Upgrading to a clip in style makes a huge difference and I highly recommend it! Putting some lithium grease (I use white on mine) on the pedal threads before screwing them in will make life very easy later. If this is your first time putting pedals on, don't forget that the right screws in differently than the left pedal does. They have arrows indicating the direction they should be screwed in and are marked R and L.

By the way,it is a great video. I wished I had had all that information 3 months ago when I started looking around to see what it was required for upgrading. You explain stuff very well. Clear, graphic, reasoned and paying attention to the little details. I love your tutorials. Thanks Gabby!

I had a lot of difficult using the SPD clips. I ended up them off. I have the pedals that have the Toe cages and clip function and I feel like the clip part is harder to use

Cycling shoes and upgraded pedals do make a difference. I agree. I started using them 2 months ago and riding is so much better and easier! What I don't know is what I am doing wrong. I use spd cleats and the one on the right shoe goes completely out of place after each ride. I took the shoes back and I got a new pair plus new cleats. Everything completely brand new for yesterday's ride. When I removed my shoes ...same old again: cleat had moved out of place and internal plaque was dislodged. I can't think of any logical explanation and I don't know how to solve the problem!

I use spd cleats & just bought some new ones that fit better, but I still get the numbness in the toes. What am I doing wrong?
