❤️❤️ I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago in my early 20s and it’s been my main reason for doing low carb/keto. My goal’s always been to conceive naturally eventually and this is the first time I’ve seen collective anecdotal evidence that keto et al works!
It’s been hard being on this diet because of social pressure. Because I am pretty lean people get weird about me “dieting,” but now I’m reassured that I’m right and it will be worth it in the end ❤️❤️❤️

I’m 43, diagnosed pcos at 26/27. Infertility, excess hair, insulin resistant, weight issues now.( harder to lose) high testosterone, low progesterone. I do not ovulate or have a period . All of these symptoms I’ve had my whole life. Keto scares me but I’ve heard good things as well. I need encouragement to overcome fears of keto . I do have high cholesterol right now as well. I’ve had more anxiety since turning 40. Never been pregnant. Although that’s not my goal, that would be a huge plus for me even at 43. Any encouragement would be great!! It is very discouraging and you do tend to just give up when Drs are not educated on natural ways to become healthy or diet changes to help, all they push is medication and expensive fertility treatment.
I work for a chiropractor and I am all about a healthy life changing approach and I am wanting to get out of this PCOS brain washed funk and get my life on a healthy track and feel better overall! I am still young ( in my mind) and I want to live my best life physically, mentally and emotionally in my 40’s. ❤

So I decided by myself to start the keto diet 4 month ago and miraculously I start to feel extraordinary better. My periods were so bad it felt like a knife was stabbing me I'd be in tears and then I had my period everyday for over a month once too, and would also go without for months. Come to find out I had a polyp and needed it removed. My periods are so much better and less painful. Still go without it sometimes but recently learned a lot through you tube and started changing my diet. Eliminating dairy, milk, white breads, pastas, doing everything whole wheat, some gluten free options too, and increase fiber and finally starting to lose weight. I had terrible side affects and was always using the bathroom with Diarrhea from the metformin. Then I moved to England and was eating a lot healthier and smaller portions and walking a lot because is common there to walk everywhere and after 4 months of living in England I lost 30 pounds. I went from 170lbs to 140lbs. A healthier lifestyle is definitely key to losing weight. I found it so much easier to lose weight in Europe then in the US just because the size of foods here is ridiculous and how heavily processed the food is. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS INFORMATION!! I’ve suffered from this for over 45yrs, and had NO IDEA that insulin resistance/hyperinsulinemia was the root cause!!
Speaking of PCOS being misnamed and clueless OB/GYN’s…
I was diagnosed with this in 1977 (age 16) when it was called Stein-Levinthal Syndrome!
And the ONLY “treatment” at that time was to do an occasional 10-day progesterone withdrawal to induce a period. Later in college, I was put on OC’s to regulate my cycle and to reduce the symptom of heavy bleeding.
After I was married, I was put on Clomiphene, got pregnant, and developed gestational diabetes in the last week of my pregnancy (wasn’t treated for it).
That was 1993, and at that time, STILL, no one knew that this was in ANY way related to anything metabolic. (They HAD renamed it PCOS by that time. 😂)
It wasn’t until the mid-90’s (I think?) that they must have realized that there was something metabolic going on, because they started prescribing metformin for it, but none of my Dr’s ever mentioned Metformin to me. I learned about it by reading a book on my own.
I remember asking my OB/GYN about it, and he truly was CLUELESS about PCOS! He referred me to an endocrinologist, only to have the endocrinologist tell me that my OB/GYN should be managing it for me! I lost a lot of my faith in the allopathic system at that point.
By that time, my husband had died (while I was expecting that first child), so I wasn’t planning on having any more children, and my symptoms weren’t bothering me much, so I just forgot about it for a couple of decades!
NOW, I’m 61, post-menopausal, and have ALL of the symptoms of Metabolic Syndrome, including NAFLD!
I was told that in 2011, when I was 5’4 and 200lbs! Once told, I immediately started exercising, and lost about 85lbs through pretty much exercise alone. The only change that I made to my diet was calorie reduction and eliminating junk/fast food and high calorie lattés.
No Dr ever suggested anything related to my diet, merely that I was overweight and needed to lose some! They didn’t even say HOW MUCH I needed to lose! I was pretty much on my own!
Thank goodness I did lose the weight through exercise, and I kept it off until about 2019, so I wasn’t worried about Metabolic Syndrome and never went back to the Dr!
However, in 2019 “life circumstances” disrupted my exercise routine… basically I completely fell out of it, and now I’ve gained ALL THE WEIGHT BACK because I went back to eating the way I was before!
So even though I haven’t seen a Dr since 2011, I know that I’m right back where I was BEFORE I lost the weight, if not worse.
Back then, I was pre-diabetic, had NAFLD, and edema in my lower legs. I’m worried that I MAY have UNKNOWINGLY progressed to full-blown T2D by now.
I know, I’m going to schedule an appointment to finally go see a doc and get my labs done.
I’ve been researching ketogenic diets for about month now (very thankful for Dr Berry’s & Neisha’s channels!).
I’ve already cut all sugar from my diet and drastically reduced my carb intake. I’m working my way towards keto, then ketovore, then carnivore.
Once I get my initial labs done, I’m very interested in getting a CBGM to help me better manage my BG & insulin levels.
I’m going to check out Dr Siemen’s BioCoach website. It sounds like a GOD-SEND… exactly what I need!!
THANK YOU DR BERRY AND DR SIEMENS for providing the information that I needed to FINALLY get me started on the right path!
I feel like you’ve lit a fire under me! Now that I know WHAT I need to do, I CAN’T WAIT TO GET STARTED TURNING THIS AROUND!!
P.S. In case it wasn’t obvious, I don’t believe in treating “disease” with pharmaceuticals anymore, at least not for myself. (I was a pharmacist for 35 years. I know too much.).
If it’s something chronic and it can’t be fixed through diet and exercise, then I won’t be “fixing” it.
I know that allopathy has some value in treating acute & emergency situations. Outside of that, I will rely on diet/exercise.

