I have to disagree with you on the Long Ring Long Land arc. It's a good and enjoyable arc. Foxy and his pirates are despicable villains, and the Strawhats showed good chemistry and teamwork. Aokiji's arrival is a plus. It should at least be a C or a D. Aside from that, this is the best One Piece ranking that I have seen.
I have a bias to orange town because it was the first arc that made me realize the series was gonna be deeper than a goofy pirate series with Chouchou’s backstory. I also love syrup village (Usopp’s my second favorite strawhat behind Nami), skypiea and thriller bark so I might just be weird since all those arcs seem to be universally unpopular
I think you are right on with most of your grades. I also agree many are unfair to Skypia. That is actually where I started my One Piece journey because I caught the new episodes on Cartoon Network a couple weekends in a row.
*Careful viewers, spoiler for Egghead* I didn't care much for Caribou, but him possibly being Blackbeard's Bartolomeo and the role he's playing for him felt so satisfying. It was weird because I never saw him as a leader, but he tiptoed around actual leaders without pledging to anyone nor showing a real goal (just sucking up so he could survive and stumbling into intel goldmines), that felt out of place until we see him looking up to Teach.
It took a while but I noticed the major flaw of Long Ring Long Island in the manga (the anime version isn't worth any discussion): It's the only arc in the entire series that is not really written for the reader but for a straw hat. If you ask Robin she would easily give the entire arc an S.
Post-war arc is special to me because it is the only arc to make me cry... And believe it or not, you review for Post-war arc elevated it for me and shed new light on Luffy's character for me. You can't imagine how happy I am to see you rank it "S Tier".
Agree with most. A few plus or minus a grade. Just found syrup village so slow and drained the fun so I would make that my only other F Enjoyed your thoughts
Its weird because Usopp in early One Piece was too normal for people. With how fantastical the world is we get a liar with a slingshot. The weird thing is how much ppl think Skypeia is too fantasy like for their taste that it takes them out of the world despite still being in it.
I loved him for being a regular person yet being brave enough to still enter that fantastical world. Him being scared makes so much sense and I love that about his character. And yeah, I don't understand how people think Skypiea is too much fantasy because it ties the world together and builds it up.
I don't think that's why people dislike him, Nami didn't have any special powers at the beginning either and I liked having the "normal" people on the crew reacting to the monster trio's antics. Personally Usopp just irritated me with his constant boasting and taking credit for stuff that he didn't help with at all. Not that I hated him or anything, but he was by far my least favorite crew member until after Enies Lobby. I think what really made the difference was that he stopped calling himself the captain and started giving Luffy a little more respect.
Ranked these a little differently this time! I hope you enjoyed the rankings!

Yeah, Skypiea is just AMAZING to me. I love it so much!

I can understand that about Syrup Village 😊
Appreciating Syrup village and Skypeia?? Based list!

No love for LRLL?! You’re entitled to your opinion. But Reverie over Fishman Island, LRLL at F. Wano at A?! I’m sorry… I cannot.
Yep. Long Ring Long Land arc is criminally hated by the One Piece community. It's a good, underrated arc.
