    You were very fortunate that the adjustable wrench and reverse easy-out worked.
    A pipe wrench would have been a better choice in that circumstance.

    Hey, what size drill/metal did you use? It only made a dent for me

    I would like to know what kind of drill bit you used.

      +William Moye The one in the video is a garbage one, but the pilot holes were drilled by dewalt 'pilot point' bits that are made for drilling metal and they are amazing. I didn't have a dewalt bit big enough so I had to use a crap bit to get the size hole I needed. Find the set I use here: amzn.to/21SjtQb

      Sooo I watched this whole video only to find out that you actually have lug *bolts* instead of lug *nuts* as you stated in the video and title.... 😭 This won't work for me as I would damage the wheel studs

      Yessir the listings are always changing, inventory running out, etc. So I link to the search page so people can choose the one they want, and they can also see that there are different styles available that might better suit their application.

    Spray a little atf and it saves time, protects cooking a drill bit
    It's not a fun job is it.. We know
    Watch those metal slivers we know a dude with 2 in his eye
    Mri machines would suck the pieces out of his eye
    Hope you had safety glasses on
    Good video and we saw a glove at the end 👍

      @aDIYCarGuy  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Crazy Funny Cats will consider the atf for next time, i'm pretty heavy on the safety glasses but lax on the gloves, it depends on what I'm doing for gloves.

    those look almost identical to my rims but mine were painted and have a way bigger lip. ASA Revolution Racing is the name

    • @aDIYCarGuy
      @aDIYCarGuy  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +fockyoumang These are the ASA AR1's. I like the way they look, but I wish I had the 15's instead of the 17's. The 17's bend easier on the Mini because there is barely any suspension on the car lol. What size are your rims and what car are they on?

    • @aDIYCarGuy
      @aDIYCarGuy  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +fockyoumang Sorry I just found this comment waiting to be approved because of the link. I see what you mean with the lip difference. I think the offset is specific to the vehicle.

      Your speed is very important. Too fast you'll damage the drill bit. Colbalt drills harden steel.

      To drill metal, in general push hard, go slow, and use cutting oil. With harder metals, even slower and do everything you can to prevent heat build up at the tip of the drill bit. Use sharp bits etc..
      I've had luck with carefully welding an old socket right to the lug.

      a) you guys aren’t using good tools. Use cobalt alloy drill bits. Cobalt not kobalt
      b) why would you ruin a socket when you can just weld a junk nut or bolt on?!!