This is been the most eye-opening argument I've seen yet for going low carb. I have toyed with it but have always been scared of doing it because I've also heard the vegan side of things and so I go back and forth. However, I have never been diagnosed with PCOS. And I'm kind of upset with the multiple doctors I've seen who have not even considered any of these things that Dr Seeman was talking about. I have not had a period since 2013 which would have made me 38 years old. At that time my doctor didn't seem to concerned about it and brushed it off. Through my own research over time and I'm about to talk to a couple other doctors who again thought maybe I was going through premenopause or perimenopause whatever it is. I felt like it had to do with weight gain cuz I am 425 lb I was around 250 when I started having issues with my period. I now wonder is it a possibility that I have PCOS and not one doctor has ever thought that was a possibility or mention that. Now I don't have anything going on with alopecia or excessive hair or thyroid issues. But I definitely have metabolic syndrome, and lack of menstrual cycle and I think even something that the doctor stated with acne or oily skin. This is an eye opener however I honestly don't know how to get a doctor to test for this my current Dr barely listens to me as it is and I'm in the process of trying to find another one

Why are doctors CONSTANTLY brushing women off. One time I told a male doctor, who I was trying to get a diagnosis from for PCOS because I just knew in my body thats what it was, he fought me to the bitter end, and refused. Anyway I told him besides all of the general symptoms of pcos I had (gaining 50 pounds in one year for no reason, losing my hair, growing hair on my chin, etc) that I hadn't gone to the bathroom in an entire month and he told me "some people just go more than others. That's totally normal." I was the only person I know that goes once a month normal or not. He sent me to a women's health center with a female doctor that said your bowels are entirely full and told me I needed meds for that, and that it is a round about symptom of the PCOS. The male doctor did the ultrasound and told me he had "good news!" he didn't see the classic "string of pearls cysts" so "you dont have PCOS" he only saw one dermoid cyst thought it was the size of a baseball (it was actually 2.5cm in diameter)and sent me in an ambulance to have my ovary removed. Then I met the female doctor at the Women's Center and she said she DID see the "ring of pearls cysts" on the ultrasound, yes she was DXing me with PCOS, and said going to the bathroom once a month is only normal if you're a hospice patient. God what a horrible first doctor that was. He was so nice too, but so dumb!

