Phil, please do an update on your book on Diana. I would love to read it, but can’t get my hands on it! I’m glad you’re continuing with the podcast. I am not a natural supporter of the Royal Family, being a Scot with deep Irish roots, and having a grandfather who was one of the first members of the Independent Labour Party in Scotland, and an active member at that, but Harry and Meghan’s antics have turned me into a supporter, albeit not the most ardent, of the current Royal Family. On the brothers’ ‘feud’, I do think there are some things which are hard to forgive, and Harry’s childish, sly, nasty comments on his family, particularly his brother and his wife, which seem to be rooted in deep envy, fall into that category, imo. Anyway, I’m always interested in hearing other opinions!

Thank you for your reply about wish for your Diana book in audible. Yes, I have the Kindle version but would buy audible if it becomes available. Thank you for the ongoing gift of your content.

This has been one of a few important sources of relief in recent times. In a previous incarnation I had many subscriptions but no time to enjoy them. Now in a caring role I've plenty of listening time, but lack the means to reward those who've helped me through. Hopefully changing a bit in the near future, will be good to be able to help a little those who've helped me a lot.

I enjoy your podcasts immensely! It’s brilliant you are carrying-on. But are these “quasi royal tours” successful? They can create difficulties for the countries with their faux pas and thoughtless comments. Whilst in British Columbia, Prince Harry met with Lil’wat nation Chiefs to discuss “truth and reconciliation”. He also issued a statement they would discuss it further when he returns for the Invictus Games. On this jaunt, he doesn’t represent HM King Charles III, as Head of State of Canada, or the Canadian government. He shouldn’t be mucking about in this issue. Similarly, on other visits they are representing no one but themselves.

Funny and strange that the royal reporter drools and sighs how lovely MM could be in RF pictures. No one believes that perhaps the royal house had serious reason to get rid of the couple. And if you can use the same logic with other state entities - oh, the police chief was corrupt and lost his job. But he/she was so pretty, think how much better a press conference could look with him/she. Sigh.

Re / Trump and Covid. He makes up so many stories he’s hard to know what to dig into ! On the flip side, I’m sure there were stories out there in 2016 about stormy Daniel’s payments which were swept under the rug !

Again I will reiterate that I believe the whole Royal Lodge fiasco is a beat up by the media for selling newspapers etc. I don’t believe the King would involve himself in an unseemly wrangling with his brother over such a matter. I may turn out to be wrong but since both Princess Anne & Prince Edward have substantial properties I can quite see why Prince Andrew is not prepared to settle for less. It remains to be seen whether Prince William continues to shield him when he becomes Monarch.

You’ve obviously never dealt with rampant jealousy from a sibling Phil. I have & I’m telling you there is a point of no return. When the sibling makes it plain they do not have your best interests at heart & are prepared to go to almost any length to discredit you, disadvantage you & even seek to use your own child against you then it’s sayonara from me & its sayonara from Prince William. Not that the latter has happened in his instance. Yet.

The Royal family today is no more responsible for the actions of its forbears than I am of mine or you are of yours. Ridiculous to be expected ‘reparations’ in monetary terms. Their roles as ambassadors for Great Britain within the Commonwealth has garnered trade benefits to all the Nations of the Commonwealth & improved the quality of life in a myriad of other ways with educational & cultural benefits. That’s been the role of the Monarch within the Commonwealth since its institution.

So pleased Phil you spoke about Trump and the media. I have been following the pending American elections and have been alarmed with the influence by major media outlets into trying to dupe the voters into believing that Trump will be the "ideal" future President. Intentionally omitting information on what he wants to implement once he becomes the President. The Project 25 sums up all that the voters should know and unfortunately media outlets like FOX News don't tell the middle and working class the dire consequences if Trump wins and implements it. The hosts on FOX's panelist shows are pro Trump, as are their guests. Except for one whose name I can't recall. Interestingly they regularly invite the Democrat Pete Buttigieg onto their show but unfortunately the Trump "noise" tends to bury his message, to the voters. The likes of Murdoch, Musk and Trump have many things in common. Power no matter what it takes from others, Greed what ever it costs others and heartless if their actions has others suffer. My daughter in Europe is a Global Journalist for a well regarded and unbiased international media outlet and as she says there are very few media outlets in the world who stay neutral and present the facts. The MeidasTouch podcast in America is one outlet which exposes Trump and the MAGA Movement's agenda. Which unfortunately is not well known. BTW! I love the diversity in subjects you cover. Speaking a little about the media on this podcast adds further to expanding our minds and learn from each other. 🦘

Yes Phil there are always 2 sides to every story, I too find trump distasteful but I find Kamala/Mamala even more distasteful in fact downright TERRIFYING. The fact that Markle is so cosy with her Democrat cronies & that the hapless handbag is exuding so much misery… is all very very telling. So I am hoping & praying for the health of the world that Trump gets in & that RFK has some positive influence over his policies especially where health and farming practices are concerned! I only care about policies & the democrats are hiding their policies except for the really toxic ones that target the health of the youngest & most vulnerable THE CHILDREN… offering them up to rogue medical practices as Guinea pigs. It’s GROTESQUE & CRIMINAL.

HI Phil, definately don't agree with a lot of your opions, but i like the way you put them forward, and makes me think about why I agree or don't. So many people just rant on about their ideas as if there can be no other, keep it up, will continue to listen. One thing though, please refer to Princess Catherine as Catherine, not Kate. She want's to be called that, just a sign of respect to anyone to use the name that they wish to be called

Meghan, the changemaker, the one who gives women a voice? IMO, it's not about women to be heard, it's about HER, giving this voice! That's the only explanation I have for her behaviour when Camilla, the then Duchess of Cornwall gave a speech for the fight against domestic violence. Why are her fotos of a 'secret meeting' at the national theatre so important that they had to be published at this day?? This was done intentional to draw the attention away from Camilla (easy to do) but in reality she draw the attention away from women who need attention and support - is it just me who finds this disgusting, especially for a selfproclaimed feminist???

What is at the root of the vicious hatred of Meghan, I wonder. Is it that she's very American, very take-charge, very biracial? The same could be said of the next president of the US! Strong women, especially strong women of color, often run up against enormous irrational disapproval, even fear. I'd love to hear a more balanced take on Meghan, including what Britain has lost by making it impossible for her to continue in any useful role in the reconciliation and reparations process you describe.

I find a degree of irony for all your talk about people entrenched in their echo chambers yet you continue to defend Harry who is among the most egregious today suppressing a free press. The bullying that Trump exacted is identical to the dark arts being carried out by the Sussex camp. Harry loved colluding with the press as long as it was favorable to bigging him up. I find nothing to defend Harry's behavior. Of course Charles has used the press for selfish motives and he continues to do so; however, you conveniently overlook that Harry was fine with it as long as *HE* was a beneficiary. I do question your judgement toward Harry. Didn't you jump on the "Where's Kate?" bandwagon when there was no evidence of anything untoward going on other than scurrilous conjecture? Or perhaps in your bias toward Harry you have too willingly developed an antipathy against William?
