This is exactly what i am looking for. I had the boss 50 in my eyes for a while, but i knew i would be plugging the headphones in all the time. This is bang on what i was waiting for!
I do use the Katana Go together with the Boss Bluetooth Footswitch on Stage. Directly going into Mackie Thump Go and from there with the DI Out to the Mixing Console. It sounds really great.
The outro sound was stunning...! I wasn't really much convinced by the Fender Mustang plug-amp, but this one... wow ! As to the price, it is the equivalent to 10 high-grade string sets so stop complaining about obsolescence. Just play it and have fun ! Well done Boss, the app and the options are breathtaking...
I know using an app for tones is less convenient sometimes, but for me that's the kind of thing that really sets the fender back a lot. Even cheaper headphone amps have app control, and it gives you so much more control over your sound instead of just general "tone" knobs/buttons. It's just super helpful to be able to adjust highs, mids, and lows independently. ESPECIALLY for something like a headphone amp where it's going to be coming through different sound sources. Different headphones, speakers etc which are all going to sound different and likely need adjustments. As opposed to like a combo amp which is usually just coming through the built in speaker no matter where you travel with it.
I love this idea, but I absolutely hate the built-in jack. Besides the fragility it introduces (one wrong move and the whole thing is useless), I'm sure it makes it much harder to tweak the settings while plugged in (must use app). Also, imagine how long the USB cable has to be to use it as an interface. I guess a male-to-female cable would be a workaround for those issues, but that's my point. If I'm going to have to use a cable, why not just make it a plug?
Thanks for the demo guys. Seems like a cool gadget to have for noodling on the couch or anywhere for that matter. I noticed there are quite a few of these devices out now but maybe this is the best one yet? Just hope the battery lasts long enough to make it worth the purchase. Cheers

Very good sound from the Katana (natural Drive is great). I've been searching for this kind of tools to practice during trips : the one from Fender is good but not "tweekable", I didn't like the sound from the Nux, I ended with the Spark go that I really like as phone amp (and smart band option) ... but it lacks the room option from the boss ... one of the most important thing when you are playing with headphones ! Iwill go to my local store to compare the 2 side by side. Cheers !
For the love of God, that custom stage feel is so good 😂 You guys made the Go sound great indeed, much better than some other units out there! Wish there was something similar when I started. Definitely gonna give it a try. Thanks Kris and Guillaume!
Like everything Katana, sounds great! I have a Kat head, a GX100 and WAZA headphones so probably don't need this, but won't let that stop me from buying it! 🙂
Great product but why no stereo option ? Headphones are stereo by nature , why no lush chorus’s or head swirling delays , I get the stage mode is a way towards it but , maybe offer the option to switch to having the fx in stereo might sway some buyers , me included . Great demo 😊👍
I think evolution is eventually going to offer this technology mounted in the pickguard or body , with access patch change tap buttons, easily available.
Just bought from Thomann. Nice product but is it right that if I'm using a youtube backing track the master volume on the katana rise or decrease also youtube volume? Hope they're gonna fix it with an update. Some videos' audio are really bad and if you can't lower the guitar volume whitout decreasing the video's audio is a huge problem.

You can use bluetooth for audio streaming from your phone (eg. backing tracks) instead. In this case no matter if the audio will start out of sync from the time you press the play button and the time you start to listening to it.
