True that the Maus gains a lot by the speed increase, but don't forget that this matchup was extremely favorable. Not only was it the best matchup with tier 8s, none of the enemy players apart from the E50 really spammed gold. In a pure tier X matchup where almost everyone spams gold, QB would have been dead after 5 secs after rushing in. The turret is useless against gold rounds, even against some of the tier 8s (tier 8 TDs can have around 300 pen with gold rounds, and that is more than enough to go through the Maus turret). I can already imagine WG nerfing field mods for this, where 2nd equipment slot will be fire power and scouting, and the 7th +2km/h mod be changed to reverse. Best tier is 6 imo.
Maus has 260mm turret cheek armor. Bad lower plate. If you get onto the dream matchup like this speed doesnt matter. Put a Kran, Chief, 279e, or other meta tanks like the Concept in the enemy team and it will be gg VERY fast. So no, the fieldmods are not OP on the Maus imo…
realistically, the maus technically shouldnt be able to go faster than it is since the maus is propelled by an electric drivetrain and not its engine, the engine is used as an electric generator that is powering the drivetrain. But then WoT is an arcade game so I dont really expect it to follow that much realism.

Happy birthday, QB ! The Maus has been one of my favourite tier 10 for the longest time and although I do think the Maus is too powerful these days with additional speed and hit points (not so long ago, they buffed its hp before nerfing them again, before bringing it up again with field mods...), as an average player I feel like it's still underwhelming when compared with so many new high-alpha-dmg-shooting-gold-tanks without a single weak spots, especially when I'm a miser that refuse to shoot gold ammo by pure stubbornness.
4:16 I have just about 40ms ping and recently my shots have been going absolutely everywhere. Sometimes i hit shots i really misaim, sometimes my shell goes right through the enemy. Now more than ever. And not only that, it is getting a lot worse nowadays.
I have Bond Turbo, grousers in the additional mobility slot, and Bond Vents for better ground resistance, the +2 kmh from field mod, 105 octane gas and chocolate, along with everything my crew can have to boost mobility, plus clutch braking improvement directive.
Even though I've taken a break from WoT's, it's always good to see your videos daily, either you best moments montage or videos like this with our beloved Maus. Frankly recently I've played the Maus on War Thunder with the new updated sounds and boy...either on World of Tanks or on War Thunder, the Maus will always be a beauty, look wise and sound wise!
I stopped playing last year after I'd had a run of ridiculous RNG situations (seemingly always when shooting Russian tanks, i.e., 145mm of British pen wasn't enough to punch through 15mm of Soviet side armor on three consecutive point blank shots) and it looks like I got out at the right time -- the HE nerf, continued buffing of the Russian tank tree, EBRs, proposed Crew 2.0, the endlessly convoluted "re-balancing" tweaks, the disappearing bond equipment, all combine to squash any regrets I might have had about walking away from a game I enjoyed for over 6 years.

The problem is HEAT rounds from Tier X Tank Destroyers shooting the cheeks of the turret. Even when angled correctly. 395mm to 420mm HEAT pen goes through it.
I love this tank, currently grinding it, but as a free to play, and how the economy in tier X is, i don't have the credits to consistently play it, but i would love to see it in my garage
I said it back when WG announced equipment 2.0 that it was a bad idea. Sure it would make tanks more flexible, but when someone goes crazy with min-maxing tanks, it would just bring more unbalance to the game and here we see it. Same with the EBR 105 with 70% camo while moving.

I have an E100 set up mostly like that, I don’t have the higher end field mods, but it’s still so much better with the hardening and a turbo and upgraded bounty vents, running the 128mm on it, as with the nerfing of HE, no point in using the slow 150mm with worse regular pen. It’s definitely pretty monstrous, last week had a tier 10 game, I took no hp damage, track knocked off once, only had like 2.4k or so damage. But blocked over 9k, and had over 2k spotting, was a crazy game. My team shot the hell out of them as they focused on me on that side, still don’t know how no one penned.
Great video and Happy Late Birthday. Really liked your video and I agree with you about the micro adjustment but on the other hand it's fun to to surprise someone when they come face to face with a Mouse....
I truly feel so sorry for the T110E3. If I was him, I would have just spammed my 'Esc' key and click on 'Back to Garage' rather than see a slow and abusive death.
Worst bit about field mods is that tier 10 tanks get 2 extra mods than tier 8 tanks. So when playing tier 8 and your in bad mm with tier 10 now there is even more disparity between you and them.
Going faster is cute but the difference between this game and a normal Maus game is in the hitlog. Normally its just HEAT pen, AP bounce, HEAT pen, HEAT pen, APCR pen, HEAT pen. Making the world's largest urinal go faster doesn't stop it being a urinal.
that's literally the two extreme ends of the spectrum. I still have a great time with my Maus against full T10 lineups. You can play around the strengths of just about every tank by not engaging them when they have the upper hand, for example a kran in a hulldown spot. It's only very rarely the case that a 279 is not only in the game but also right in front of you to ruin your day. even then you have a 50/50 to pen with gold if you aim well and RNG is on your side. It really is a fun experience to play the Maus with a mobility + survival setup. I can bully every other T10 in a 1:1 situation, and often get enough time for a decent result even if they overwhelm me. Yes, bad games due to map, matchup, RNG or goldspam happen, but not more frequently than in any other tank
@@Disappointed_Philosoraptor you are right. I won every 1 to 1 against 279. With gold of course. I dont pen every time but neider do they. And I have much more HP.

