As an enthusiast and not a collector per say and with limited funds at times ‘ a lot of the fragrances you present’ I just enjoy vicariously . You are so passionate and descriptive and honest ‘ it’s pleasure enough just to watch and know that I will probably never own or even smell them and it’s ok .

happy holidays ! i’m still in paris, and did not have a chance to watch these last 2 episodes live. some thoughts that came up through the course of the video : i’ve also only recently read through victoria’s (bois de jasmin) year-end round-up, and niral is also on her list but i’ve not managed to test this range. i have made some lovely discoveries in paris however, with maison crivelli being the most interesting so far. i got a bottle of santal volcanique by richard ibanez, and a sample of fleur diamantine by bertrand duchaufour. unfortunately their coffret of all 4 fragrances are only available online which remains to be launched. the other interesting discovery was essential parfums with a much wider range, and i got a 10ml version of thé musc by calice becker. both these brands have that modern twist of contrasting elements which you addressed in this video : cool yet warm, woody yet minerally/ metallic.. it was so fun to try them. other scents i bought were not new : dent de lait by serge lutens and poudre de riz by pierre guillaume (parfumerie générale). i can’t wait to wear everything once i’m back ! i’ll also try wearing agar ébène again - it may be a better time now that the weather is cooler. happy new year and see you in 2019 !

Angeline Giselle Ng Hope you’re enjoying Paris! Thanks for all those lists and descriptions. There are a few names in there I’m not familiar with. And thanks so much for watching 😊

I haven’t been privileged to smell the first few perfumes you mention. My best of list for 2018 ( not necessarily released 18) includes Dryad, Mendittorosa Le Mat, Yes Imitation, Zoologist Civet, Paris-Venise, Sarah Baker Tartan, and Lubin Kismet ( new to me), Mona Di Orio Vanille, April aromatics Irisistible and somewhat ashamedly Tom Ford Lost Cherry.. For me it was the most fabulous perfume year exploring a kind of ‘bucket list’.
Thanks for your wonderful inspiration through last year as well.

Liz Seville Liz, thank YOU for watching and taking the time to write. You know what: I was quite taken with Lost Cherry too, but I only had a fleeting sniff and was never able to return to it. I’ll have to seek it out again soon.

I've only just managed to watch this lovely episode. Thank you. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I now have several of your best noted for my next trip to London and now I can't wait. And a little story.....I was very fortunate to meet Neela Vermeire at Esxence in Milan last year. I liked her immediately. She has a gorgeous attractive warm personality and she was generous with her time. She kindly gave me a sample of Niral. It's very beautiful. I have and love Ashoka and I would love some of the others, Niral included. We met Andy Tauer and Mark Buxton too!

Andy Tauer is lovely and Mark Buxton is a hoot. There were others too. They stand out amongst all that grandiosity and hauteur. 😉

I didn’t get to try too many new things this year however , CC and Amouage worked magic with Imitation Man and Woman . 2 of my favourite 3 from 2018 ❤️

IMO the original Déclaration EdT by J. C. Elena is superior to the EdP flanker. I find it is a truly unique and enigmatic. It's watery and light but never boring or bland.

Yes, I'd say I prefer the original too.
      Thanks for watching :-)

Dear Mr. Persolaise, I would like to ask you if you could tell me where your bottle of Imitation man is produced-UK, or Oman?Thank you!

I’d have to check... but you know, personally, I don’t think there’s any truth to the whole UK vs Oman thing. 😊

Oo, you have an answer to my real question, thank you! You are such a great person! What about a top 10 Amouage?

The shirts not doing it for me I'm afraid fella, the last three are more to my taste, too many sparkles for a man of you're age...only joking. So you like the Cartier? dear Lord No, I think the BO note is rather off putting which spoiled it for me. Anyway, I was in Abu Dhabi recently and I got to smell the new Amouage, the one in the Blue bottle, can't remember it's name but it's bloody good. When you get the chance, get your nose on it fella, well, that's if you haven't already.

Dylan 😂 I think the older you get, the more sparkles you need 😉 I wonder if the Amouage you mean is Opus XI. If so, I covered it in the previous episode, and yes, I love it too.
      Thanks very much for watching.
