Absolutely agree. So many Americans adore Princess Catherine. Such as me. We are NOT proud of her at all! Please allow every person on their own merits! I understand, of course, but she has been in my bad book since I saw her standing outside in the Kensington Palace garden. That women was wearing no stockings. Knowing that hose/stockings was a requirement for women, my mouth dropped. Suspicions got larger when I saw her dominating Harry. I wondered where oh where did THIS one come from!!
Somehow the rumor that the quote "Recollections may vary" was attributed to Catherine.
Meghan, using the race card was hideous and incredibly TRAGIC for ALL the work 😢 that the Royal Family has done. Many, the vast amount of Americans, DO NOT like Nutmeg.

People may think it is "silly" but the Royal Family is keeping history alive. Queen Cammilla does look like a smiling and vivacious person. Prince William has homelessness, the Earthshot, and mental health.

Valentine Low always comes across as kind and balanced, but nothing I have seen of Harry in recent years suggests he would be happy moving to southern Africa and working on environmental projects. He genuinely seems to enjoy the limelight - at least when people are praising him. I think the conflict within him is that he can't admit that to himself.

Oh come on, she passed herself as white until she figured she could use being black to her advantage, they were so scared that she would call them racists if they didn't bow down to her every wish, and she knew it and used it. Now in order to prove her blackness she uses bronzers within an inch of her life! They are lazy and think they should get millions because they are royal, it doesn't work like this in USA you have to work to get paid. Titles do bring a certain amount of notice but who cares you need to work to get a paycheck, and 12 podcasts normally does not bring 20 million dollars especially as boring as they were.

For those who complain about too much royal coverage, I would argue that it's important to intersperse humor or simply human interest stories in with the serious stuff. So please keep it up with the latter.

Princess Catherine is a badass. Period. The woman is intelligent, talented, curious, kind and can bake! She is fit and buff and I enjoyed her interaction with the ball boys and girls at Wimbledon. She was trained by the Queen and went through christening by fire by the newspapers and gossips. Meghan auditioned as white. Throughout her auditions she either passed herself off as tanned or Italian. Name one person who made racist remarks from the palace staff and we will raise you one Marlene. Im sorry but Britain is over 80% white. The Royal Family reflects that. Just because you want to force diversity down people's throats doesnt mean you do that with an institution that is hundreds of years old. And to be fair, Meghan was never gojng to stay and I dont think the Queen anticipated anyone not wanting to be a royal. If the Queen couldnt see the grifter she was then how could the staff? Seems to me the only person who saw her forwhat she was, was Prince Philip - and he woukd have known all about yacht girls and their games. He was another badass who wouodnt tolerate nonsense and saw right through Meghan when he warned Prince Henry about her. He chose not to listen.

We shouldn't forget that recollections may also vary regarding who made who cry during the wedding preparations. I reckon Kate would have been determined to refute the allegation that she had made m cry as it was an affront to her and her daughter, more than the allegations of racism. It may have given her the strength to insist.

You mentioned about lack of diversity in the Royal staffs and in my opinion I feel that this is one of the areas I feel like things are being forced upon just for the point of political correctness. In my view, you cannot expect minority of population to be prominently featured everywhere and occupy the majority of the important spaces. I can say the same thing for US basketball teams where the players are paid tremendous amount of money, why are there less White players than Black players and almost no Asian players in the team? Is that being racially prejudiced against the Asians and the Whites? I, as an Asian person, am not complaining about lack of Asians in the American basket ball team because I understand that people go by talent for what they are good at. Otherwise, it becomes a reverse racism where people are given prominent positions just because of their skin colour. The reason that the royal staffs are predominantly white may be because the Asian and the Blacks may have likely lesser understanding of the traditions and roles of the royalty compared to the White British counterparts or may be that the Asians and the Blacks may have less interest in the institution of royalty and therefore they may seek employment elsewhere. I think that when people are trying to force things upon just to be politically correct, it takes away from the cause and it is counter productive.
I so agree! This racist wokeness is crazy! There is no reason to demand an even number of all colors of people everywhere. As a matter of fact it is dangerous and destructive.
Here in the US, black people are 13% of the population but are the majority in advertising by a substantial margin since 2020. There are more Hispanics, but they rarely appear.

