- There are less perfumers in the world than astronauts and Uwe Herrich is one of those perfumers. His perfumery in the city of Dresden in eastern Germany looks like a medieval alchemy laboratory. Here he creates unique perfumes from fragrances extracted from organic materials - and even supplies European nobility with an air of elegance.

Casually watching this video, then typing his name in google since he is from dresden, germany just to find out that his store is literally 3 minutes away from me. The world is so small...
Bruh, lucky for you
Did you visit his shop?
How do I reach him?
U have like over 1000 Euros to spend?
What’s his name ? I can’t spell German lol
So German language can be pleasing to the ear after all. 😌 He is so soft spoken.
I agree with you. It's a beautiful sounding language, but unfortunately sometimes all we get to hear are movies related to world war 2 and this is so misleading.
“. . . a good fragrance should reflect your personality.” - Uwe Herrich
🥰
It’s amazing how he puts a lot of love into his perfumes.
Or It’a all a show. So many ppl are easily fooled
Hi guys, I'm Vitor, i'm a perfumer apprentice in Brazil. This video is fasntastic, amazing. One day I'm gonna be a perfumer.
Ok
Did you make it?
I went to his store yesterday and bought two perfumes. Sooo mesmerized!!!
Yet you didn't get one for your boyfriend 🙄
I was your review on his store 😁
Are they expensive?
You can always tell when someone loves what they do haha, he’s amazing
It would be nice if we could purchase some of these scents in the USA. The website is so limited.
Awesome. I need to learn these distillation techniques
I absolutely love perfume. This was a wonderful piece. I would love to have this experience.❤❤❤
He is so elegant with his craft 🥰
Thought it'd be cool to go to one of those perfumer schools in France and become a perfumer
Delighted to found him on TH-cam. As a perfumer his way of creating perfume resembles the way I do. I am from North East India where the best Agar (Oud) grows.
I want to go to this shop
I wanna know about his perfume that increases focus!😅
All pro perfume makers buy that one from him...hoping they'll get enough focus to be able to duplicate it.
This is a real perfumer! Not these new age fake perfumers on TH-cam like Aron 😂
OMG so true! He uses essential oils to make fragrances. Nasty!! 🤢🤮
What liquid is used to soak pan flowers/barks to make perfume?
More often than not ethyl alcohol. You can extract fragrance through distillation, pyrolysis or letting it steep in fat (enfleurage)...
It literally says it in the video.
For Enfleurage animal fats are used such as beef tallow or pig lard, however sometimes vegetable fats such as olive or jojoba are used but not to the same effect.
For tincturing ethanol is used but it must be of an incredibly high concentration 95%(200 proof) is a very commonly used option.
Toller Mensch und aus Sachsen🥰
You have a wonderful video
I have 16kg of Ambergris, how do I sell it
I want to visit Dresden I hear it is a lovely city
Covid-19 ?
Is nothing
One of the most beautiful old towns in Germany and only 2h away from Prague. It's definitely worth to come here.
So interesting!
yes, yes... elegant, I would say it's more elegant than the first one, no?
How can I learn more about him
Internet
Which are your top 5 fragrances you like and which are the most complicated?
Nice
Ein echter Grenouille
By the sound of it, yes...but hopefully without all the hair and clothing lying around 😅. On a second thought it must be a torture to know the world by its smell...you can close your eyes against bad but can you do the same with your nose?
there are millions of ingredients, i wonder how a perfumers decides wich ones he will keep in the collection for the future...
where is his shop in dresden ?
Warthaer Str. 5 in Dresden- or simply follow your nose...👃🏼
Did he pour water or alcohol in distillation tank?
alcohol- i dont know whether a alcohol free solvent such as water or dpg could woek better- with water comes the issue of preservation. im gonna try di propylene glycol
The worlds greatest salesperson

👀Where do we learn?!?👀
Ahh the finer things in life. I love exquisitenessness . Damn to being a mere poor peasant still
he is either over hyped or was the apprentice of someone very good. cause you dont learn that in university. Making the perfume might not be hardest part but selling a couple of thousand euros perfume.
You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. Not only marketing creates price points. Especially when we talk about true niche here. Just Google how much few grams of pure rose absolute or orris concrete cost.
you know, its not unbelievable for someone like this to be self taught. Passion and perseverance go a long way
English came from German . I bet y’all didn’t know that
Who cares?
I am probably the only person in the world who can't stand the sickening sweet smell of vanilla.
I love it
He’s NOT one of the last perfumers by any means.
And frankly I don’t see anything special about his work when he’s just doing simple distillation and tincturing.
lmao. There are loads of perfumers.
Lol
Not as many as you think, clearly.
Herrish 😂😂🤣🤣
Yes, I appreciate that there are very few Perfumers, but it's not like we're dead.
Am from indonesia, am so love world of perfumery. But am newbe in perfumery. Can some good people teach me
Check out basenotes DIY section. They have some knowledgeable amateurs and established professionals as well giving advice and sharing their knowledge.

Hello everyone, I'm from Vietnam. I am currently looking for a direct OEM perfume manufacturer in France,ITALY under a private label, but it has been challenging in my search. I hope to receive assistance from anyone who knows reputable factories. Thank you.
Contact Givaudan, Firmenich, Luzi, and some other aroma chemical producing companies. They do OEM. They have representative offices in Hcm city

Dude looks like a snake oil salesman. No way you’re distilling enough oil or maintaining any repeatability gathering and distilling/macerating the way he showed, or in the tiny space he showed. This guy is just putting on a big show and then probably just using a ton of aroma chemicals in the back room.
Lol....ummm ok
