    100% I would take the cutting the nerve options,50 pairs on supportive insoles, pairs of custom insoles, stretch constantly and probably know more stretches for my legs/feet than most people in the country yet nothing is working for me when all I want to do is continue working for a living without having to get off my feet at around 2 hours max because I can’t take the pain any longer.if they said right now we can chop your feet off and replace them with wooden stumps and you would have no more pain I would seriously consider it 😢😢😢

    Cleveland clinic surgeons and podiatrist said i have plantar fasciitis so i changed shoes walked with a special boot got 2 cortisone injections purchased orthotics, stretched my entire lef and foot.frozen water bottles,tennis ball .lots of anti-inflammatory pills and still had lots of pain.On july 2022 they did a procedure called Tenjet where i was told a small incision on the side of the heel would be done and a high pressure saline would help break down the scar tissue for the plantar fascia. Everything went well but when the anestesia was gone later that day i was in excruciating pain thankfully i had an old set of crutches. I informed the Doctors immediately just to be told give it 6 months .here i am with alot of pain and now my pain has worsen now i feel burning sensations and as if i had a beating throbbing pain.the initial pain was right dead center of the bottom of my heel now i feel alot of pain towards the inner arch and heel.I really feel that the Tenjet procedure damged something on my foot.Now i started a new job and will have insurance coverage starting February. I feel i reached a dead end here now i cant even excercise and its so difficult to work or do anything ot really stinks

      I'm sorry that pain is happening. It's hard to say for sure without an evaluating, but look into a supportive soft insole like powersteps, a good shoe like a Brooks beast/Hoka with a lot of support & cushion. There potentially could be scar tissue pain or it might not have fixed the initial issue and unfortunately just made it more sore.

      I have seen it for sure, it is a variation on the endoscopic plantar fasciotomy and the open plantar fadciotomy. My biggest concern with people who want surgery is that they still have all the underlying factors that caused plantar fasciitis in the first place. We have a lot of success with great physical therapy like active release, graston, massage balls and even shockwave therapy. Surgery is not a miracle but can be effective in the right patient.

    Mine is coming from the side of my right foot the left side in particular, it is like a slicing throbbing burning pain, I had an ultrasound showing a spur at the calcaneal insert along with thickening of the achilles tendon diagnosed as tendonosis, at that time my only pain was in the mid portion of my achilles, this side of the foot pain started 3 weeks later and it happens when I sleep when I walk it pretty much has mind of its own,

    Had anterior hip replacement three weeks ago today. The day after surgery woke up with intense heel pain on same side as hip replacement. Happens most nights. Will see the surgeon in 3.5 weeks. Reading on the internet perhaps some type of nerve issue?

    Hello! You've listed time in a boot for the ultimate irritated Baxter's as a method to calm it down. I was non-weight bearing for 2 weeks months ago. Medial heel pain went away but came back within days of resumed weight bearing, even with minimal step count (1500 steps per day). I'm in the inflamed state and have been for months, but still doing rehab within pain limits for ankle sprain. Is it worth booting again to calm it down or was my NWB test enough info? Already had one steroid injection which helped for 10 days, hydrodissection of the Baxter's nerve which did nothing, and they want to try PRP for the plantar fascia next which I am dreading. My PT thought the time in boot would do more good than the PRP itself, so that comment along with your video has me contemplating just booting it again. I don't want to boot unnecessarily though due to leg atrophy.
    PS a video about medial calcaneal nerve vs Baxter's nerve would by very nice.

    I have this severe sharp heel pain that only occurs when I straighten my leg while sitting or when standing while like you would for a calf stretch (or something similar).
    During normal activities such as walking there is zero pain, and when the pain does show up, it shows up all at once and then dissapears just as quickly once I move back to a non-aggravating position. This started just a few days ago and is something I have never experienced before.

      We see the medial calcaneal nerve and at the bottom Baxter's nerve, usually though the symptoms are very different such as night time pain more than morning pain

    • @DrTomBiernacki
      @DrTomBiernacki  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Plantar fasciitis is more of the morning pain and soreness that can then cause nerve pain

    • @dolphbade
      @dolphbade 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could also be nerve entrapment originating at the tarsal tunnel syndrome which is the nerve passing through the ankle. Or it could be entrapment behind the knee at the top of the calf muscles aka tense calf and hamstrings, or entrapment through the pelvis (tight glutes/hip flexors/groin) Or you could have nerve entrapment at the spine in the lower lumbar S1L4L5. I'll post a link that explains it well. First thing is take ice The feet in a bucket of ice water and then take a hot bath full of Epsom salt. Do this twice a day if you can That will give some good relief at least it did for me because it loosens up all the muscles and hydrates the nerve channel to allow it to slide better

    • @dolphbade
      @dolphbade 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      th-cam.com/video/WHhhwZX7RMI/w-d-xo.html. This explains all the other areas of entrapment, how to test for them and a little bit of how to relieve them. And then do tons of research of scientific papers physiopedia is great resource. Look at where all the nerves in the foot come from up the leg, If yours is on the heel it's likely from the tibial nerve that runs straight up the back of the calf and attaches to the sciatic

      The tough part about heel pain is that the chronic versions people go see their doctor for are rarely if ever just because of something going on with the heel, it's usually the result of numerous biomechanical issues that may need evaluation and treatment.