As the great Martin Luther King once said "people should not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."
It is so difficult to believe that after everything H and M put everyone through the courtiers we’re still afraid to make them mad. Clearly the POW was exactly correct and it is heartening that the P/POW have advisors who have dealt with people like M. HMTQ courtier’s should have seen MM for who she is and she should have told H you can marry her but you will not be working royals.
Archie and Lily are now titled prince and princess. Case close regarding Meghan’s claims regarding royal racism and this proves her lies in the OW interview. In addition Harry stated this in Tom Bradby interview “Right, wouldn’t you describe that as essentially racist?” Tom asked referring to Meghan's mention of the royal family member asking for Archie's skin colour, to which Harry said, “I wouldn’t, not having lived within that family.” Harry said so himself that the royal family is not racist and in OW interview, both Meghan and Harry stated that the conversation was with Harry and NOT Meghan regarding Archie's skin colour. Harry should know if that conversation was racially motivated or not. Both Meghan and Harry have been proven to tell lies repeated over the past few years and they have no credibility.
There was a very serious accusation of racist comment allegedly made by one of the royal family member during OW interview but my problem with her accusation was the vagueness of her accusation without context of the conversation or naming of the specific perpetrator noted in the accusation. For example, a mixed race family often will speculate on the hair colour, skin colour, the eye colour of the baby without any sinister intent. Speculating the skin colour does not mean that it was racist. Did they twist the context to make it sound more sinister than it actually is? The reason that I am bringing this up is because, she has done that twisting the truth, misleading the audience to fit her victim narrative repeatedly through out the interview. She had more than 10 factual inaccuracies through out the interview. Another concern with this point of racism accusation is the fact that Meghan gave the account of having multiple conversations about Archie’s skin colour during the pregnancy but Harry’s account of this is different from Meghan. He stated that it was only one conversation prior to their marriage and he was even vague about it by changing the subject to the fact that his family wanted Meghan to continue to act because there was not enough money for her. So I wonder on accuracy or truthfulness of their accusation. Both of them proved to be misleading with a lot of their later statements and in my view, if you lie once a lot of your claim’s credibility gone out the window.
I also do not believe that the British senior royal family members are racist. Both Charles and William are well travelled and have met countless people from all different walks of life including world leaders, people of different ethnic background. With those experiences came worldly wisdom and knowledge. Prince Phillip famously poured a glass of cordial to the black White House butlers and had a conversation as equals to those butlers. The Queen was a friend of Nelson Mandela and famously had direct line of contact with him whenever one wants to talk to the other. Both the Queen and Prince Phillip had danced with black leaders and hosted events to black Commonwealth leaders over the years until their final years serving the country. They are all busy with their own schedules that include royal engagements, Duchy’s financial dealings, learning the rope for the future monarchical role, decision makings regarding modernising monarchy, looking after their own young family in the case of William. Their plate is full with things to be concerned with already that they have no time to worry about Harry’s and his biracial wife’s baby skin colour for which they cannot change or do anything about. It is just absurd to suggest what Meghan suggested in the OW interview.
Another thing to note is that the royal family allowed Harry to marry a biracial woman who is as light as a Caucasian and yet the royal family is supposed to be concerned with the colour of the baby who will be lighter than his/her mother by logic. I mean what will be the point of the royal family concerning over the baby’s skin colour when they already accepted the biracial mother into the family knowing that she will have a baby to Harry? It just does not make sense.
There was an insinuation that Archie was not given the title prince and HRH due to possibility of his skin colour. That is a total BS. The thing is Archie not being given the royal title is due to 100 year old George V protocol and it is nothing to do with his skin colour. George V protocol states that only up to grandchildren of the Reigning Monarch and in direct line to the throne thereafter is allowed to have HRH and prince title. Archie as a great grandchild is not eligible for the title. Anyone can understand that and Meghan as a somewhat smart person should understand that very easily. She twisting things is very clear with this.
There was also insinuation that Archie was not given protection due to his skin colour. Again, Meghan twisting things to suit her own agenda. Andrew’s 2 daughters do not get royal protection, so as Princess Anne’s and Prince Edward’s children. It is not surprising that Harry’s children will not get royal protection either as he is not direct line to the throne. Yes it is harsh but it is the monarchical system and Harry should be aware of that since he was born into the system. Again nothing to do with Archie’s skin colour.
Meghan stated that she only wanted Archie to get the title prince so that he can have security. Again, Eugenie and Beatrice are titled princesses and HRH and yet they are not eligible for royal security protection. Princess Anne and Prince Edward(Count of Wessex) have prince and princess titles and HRH and yet they only have the royal security while doing royal duties/public engagement and not 24/7 security. The decision of who get the security in the royal family is not made by the royal family themselves but from RAVEC for the Metropolitan Police department. This discussion about Archie not getting the security linked to his skin colour should not have been made from the start as that decision is nothing to do with the royal family. This security was provided courtesy of the UK tax-payers and after they chose to step back from positions of working for the people of the UK as working royals, they are not entitled to the security.
There was also insinuation that Royal family was racist. If that is the case then, I don’t understand why would Prince Charles spent $3million out of his own pocket to pay for their extravagant royal wedding with the blessing of the Queen and walked Meghan down the aisle. It would have been easier to disagree to the wedding from the start. They were given royal titles as a wedding gifts. No privileges were spared to them. She was the first fiancee along with her mum Doria to spend Christmas at Sandringham with the royal family and the first royal woman to go on royal train with the Queen for royal engagement mere weeks after her wedding. Even Kate, future Queen Consort, was not given these privileges. Some very ungrateful and disgraceful 2 some.