@@azgarogly gold rounds don't count anymore, they're all so broken why would you fire anything else right? Try and fight a maus without gold and it's actually still a challenge for most average players
@@dusty1931 Wrong. Gold rounds are there to be applied as needed. There are only handful of tanks in WoT where 100% gold loadout is justified. Even when 3marking the vehicle full gold spamming coul be or could be not reasonable. I hear that whining "WoT is broken, matchmaking is broken, balance is broken, *** is broken" for best part of 8 years now. And still millions of players play the game. Maus is only a problem for "average player" who only knows two buttons, W and LMB and is only able to attack Maus head on. If the player has enough brain to see what is going on in the game (see minimap, that little square in the right lower corner that should be enlarged) and is able to move around the map, Maus is no problem at all. Pretty much any tank in the game outruns it, anyone can flank it. If you have any allies left, surround it and take it to pieces.
@@azgarogly man you got real defensive there, must be a pay to lose player ;) how much you spend a month? I'm sure when you say the "average player" you mean people who don't pull out there wallet right? The game is obviously more than gold rounds silly goose 😂 but the difference between a 47%-50% and a 50+ is because they not only use the gold rounds more frequent but they stack premium equipment, premium consumables, 5+ skill crew, and usually reward or clan wars tanks. If you gate keep the skill then obviously you have the "average player" struggling to stay afloat let alone stay competitive. Just fyi I have payed the troll toll to wot over the years and it is the difference between below and above 50% wins. Is that called skill? I've seen multiple t10 players that obviously don't have a clue how to play just because daddy handed them a credit card, wouldn't it be nice to have full teams of competent players? Instead of 15-3 games.
@@dusty1931 Defensive? Lol. I was rather offensive there :) IDK how much do I spend average per month, as I usually buy prem couple of times a year, plus some comes from xmas boxen. So I got prem account all the time. I have pretty much all the prem tanks that are competitive or have being competitive. Some of them I have bought multiple times, because of BiA crews. So I spend pretty much as much I as I want to. But that is not my point. My point is that Maus is not some awesome beast. Yet another tank that you can flank and kill if you know where move and where to aim. So... meh. Regarding an "average player", 2/3 of the players on the server have win rate under 50%.
I will agree though that all these "micro" advantages do create a huge disparity between a stock maus and one that is completely decked out. a Maus that goes 20 and got 3000 hp cannot hold a candle to one that goes 27 and has 3470 (full field mods). One is a T9 or T9.5 when the other qualifies to be a T10. The Maus simply shows an extreme case of how equipment effect greatly varies from tank to tank and how that creates unfair matches. However, that problem is universal, not limited to the Maus. It's not even the "worst" example. The solution is simply to factor equipment into the mm and match tanks with their equal. Equipment should increase the MM weight by a decimal, adding up to 10.5 for fully decked out tanks with super crews.
Another one of the constamces is that once you hit the 2 Key the game switches to easy mode as long as you have the credits tô keep It going ... And the maus armor becomes irrelevant in this scenarios as well.
I just got to Mauschen, cannot wait to get to Maus and amp it's speed. World of Tanks is World of Grinding. As a WoWs player the WoT grind is insane. But I am in it knee deep, I'll grind.

Agree to disagree... these mods help it get back in a game that is overwhelmed by fast autoloading heavy armored gold spammers. I honestly still dont find it fun to play the Maus anymore when every round shot at me is gold and the slowness of it due to what is suppose to be good armor, means nothing in the game. If you want the modules and upgrades gone, then get rid of gold rounds as well.
Been running the Maus line for awhile BEFORE the current On Track, even the Foch line, as I'm still grinding tanks since coming back during Lockdowns o.0 I luv the VK 100 (and I also play the VK 168), they are quite the beasts when driven correctly.. just tired of weak spot cupolas being a factor, as most uni-type players know where to hit me :( I saw you do this during your stream, and remembers how gleeful and evil you were as you played this match. I found that when I mount the Survival Improvement Suite (which should add +100% internal module durability) and combine it with the Field Mod Lightweight Mounting Points (which adds -30% internal module durability), the effective value is only 40%. This suggests that the -30% modifier is being applied twice. Conversely, if I use the Auxiliary Safety System (which adds +30% internal module durability), the effective value is 160%, indicating that the +30% modifier is applied twice. I have encountered a similar issue with the Heavy Spall Liner. I have already reported this problem twice in previous patches, but there has been no resolution. Could you please test this issue and report it to WG? This bug significantly impacts gameplay.
I feel this replay was really lucky and a good matchup. If I expose my tank like QuickyBaby did here, I get shot and penn'ed easily, and almost everyone shoots gold at me. Especially those pesky medium tanks fire heat from max view range and pen my turret even though it's angled. Almost everyone just aims for my turret and pens. If I don't angle it(Like when I want to shoot someone), they shoot straight at the turret cheeks. If I angle it, they load gold ammo and pen it regardless.

