This is the first short film I watched on youtube that makes me feel like I'm watching a movie. This is so fucking great. Big shoutout to the director, I loved that camera movement, felt so much right for the emotional purpose.
Spectacular. A story like this deserved to be shot with the best camera possible, and the S1H delivered. Who needs an ARRI Alexa LF? This seriously belongs in a film festival because it's AMAZING.
This is epic!!! Forget S1H, I’m talking about the storyline, screenplay, acting, etc, etc. For a moment I thought I was watching a full length film. Great job guys ❣️
This film is quite beautiful as well as moving. It had me tearing up! I know the star is supposed to be the camera, but what an outstanding job by the actors. Impressive all-round.
This short film has ZERO FAT...Every single second count. WOW. Just WOW. Cinematography and acting is on point, the sound design is perfect! PLEASE make some more!
Compare it to the video on the official panasonic channel. Was their video not graded? This looks so much better and shows way better what the Camera is capable of
Congratulations on the story, the beautiful, artful and unconvetional cinematography, the editing, the soundeffects and great acting... Very touching film!
WOW... WOW, just WOW! I was searching for videos on s1H and stump upon this. What a random chance that a random channel has a Netflix-worth (just because Netflix approved s1h, but this could be hollywood-worth) grade short film... Mindblew.
Holy shit! You are way too underrated, this is Hollywood grade editing and cinematography, I would love to see a complete film provided you have the budget
@@AlexBloggFilm Definitely not, Ad Astra is a nihilistic and depressing anti-space psychological drama. This and Interstellar are pretty much the opposite.
@@AlexBloggFilm In a way Interstellar does a similiar thing except it's the father that ventures into deep space. And even though Kepler 138 and Ad Astra have a common theme, they're completely different spiritually.
So... amazing video... I also shoot on Panasonic (gh5). I couldn't help but notice the extra cast member... holding a gimbal... in the reflection at 5:36
I like the authenticity of the film...especially at 5:36, we can see another astronaut holding some kind of space tool thru the reflection of the girl's helmet! It appears that the astronauts are investigating the planet. Obviously, a lot of planning and production value went into this film to get such coverage. If I made a film like this, I probably would have messed up and had some crew guy in the shot.
This was absolutely amazong from start to finish. I want to commend you in making this phenomenal masterpiece. From one filmmaker to another this is a beautiful, transending story.
Wow, amazing work. I jut had two moments where the fiction fell apart: at 5:36 you can see the reflection of the cinematographer and the camera on her helmet, and the shot at 6:01 shows a really old motherboard. but i'm just nitpicking. I loved the shallow Depth of field that makes you feel lost just like the blind dad, and that shot at 4:35 took my breath away
Amazing stuff, beautifully framed and well paced, seems to hit some good emotional beats aswell. I’m impressed that you managed to fit so much story into such a short amount of time. Can’t wait to see what you make next!
Came for the S1H, stayed for the story. Amazing work guys, very moving.
Same👍

Hee hee😂😂... U r the Alien one. !
Everyone also... After you ..me too!!
Did anyone else want to crying watching this
Anybody else totally forget they were here for a review??
the lighting choices inform this story so well. enveloping the blind father in darkness for most of the short was an excellent choice.
This was incredible! Really show's what a great filmmaker and the S1H can do.
WooooW what a movie 🤣🤣🤣🤣…. I’m not even talking from a technical perspective either
Beautiful
*Wow ! What did I just see ?! Incredible, emotional, and powerful. Very well acted, edited, and well shot. This is quality work.*
This is wonderful on a lot of levels. Please do a BTS that shows how the S1H was used.

Well, in that case, I will be getting the LUMIX S1H as soon as possible.
Great work!! love those Anamorphic flares!!!
I don't give a damn about the S1h, but THIS, this is one of the most beautiful things I've seen in my life. Thank you.

Excellant !!!
I actually forgot about the camera this was filmed on, and instead was immersed in the story and cinematography. Great job!
You just made me subscribe to follow you. This is by far one of the most well produced short film I’ve ever seen. Quality is so rich.
WOW.

Amazing story and epic cinematography!
This is exceptional on so many levels. Everyone involved should be very proud.

Homage to interstellar.

Amazing shots, nice story !! great work
The movie is nicely served by a gorgeous cinematography and sound. Can someone tell what lenses have been used for it ? Thanks
Tribe7 Blackwings for the "earth portion" and Atlas Orions for the "kepler world"
This was incredible Jacob! 🙏🏻📽✨️
Amazing work
Waiting for the price of this camera to drop already... (2)+ years later and it's still like $3500.... SIGH !!!
Gosh Panasonic done a great job. But a part of this such a nice story. Amazing.

Simon Geswin wow, good eye!
WOOOOW!
How the hell does this not have atleast 1M views?
Cause it doesn't have SONY on the title. It doesn't appeal to the fanboy masses. Sick video, and the quality was amazing.
Amazing work! The story, the cinematography, the color just everything :)
Job well done fellas.
That is the worlds longest lasting oxygen tank ever!! This was amazing guys. Nice job 👍
this is soo underated, wow!
good job!
Theres an important takeaway comment below if you read on - this crew needs to "make more"
Hoping to do so!
Nice touch with the Panasonic products...
Holy shit... this was incredible
searching for a comment that says " this looks so good. how is the continuous AF in video? is this good for youtube?"
We didn't use AF, cause I don't give AF!
Peter Mosiman the cinematography is really great in this. you did a great job as DP
@@ruffprophetproductions ha thanks y'all. it is very much appreciated.
Peter Mosiman - what sort of lenses were used in this production? Amazing shots!
This looks amazing 👌🏽
I think camera doesn't matter in this case, beautiful done
What lens was used on this for flash back scene of the girl in the garden? That circular rainbow flare is beautiful.
That was the Tribe 7 Black Wings
Damn. That. Was. Beautiful.