I thought, I might as well try a ketogenic diet and get the excess weight off and exactly 4 months later I got pregnant. Perfectly healthy pregnancy and delivered baby at 40 weeks. 😀🥰

I have the low testosterone and DHEA's form of PCOS. I am usually always like 150-160 unless i have what I call a switch. That's when my period stops and I start gaining weight out of control and no diet or exercise works. I tried every diet in 2022 and kept gaining. After 2 days on Carnivore I started my cycle and had already dropped 4 lbs. Its been 2 weeks and I have lost roughly a lb a day. I was just blowing up like a ball until I cut ALL THE SUGAR and went on strict high fat carnivore.

☝️☝️☝️ Truly, natural remedies do work. If they didn't, we wouldn't have used them for thousands of years. And, pharmaceutical companies wouldn't be studying plants, taking extracts of them, and patenting them as drugs. This is not a claim or lies I was cured of PCOS, and my friend was also cured of Chronic UTI by Dr. Egobe herbal medicine in case you are having any health challenges you can contact him and also get a cure too, through him you can get pregnant and have your baby.

Excellent! I was Dx with PCOD ( before it was PCOS) in 1985. Had already suffered with symptoms for 4 years. The dietary recommendations were low fat, low calorie with the examples of pasta and baked potatoes being given from a large medical university hospital. I did my own research over the years and helped my doc think about things differently. So happy to see this info available for fellow sufferers.

This! I was always told I couldn't get pregnant due to my having the RH-factor. (Turns out, that is an issue for STAYING pregnant, but not necessarily GETTING). I've had PCOS and turns out that's likely why I couldn't get pregnant. When I got together with my son's dad, I wanted to lose weight. He was healthy and ate low carb and showed me how. We ate that way, eating mostly our backyard chicken eggs, meats, cooked with real coconut oil, and some lower carb veggies. Drank water, coffee, and some low carb cocktails on weekends. Ended up surprise pregnant! Now I have my son. And my ob/gyn was perfectly fine with me eating the way I was while pregnant and nursing. My kiddo is fit, healthy and happy.

Thank you for this video- I was diagnosed with PCOS 20 years ago and my doctor said don’t bother trying to lose weight because it won’t happen. 😢 tried weightloss programs, paleo and finally keto. Numbers improved, but no weightloss. I read “PCOS plan” and it said people with PCOS May have to go less than 20 grams. Right around time of reading this book- I found dr. Barry and he said the same thing. I am moving towards going full carnivore and am excited and am hopeful. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!!

I have this terrible disease, this was good information for me, I also have Hirsutism (excess hair growth in women, I also deal with acne, i was told PCOS and this disease can be a pair, but not every woman gets the hair growth part (lucky them). I took Metformin the doc said it would help me, it did nothing. I've had Fibroid tumors in which I ended up having a Hysterectomy back in 2005, because some of the Fibroids were huge, and I had tons of these things different sizes but they took over. I was in my early 30's and never had kids. PCOS can mess you up Mentally, Emotionally and Physically. I'm going to look into the Keto diet.

I’ve went to around 5 different docs being brushed off as “just another lady with PCOS”. 9 years of trying to conceive. On week two of carnivore. Obviously I’d love to conceive, but would love to be healthy first. This is why I would really like to see a doctor who will listen and take my experience seriously without medication.

I’m seriously hypovolemic and hoping that my body can build up its blood supply again. Until then I’ve been lying in bed like a slug. It’s so hard to stay away from the crap. Started IF and that’s stopped the bleeding and eating lots of red meat and eggs. Definitely on the upswing. All my life I thought I was depressed but here it was just severe anemia. 🤦‍♀️

