Savor Salvage Scent recommended this video and I'm so glad I clicked on it. Thank you so much for this interview, I found it fascinating. My opinion on the house remains as such: Marilyn Monroe may have worn Chanel No. 5 to bed, but that was only because 'Milky Musk 39' was no yet available as her ultimate bedfellow. What a sensational cocoon of a fragrance. I just feel like I'm in a 5 star hotel, wrapped up in expensive linen sheets and sinking into a mound of silky marshmallowy pillows watching confusing yet delightful foreign television shows and just thinking to myself, 'tomorrow I can explore an exciting new city, I'm on holiday and don't have to go to work tomorrow...I might even eat a cake right now at 11pm, why not!'. It's THAT feeling I get from the fragrance. Clean sheets, gorrrrrgeous sandalwood milkiness. Parle Moi deserve every bit of success. I've heard their in-person customer service is second to none. Gorgeous fragrances and a intensely fascinating creative director. Thanks again for conducting such an illuminating interview, much appreciated. I will continue to financially support the brand and be a vocal and enthusiastic proponent also.

Wow. Benjamin is so candid & transparent. Love his directness... The idea that marketing a product does not have to involve bullsh""t. Such a refreshing approach from a pragmatist who favoured concrete above conceptual grasping.

Gosh this approach and person/interview are refreshing. I had the pleasure of experiencing one of the boutiques during a recent visit to Paris. It was a highlight of my trip, and as a fellow perfume collector + youtuber, it stood out as so special and impressive. The woman who was managing the shop really led me through and immersed me in the line/scents, some of the raw materials, etc. It felt so authentic and special but not pandering. I purchased two scents (Gardens of India + Guimauve de Noel) I’m crazy about and can’t wait to spend more time w/ the whole line. The transparency + honesty quest is so attractive as the industry (and I fear the arts in general) seems to be driven more and more by the super young, super beautiful, and sometimes the super inexperienced-I am not an ageist and none of these things are bad I their own but I do yearn for more fact, authenticity + diversity.

Haha! Hello stranger. Your comment deserves way more thumbs up. As usual. Guimauve de Noel is always sold out every time I look for it in London. This house makes such excellent fragrances. Understated powerhouses, both incredibly easy to wear yet exciting and full of character at the same time. That's real mastery of your craft right there, not to mention an intuitive, inborn flair and terrific sense of judgement. You were right to recommend this interview to me. I made a cup of coffee for it and found it fascinating. Whenever someone is open and honest and willing to say controversial or easy to misunderstand things they immediately have my respect and full attention. So much generic, anodyne self-censoring and fear of the the mob these days. I want nuance and candid exchange with real characters, y'know? People are terrified of offending people and so become hideously beige. That's an appalling kind of armour, isn't it? A beige waterfall cardigan worn as a protective garment ;D

Mise en scene, your shirt & background, very pleasing. Just took notes on the Parle Moi de Parfum discovery set review. Loved the "eyes met & he knew that you knew" moment (father of Benjamin) re his basis of the 2 masculine scents he had previously created for Bentley & ???.

A frivolous observation... Every facet of your printed shirt suits you, sir, and the colours of the room from where you are presenting.
    Is it a Liberty print?

If memory serves, no, that one isn’t a Liberty print. But I guess it’s clearly inspired by one.

I absolutely loved this interview! I'm just such a fan of Benjamin's perspectives, (really all the Almairacs express brilliance). Such provocative ideas shared, and I love your "games" with the subject - brilliant way to break ice and make the audience feel casually acquainted with the interviewee.