The monarchy's role in modern era encompasses stability, diplomacy, philanthropy, economic contribution and cultural heritage. Unlike US, monarchy's role is to provide continuity and stability which prevent what happened in the Capitol Hill in the US in 2021.The royal family possesses/yields soft power and the royal family's role is to act as diplomat to maintain/create/negotiate political, economic ties with foreign countries. Case in point, King Charles' recent visit to Germany. The royal family members are involved in tremendous numbers of causes and charities that benefit the UK/Commonwealth/the world at large. The royal family is a brand and the Queen was arguably the most famous woman in the world. They attract tourism due to their pomp and ceremony that are associated with that cultural heritage. The royal family acts as a cultural identity of UK and it is a living museum. There is a lot to celebrate in that heritage.
People calling for abolishing monarchy forget to mention is that having referendum cost money and if referendum is successful in becoming republic, drawing the new constitution cost money. We are talking about hundreds of millions here. Becoming republic does not necessarily mean that there will be cost cutting for the country. For example, US election in 2020 cost $14 billions and inauguration of the president cost $100 million. Then there are redecoration of the White House every time the president changed over and the cost of staffs change over and office reorganisation which runs to the tens of millions. Every living presidents (5 total currently) and his/her spouse will be given health care security, pension, offices, travel cost which runs to the hundreds of millions every year.
The royals do contribute to the betterment of UK. The Prince's Trust set up by then Prince Charles has helped over 1 million youth to turn their lives around to get skills and job they need. Prince William is setting up initiatives to reduce homelessness and Catherine is involved in nurturing early years to reduce addiction and mental health problems as adults.
The royal earns more than they cost. Monarchy brings in millions to the country via tourism (the Queen is the biggest brand out there), advertising the British brands (what Kate and her children wear usually are sold out very quickly) , increase employments (appointing staffs to the running of the palaces, running of the household etc). In addition, they raise tremendous amount of funds for charity. William and Kate via Royal foundation donated 15 million pounds in 2021-2022. The Queen has raised over $2 billion for charity over her lifetime. The amount that they cost pale in comparison to the money that they bring in.

@@philmcraig There are a lot of misinformation regarding royal finances as well. There are a lot of noise made about royals being funded by the tax payer's money when in actuality, it is not tax payer's money at all. The Sovereign Grant is 15-25% of the income generated from the Crown's Estate (the Crown's Estate belongs to the Monarch of the country) and therefore it is not taxpayer's money but the Crown's money. They fund themselves. The Sovereign Grant does not fund the royals themselves but the Sovereign Grant pays for property upkeep (maintaining the historic royal palaces and castles) and utilities, the family's travel, and royal employee payroll. The working royals are funded by the Duchy of Lancaster and Duchy of Cornwall's income which are private incomes for the Monarch and the Prince of Wales respectively. Essentially, monarchy fund for itself except for the security cost of the senior working royals (only King, Queen, Prince and Princess of Wales get full time security while others only get security while on royal duties) which are paid for by the tax payers.

Ffs, the only "shelf life" the Poundland Prince has is in his head. The Princess Royal, Anne is still busy, loved and dutiful as well as bringing up two wonderful children. She could have taken the view that she was only a daughter and therefore 4th in the pecking order so she could just sit back and do nothing. 8nstead she has followed in her predecessors shoes (Princess Mary, the Princess Royal) and supported her late mother and now her brother. She has never whinged about her place in the succession getting lower with each birth, it just means she can get on with her work. One point to make is that Anne is 100% royal, her mother and father were blood royals. Harry is only 50% royal his mother was a commoner, albeit aristocratic but still a non royal.
What C and C did was too monumental to overlook now. The consequences are irreversible. At least the showyness should be toned way down.

This was a disheartening listening experience. I made it to the end. There is ONE story re: Harry and Meghan. Only ONE story that matters. The only Black members of the family have been ostracized. That’s it. It’s the only story. The RF is too weak, too ignorant (these are not intelligent people) to even understand how they wrecked their brand by refusing to listen when one of its members was suffering.
Thank for listening Stella. We did discuss how bad it looks for the only non white member of the family to leave it feeling so very aggrieved when Valentine came on in November. And with my work on how Diana was (mis)treated (in another episode about my biography of her) I am easily persuaded that the family can turn very nasty. I guess in this case I also believe that the 'sussex survivor squad' also have their truths to tell and that there was clearly a spectacular breakdown of relations (or culture clash) at the heart of this.

Meghan was given so much from an extravagant wedding to houses in London and Windsor. She was given patronages and an elevated role in The Commonwealth. The Media turned against her but she chose not to call her ob-gyn when she was depressed. Harry had his own therapist on speed-dial, as we know from the dog bowl incident in Spare. If a husband will not put his wife in touch with a therapist, and the wife chooses not to consult her doctor who was coming to the house daily, why is it his family's fault?
