Congrats on the new development toy, excited to see what else you do with it! We have owned 2 992 T development cars (one manual, one PDK) and they have been a blast.
New '24 T owner. Very interested to watch this series. Will wait to do a tune until after warranty expires or I'm convinced 100% that a tune will not affect warranty coverage. But it's encouraging to know how modular the 992 is.
Car sounds really raspy when you do the launch. I'm surpised. Question, why did you do AP vs MEnginering? I'm excited to see E85 results. We have great E85 here so I'll want to run it ASAP
With the AP we have the ability to custom tune which is our specialty. This way we can cater to each individual car and owner with bespoke calibrations.
Amazing. Great video. I have a 992 T as well and love it. Do you think it takes away anything from the car at all in terms of the balance of the car w/ the tune? Also, do you think the car's lifespan will remain the same?
I don’t feel that this does - keep in mind Porsche themselves have more powerful versions of this car in the S and GTS trims. It only enhances the experience of an already great package.
@@stratifiedauto Just picked up an accessport and wondering what your custom tuning philosophy might be. I suppose it would be an e-tune. Haven't seen anyone use the Cobb unit to alter exhaust valve position and other PIWIS functions related to engine performance (with respect to CARB regulations of course).
I understand that Porsche, depending on area, may or may not have an isdue with an aftermarket tune. Anymore, for all car companies irs an eay out. Recently while at my dealer getting my windshield replaced, I asked about a tune for my 21 4s. Service guy quoted me a 3k price for an 80hp almost 100/ftlb torque tune, from Porsche that obviously DID NOT void my warranty. My question is...does Porsche just use a proven "box" tune and charge a premium for install. As a lot of their upgrades, from what ive heard in forums, are already programmed in the cars, and just need to be "unlocked" for a nominal fee of course. 😂 new to Porsche...only owned a 981 boxster for 2 months previous before buying the 911. Anyone heard of such things before? TIA. 🤙🏼
There is nothing in the stock calibration that is unlocked with a switch. You need to make the correct changes to numerous tables. So they are using someone’s tuning software. We have been calibrating these cars and many others for many years and we are the builders of the calibrations. So you get something catered to you and your car and someone you can discuss all this with when it comes to our tunes.
@stratifiedauto ok, that would address something preprogrammed, but porsche obviously knows how to tune a car. So it is possible they have tunes worked up to sell customers, correct? Not trying to be an a-hole here, I'm trying to cover my bases, because I'm pretty sure, for my warranty, I'll have to use the "porsche " tune, and I want to be able to call them on bs, and if it's from a "box" then I should be able to go to any reputable company and STILL have my warranty in tact. You follow? I believe I, we, your audience here, can trust a guy that puts his info, or majority of, on display for us to see, as opposed to a multi billion dollar company that charges 650.00 to change seat belt color. 😉 👍🏼
Porsche sells you the car as they advertise. If you like to customize the calibration further than this, install different parts, extract more power from the same car, Porsche is not going to facilitate these things. It’s not necessary to go beyond what Porsche has done but it certainly is enjoyable. And after all, this is all about enjoying YOUR car.
@@stratifiedauto I gotcha. 👍🏼 after talking to a few guys yesterday on a pca run, they said the same thing. Box tunes, with an upcharge and allow you to keep your warranty in tact. Those dirty b******ds! 🤬

I have a T coming in September. I will be glued to this series! Thank you for making this!

Good stuff! Congrats on the new toy.

Awesome Alex. Cant wait for this platform to be tuned and mod'ed

Great stuff, I can see you’re having fun!
I’m still loving your Dyno tune on my 2012 911 Turbo
Awesome Dean glad to hear it! Your 997.2 is an awesome example!
Excellent video. Very easy to follow. Inspires confidence in the product.

They are an excellent platform to modify and build upon.
I assume dealer would see tune if they plugged into ecu. Wouldn't that void engine warranty?
@@titob5020 that’s why I’d wait until warranty is over. Why jeopardize it for some horsepower?

@@stratifiedauto Amazing. I'm going to pull the trigger and get a stage 1 tune this week on my 992 T.
Great video! Do you by chance know how much power the pdk in both the base and T can handle?
They will handle over 600whp.
@stratifiedauto that is great to hear, I appreciate the info! I've owned and worked on M cars for the last 15 years but hoping to join team P soon 🙏

What about Porsche approved with this build? Will it get void?
Porsche is generally quite friendly with the aftermarket.
@stratifiedauto is it better to let them know before an appointement or just hope they don't notice it?
When is the next video in the series?
Any plans for suspension?
Some gt3 control arms up front will allow for additional camber for track use. It’s a good place to start.
