Hey guys, I will be doing a TH-cam Live tomorrow at 5pm UK time so please dont forget to subscribe and press the bell button so you will get a notification when I am going live! See you there!
A friend turned me on to your channel about 4 years ago, and I'm so glad I took her recommendation! I live on a boat and since I found your channel, I always stock up on lots of Indian spices before we go voyaging, and our food is much more interesting. As much as I like your videos that are more professionally produced and edited, this one really makes me feel like I'm in the kitchen with you. We get to see a bit more of your personality and humor,, but the same great, easy-to-follow instructions. It feels very authentic. Thanks. -E
Dear Chetna..I stumbled on to your channel last week..dal fry recipe..tried it out and even my 93 year old mom loved it. At 65..I do have some recipes under my belt.. but everytime I come to India(from malaysia) I know there's so much more to learn. Yours gives a new flavour to the old favourites..so doable with what is already available in the pantry.. and new dishes that I'm not very familiar with cooking but order at the North Indian restaurants here. Thank you and God bless.
As I stay at home dad,it channels like yourself that have helped me along my journey in becoming a better home cook,I have moved away from jars etc and now make all sorts of thing from scratch with fresh ingredients..thank you.
Dear Chetna you are spoiling us, I love your recipes home cooking is the best thing, all thanks to you I find it very therapeutic there is only so much cleaning one can do. My son's thank You, They are now better cooks than their wife's and that's one I'm staying out of haha, Thankyou stay safe x xx
Hi Chetna, ummm, for me this has been your best curry recipe. I will definitely give this one a try as I have all the spices. Thank you so much for putting a smile on my face and in my heart. God bless.
I know it's a little crazy, but I have missed seeing you since the baking program. It is wonderful to see your lovely home and watch you sharing your favorite dishes!
Hi you and your videos are amazing thank you so much. Could you explain the Chili you are using is it kashmiri Chili or something similar. For years I always used chili powder that you can get anywhere in Canada that is mostly used for Mexican dishes. I always thought that’s what was meant. Laugh please I laugh when I think about it. So what is it you use when you say “chili powder or ground chili? Everybody be healthy happy and safe!
You can use any chilli powder you like. It could be mild or hot depending on the heat you want in your food. Try and avoid the pepper powder but any chilli powder will work.
this is my 1st attempt, cooking it now. i didn,t have tomatoes so used canned tomatoes, chicken breat cut up, no thigh,s, it smells really good. thank you
I subscribed to your channel quite some time ago and love watching your videos. Tonight I finally had a chance to make this recipe. My husband and I love it! Thank you for sharing your recipes! I can't wait to try more!
I finally mastered my south Indian chicken curry from my friends from India excellent no tomatoes seen in the curry used coconut ground flakes cashews grinded and yogurt coriander ghee curry leaves and many spices ginger garlic cinnamon sticks hot peppersfinally I don't drive an hour away to buy at the Indian restaurant. When I finally learned all steps to enjoy a beautiful curry.
Hi chetna. What is approximate weight of chicken thighs as if quantity is less i would need to adjust ingredients right? Sorry, am just starting to learn to cook. Tq
Chetna. I’ve just discovered your channel and I made your butter chicken recipe tonight and everyone loved it. I usually avoid chicken because I’m usually disappointed with the texture once cooked. Marinading the chicken and cooking it for a short time in the oven was a new discovery that will guarantee success every time. Thank you
Just made it. I have lots of ingredients still followed exactly your way, lol. I blindly believe your recipes now. I have already tried many. And all are, including this, delicious. Stay safe 🌼
I'm so happy to have found you. I enjoyed your presence on the Great British Baking show. Can you make a survival pantry video, for health, to get through the Covid period. Essentials to have.
I have tried most of your chicken curry recipes and they all are delicious, I shall definitely give this one a go. Maybe I could add some natural yogurt or fresh cream at the end. What do you think ?
