I like the Indian for the lack of oil cooler...a real, completely air cooled engine...but I prefer the H-D softail mono-shock frame. H-D does do a pretty decent job of the oil cooler though..slim and between the rails = fairly inconspicuous.
The original chief was the daddy and had closed in fenders...I dont get why they used the name for what I can see is polaris looking back to victory for ideas....they should have kept both brands and used victory and the scout as performance machines and kept the big Indians as close so the original look and names ie: chief also the new chieftain and springfield along side with the touring victorys....basically big premium tourers and performance steel frame bikes
The Indian Chief, Chief Bobber, and Super Chief have the Thunderstroke 111ci. The 116ci version is in the Chief Dark Horse, the Bobber Dark Horse, and the Super Chief Limited.
@@RidgeRoamer Sorry you are wrong, there is only ONE Chief Bobber aka dark horse, and it have 116ci.There is no another Chief bobber that i said, there is no another Chief Bobber with 111ci. Two bobbers; chief bobber 116ci and scout bobber 69ci, Indian haveno more bobbers than the ones i just writte to you.
@@wotankrieg You probably are not from the US. In the US they have the regular Chief with the 111 engine. I think in most other countries they only make the dark horse versions available
So they are, in fact, very different. The Chief’s getting the upper hand for my wants and needs. But sincerely, both great bikes.
Just bought the Standard and love it. To each theyre own. Pa here
Great review! Well done as usual!
Thank you!

Excellent review, very well done sir!
Did you try the different ride modes?
Harley really needs to learn from Victory/Indian, less seals, less oil sumps, just streamline
Its obvious you just do get it
Yeah, no streamline for us. Cookie cutter Indian vs a build whatever look and feel you want... HD all the way!
Which of them are more nible or better said agile in cornering and slow speed manouvers?
Ill go with the softail cuz I have one but the Indian is sweet too
I like the 3 hole design. My bike shifts so much better after draining the motor oil out of the trans and filling with, wait for it.....trans fluid.
Hmmmmm, I'll pass on both in favor of newer technology found in imports..👍🏽
But great Vid brother!
this guy likes Indian motorcycles better
shout out from PA, HD forever case closed.

Харлей лучше, не аргумент. Как раз гоняю на нем
