I love Tears For Fears - and Roland Orzabal - soo, so much. Was completely obsessed at one time. Roland's voice is one of my all-time favorites. Watched a documentary about a tour of theirs, and damned, he can belt - did an impressive opera style bassoon roar of a voice in a warmup. :)

Hands down m favorite Tears For Fears song. Loved it from the day I first heard it way back in 1985 and love it still just as much to this day. Epic, beautiful, perfectly crafted pop masterpiece. I especially love the portion in the video when Roland sings the “Four Leaf Clover” line and holds his hand up showing 4 fingers. God, I loved the 80s British groups and artists when I was a college student during that time here in the US and was so impacted and at times overwhelmed with the amount of new sounding, fresh, exciting new sounds which came over from the UK during that second British Invasion of the 80s. Still listening to it today and with just as much joy. Harri, not sure which other Tears For Fears songs you’ve previously reacted to, but, there were 2 other smash hits from the album this song came from, “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” and “Shout” which are spectacular pieces of pop heaven if you have not reacted to either yet. And their album prior to “Songs From The Big Chair” entitled “The Hurting” has some awesome songs which are more early new wave synthpop sounding but no less impressive in my opinion. “Change”, “Pale Shelter” and my fave “Mad World” would be worth your time. One last suggestion, “Temptation” by Heaven 17. That song was not a hit here in the US but I happened to hear it here in the states on the college radio station I used to listen to and it blew me away and still does to this day. It was a big hit in the UK so you may be familiar with it already. Thanks!
