Im rewatching from the start just for the reminders, and it just keeps getting better and better with every rewatch of the trailer. You can tell that Oda signed off on so much of this adaptation. Im so excited for August to come. Probably not good for all the sleepless nights to get back to where i was in my watch through though.

I think the trailer did a great job of showing enough stuff for us fans of the series to get excited but not so much to give things away because I've got a friend who hasn't read OP who has seen the trailer and its got her excited to watch it but she couldn't like. Guess anything big from it. Like we did talk about Zoro's lines of dedicating himself to Luffy but she doesn't have the context for them and im excited for her to get that context I also showed the trailer to my parents and they wouldn't be able to guess anything big from it either.

People unfamiliar with OP won't know what the hat means to Luffy let alone have any idea what him passing it to Nami could mean. Nor that the man with the huge sword is a Warlord of the Sea or so on. quick correction actually, sanji was fighting kuroobi in that scene! chu is the other fishman with the big lips (easy way to remember is that it looks like he's making the kissing face, and chu is a japanese onomatopoeia for the sound a kiss makes)

By the looks of it, it seems like one of the most faithful adaptations I've seen and I love it! Also, there will be easter eggs that they put from the future arcs and hunting it will be fun.
I was skeptical when I first heard about the adaptation but from what we’ve seen it looks like visually it’s gonna be really well done. Now my biggest concern is about how much they condense the story since from what we know so far it’s gonna go all the way through Arlong park in just 8 episodes which just doesn’t seem like enough time to build up everything to that point but I also understand that it’s not possible to make 1000 episodes of a show that requires this much work so we’ll see how it turns out. Definitely still hyped for it cause now I can get my non anime/manga friends to finally experience One Piece
It will be interesting to see how they handle it, but I read Oda's note after the trailer was released, and since he said there have been no compromises and he's done it exactly the way he wanted, I won't have any complaints. He's putting so much faith in this that I can't help but do the same! And yes! I'll definitely be trying to get my family and friends to watch this for sure!

No way they skip it. I want to see Smokie, Tashigi and more buggy shenanigans lol
Everyone did amazing here, but for me the biggest impact is actually Jacob Gibson as Usopp. When I first saw Usopp in the anime, I thought he was kind of dumb and annoying (I was a teenager back then, so cut me some slack lol). I really only started to appreciate his character as he started developing in Alabasta and then really becoming a fan of his in Water 7. But Gibson brings such a natural charisma to Usopp that makes him immediately likeable and lovable.

One think worries me. I can get behind Ussop normal nose. I can get behind Nami "normal" look. Even Sanji eyebrow but cigarette is a must and it's not the same without it. I hope there is at least a hint that he likes to smoke.
