Back then, Trihex, Carl, and Lee were basically the 3 pillars of Yoshi's Island speedrunning, although Lee stopped uploading and basically ghosted the community, likely due to regretting that he had lied (though he didn't admit it until he was caught years later). I saw some of his streamed runs live, remember Carl chatting asking him to do a button test during a falling blocks autoscroll section, which he failed to do. I have a suspicion Carl knew as he got very defensive and aggressive towards people who made videos about Lee's fake runs when it was found out. I suspect Carl confronted him or Lee admitted it to him privately, & Carl told him he wouldn't tell anyone if he left the scene. Always thought there was something strange about the way Lee would rarely stream in comparison to other streamers and suddenly vanished despite being held in such high esteem by other top players, who became oddly quiet on the subject of Lee shortly after this run was streamed. Finally made sense when he was caught.
Most of the points in this video are pretty much ripped straight out of a few other people's videos and the narrator acts like its their own thoughts and only charliebrown64 was credited for catching the faked blindfolded super mario 64 run. I feel like if you are decent enough to credit one, you should atleast credit the others aswell

I expected to see ExoSDA, a Super Meat Boy speedrunner that went through the GLORY of being hailed as the one true champion on Speedrun records and took 5 years to be discovered it was actually spliced due to the bandage girl animations.
1:50 This guy that was cheating meant this as a joke, he does do real speedruns and gets some good times and aims for the record, but this got approved as fake and all his runs were deleted.

The sound will still come out of the left or right headphone no matter what way you’re facing
For me, they need to not only be blindfolded but have acid thrown in their eyes prior to the run to make seeing anything literally impossible.