Dear Chetna I want to send you a BIG THANKYOU from my family and myself, we are all watching your videos every day. We can't see each other in person due to this horrific virus, but you have brought us together threw cooking, my son's didn't believe we could do this xx I have a new first grandson who I haven't got to hold yet, but this message is about You. You are a wonderful lady God Bless stay safe and Thank you so much for all your hard work and help I can't Thank you enough sincerely Anna Frame x😍😍
Hi Chetna! I really like your videos. I wanted to ask why it is important to use cumin seeds ? can i add cumin spises instesd or it doesn't have the same effect? Thank you :)
I made this tonight, kind of the same principles with your potato spinach curry from the other night, so I found this more easy to follow. THIS WAS AMAZING ... thank you Chetna .... I love your recipes
I make chicken curry for the little ones at the preschool where I am cook. They love it! I serve it over basamiti rice with naan bread on the side and fresh fruit. Such amazing flavors!
Hello Chetna, my name is dorcas and I like your cooking very much and I have always wanted to learn how to make naan bread please can you list the ingredients down if possible
Hi Chetna I made some of your amazing red lentil and chickpea soup with naan, It was to die for so delicious!!!! I doubled the recipe for naan and I was in the kitchen for hours LOL 😍 thanks see you tomorrow
Chetna. Thanks. I often freeze fresh coriander and it's great to just snip it with scissors. Delighted I have two packs I froze the other day. Also I have two bags of TVP. It's not the greatest thing but I can make Bolognese, chilli etc. Have a great day! 🙏☺
Chicken curry is my absolute favorite and I cannot wait to give this recipe a go. Do you have any plans to write a book on just cooking Indian curries? This looks so good and thanks so much for showing us all how easy it is make chicken curry. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Interesting Chetna. I'm glad you used all the basic stuff as that is all I have in my cupboards. I have two questions if you don't mind.1. I love cardamom but I've never seen you use it, when would you use it? 2. You mention whole spices, it would be interesting to see this basic recipe done side by side using whole spices then get the whole family to see if there is a much of a difference and which they prefer. I'll keep watching as I think you are doing a great job. Smiley Face.
did not have cumin seeds but do have cumin pwd. I live in Canada, we are still under stay at home unless it is essential orders. So I am using what i have.
Have watched many of your videos and cooked a dozen or so, it is clear to me you use a some rules of thumb. Eg. I would for you to make a video about these rules of thumb. I am loving this series.
I preferred your last chicken curry recipe. That was mind-blowing. I made that the same day, using diced chicken breast. I know thighs taste more chikeney, (Is that a word?) but breast was in the fridge. This recipe looks too thin and watery like soup. I think rice would float around in it.
We are really lucky here in Watford, we have a great butcher that is always well stocked with quality products. This curry certainly looks good, look forward to trying it with the naan bread. Made a roasted butternut squash fried rice for dinner tonight, superb.
Hi Chetna. New subscriber here. This chicken curry looks amazing, and nothing difficult either. Will definitely be trying this recipe. Looks like I have lots of recipes to catch up with too. Regards x
I am like u but in US .I do everything with hand , but now I am homeschooling….thinking of food processor but confused which to buy don’t want very expensive but then when I see experts like u using chopping board thinking is it worth buyin*

Go chetna ....
Can't wait x Thankyou
How fabulous!! Can't wait!
Do we get the ingredients before hand so we can make with you 😀
I'm in the US and would like to know what you mean by chili powder. Our "chili powder" is a mix of spices. Is it just ground chilis?
A friend turned me on to your channel about 4 years ago, and I'm so glad I took her recommendation! I live on a boat and since I found your channel, I always stock up on lots of Indian spices before we go voyaging, and our food is much more interesting.

In some of Chetna's earlier vids, she does specify Kashmir chili, but I have to be careful 'cause I'm such a chili woos! Needs to be very mild.
BO KJ Ward -Wow thanks for letting me know!😀 Be healthy, be happy, be safe.
This looks soooo good! Can’t wait to give it a go. Just out of curiosity, I wonder what other spices you would have added?
this is my 1st attempt, cooking it now. i didn,t have tomatoes so used canned tomatoes, chicken breat cut up, no thigh,s, it smells really good. thank you
I made this ... so simple AND delicious! just curious, what brand is the pan you use to make this?
