Anime, although incredibly popular in the west, is still seen as a special foreign export whereas, for Japanese people, it's a huge part of their pop culture in the same way that famous cartoons like The Simpsons or Spongebob is in western countries. Gal Gadot is not nearly expressive enough as an actress to match Robin's wide range of emotions she displays, from mysterious to tragic to endearing and passionate. I think Gal Gadot is a bad actress, but she has done pretty good as Wonder Woman but even then that's not enough