Unfortunately, I never even heard of PCOS until I was in my early 60s....and didn't hear of the Keto Diet till about 10 years ago (and Carnivore just in the last two years). How differently my life would have gone if SOMEONE would have told me I had PCOS! My husband divorced me after I got a hysterectomy (without his consent). I got it because I had a cyst the size of a baseball, and I was told if medications given didn't work, I should get the surgery because there was a chance I would get Cancer. I saved my life, but lost my husband. Didn't find out till much later that though he had children from previous marriages, he wanted more (mostly to just prove his 'virility' because he was older), but when I got the hysterectomy, he essentially lost interest in me, and we got divorced just a year later. Looking back, I think I had a lot of clues that I had PCOS. I've be overweight most of my life (still am); my mother could not get pregnant for a long time, and it wasn't till she was in her early 40s that she went to the doctor who prescribed some drug that did allow her to become pregnant with me (she had several miscarriages before). I think I may have inherited some gene, from her, toward Androgenism because she had always had facial hair which she plucked constantly, and one of her brothers was so Hirsute that my nickname for his was 'Magilla Gorilla.' I wonder that even though I'm in my 70s now, do I still need to be concerned about my belated PCOS diagnosis? Does other, non-menopausal symptoms persist years after, like problems with Adrenals, Thyroid (no diagnosis yet, but suspect I do have the beginnings of Hypothyroid), Liver (a 'ton' of problems - Hep C (no longer have it); Gallbladder removal; Fatty Liver, etc. Thank you for this presentation Dr. Berry and Dr. Seeman!

It's certainly not hard for me. I can now eat all the foods I was told my entire life would make me fat like steak, bacon, eggs, cheeses, lentils, olive oil and butter, cheesy broccoli, huge delicious salads with all the cheese and meat and egg and nuts you want on them with olive oil and vinegar dressing, peanut butter, ground beef patties with lemon pepper seasoning with asparagus...the options of delicious food are endless. It's amazing. All I had to do was give up potatoes and rice and bread to eat like THIS?! I ate rice and fruit and smoothies for nearly a year doing crazy starvation level caloric restrictions (I got down to 500 calories a day for months!) and couldn't lose a pound and it's because I was eating straight up sugar after I'd become insulin resistant and it was now storing that sugar as fat. When I'm biting into a quite good-sized piece of tender sirloin with a chunk of broccoli with cheddar cheese on top, there is no part of my brain that wishes it was white rice and a potato. Lol 😂

There is so much knowledge dropped here! I'm almost 60 been pcos for most of my adult life with obesity & infertility. At 40, I got control of my life and began low carb (as was preached on a pcos website) lifestyle and started jogging ( just waddling down the street til I could jog 😆), I was also fasting because I became obsessed with getting the weight off. Long story short, I lost 73 lbs in 8 months and my periods became regular, rather I started having periods again without meds. I'm a believer of keto for infertility! I never achieved a pregnancy as my marriage was over but I sure was happy about my new self!

If I knew I was going out to dinner, I would fast all day to save calories for dinner which was usually a fancy salad. I learned to be ok with being hungry. I was obsessed with losing weight.

Lots of good nuggets here. I will add my experience and other nuggets that I learned online from specilized doctors. I am a man on many hormones, but I studied both men and women in terms of both hormones and vitamines and minerals.
While women get most of their progesterone from their ovaries, I do believe the adrenals have to make a certain amount which is far less than the ovaries. However, some women dont even make enough baseline progesterone to be healthy or even lower cortisol driven glucogenesis as well as not adequately produce or regulate the cortico hormones which are midway between the progesterone-cortisol-aldosterone ezymatic pathways. I know that is a mouthful. Bottom line; you need as a man or a woman a certain baseline progesterone level to head off other hormonal dysregulation. Personally I take 60 mg of progesterone cream a day to help regulate other hormones

Diet is important in the process as it will reduce inflammation, insuline resistance. But note that there is also a big link with stress to that needs to be reduced. And if you have a trauma specially childhood trauma it needs to be deal with to calm down the nervous system. High stress increases the cortisol level in the body that in turn push the body to make glucose available in the blood because their is an imminente feeling of danger that needs to be dealt. So fuel to escape (glucose) will be made available by the body by any means ( even by using protein and turning it into glucose ) . What will trigger insuline resistance. That a all process that can cause PCOS: Stress related PCOS. Having each night a restful sleep of 8h and managing stress, dealing with trauma and good diet are essentials. Plus exercises of course. That is multiplidiscinary work that is worthy. It totally empower you to take your body back. Good luck everyone ❤