RUSSIAN reach around, or aussie boomerang round. Your pick
I was looking for this comment
I can already imagine WG nerfing field mods for this, where 2nd equipment slot will be fire power and scouting, and the 7th +2km/h mod be changed to reverse.
Best tier is 6 imo.
I love playing at tier 6 and on occasion tier 7
I was there, and as a MAUS lover, I hated it, when QuickBaby denied all chat plea for him to do another match with it.
I don't think pointing out some other imbalances makes this fine.
realistically, the maus technically shouldnt be able to go faster than it is since the maus is propelled by an electric drivetrain and not its engine, the engine is used as an electric generator that is powering the drivetrain.
But then WoT is an arcade game so I dont really expect it to follow that much realism.
Maus: I can go 27km/h now !
Obj. 277: nice, I can go 64 haha
Obj. 260: hold my 69km/h
'Png can be adventagous' Me was behind a rock on steppes with a T-34 (T5) vs an OI woth allys moving in and I lag right into the firing line of the OI and get 1 shot.
QB keeps on asserting that arty is dead despite the fact that the m44 is still terrorising t6 mm
4:16 I have just about 40ms ping and recently my shots have been going absolutely everywhere. Sometimes i hit shots i really misaim, sometimes my shell goes right through the enemy. Now more than ever. And not only that, it is getting a lot worse nowadays.
You got love the 3d skin QB has on the maus
Edit: I'm trying to get the maus
You should do the Type 5 Heavy next when you can with these speed buffs
The Maus is a HP piniata in full Tier X Games. That hasnt Changed.
3:46 server hax!! 5:02 he moves in and all the dudes on that blob simply scatter like cockroaches 🤣
9:28 Yay Quackybaby listened to us and started doing tank reviews/equipment setup reviews without ranked only equipment😄
I love the new belarus mic thank for upgrading the audio quality QB
You know the game is on a decline when QB is relocated to the laundry room.
"Non existing artillery class" They are back already.
I have Bond Turbo, grousers in the additional mobility slot, and Bond Vents for better ground resistance, the +2 kmh from field mod, 105 octane gas and chocolate, along with everything my crew can have to boost mobility, plus clutch braking improvement directive.
When I grow up I dream to be you
Even though I've taken a break from WoT's, it's always good to see your videos daily, either you best moments montage or videos like this with our beloved Maus. Frankly recently I've played the Maus on War Thunder with the new updated sounds and boy...either on World of Tanks or on War Thunder, the Maus will always be a beauty, look wise and sound wise!
5:15 when I do that it seems everyone on the Emmy team auto locks on me and every shit pens my MAUS until I die in 5 seconds.
Me who just pour everything into survivability: My goals are beyond your understanding
I dont understand why there are always people that fell the need to say they left the game and explain the reasons. If you left, why this constant looking back? Because you want back so much...
@@danielstoica3489 I don't understand why there are always people who can't understand why people choose to voice their opinions -- but I guess there are some who really have nothing better to do lol
Oh, and instablocked, so I never see your sad, whiny a** ever again :P
@@heidiwilks5316 looool. Cant I have an opinion? I m free to say what I want as long as you express yourself out there. And I understand why you voice your opinion. I told you why
Wasn't the maus an electric motor driven tank? The motor was just a generator. So a turbocharger wouldn't effect the power of the motor.
that 71k bond and 496k free experience makes me feel envy to this guy.
100% agree w' all of your points. My Tortoise is now a monster for similar reasons. It's nutty. Whilst I find it incredibly fun, it isn't right and it WG should consider things going forward.
That happens when...
RNG loves you.
Almost nobody shots premium against you.
that pen at 3:46 was something else...
Can't wait for the auto loading, double barrel, wheeled Russian Artillery
With also obj 279 e armor
Love your Guide! Never had as much fun in WoT as now.
7:40 The Trump! LUL And the, the, I dont remember who the angel was.
I said it back when WG announced equipment 2.0 that it was a bad idea. Sure it would make tanks more flexible, but when someone goes crazy with min-maxing tanks, it would just bring more unbalance to the game and here we see it. Same with the EBR 105 with 70% camo while moving.
during Desert Storm, if I could have said, fvck it I will ad a turbo charger to my M1A1.... CLAUS KELLERMAN!
Maus with Flakvierling looks absolutely glorious, you can't change my mind.
I love this lol my favorite tank in the game:D I'm a blitz player and it actually has a top speed of 25 km/h on there by default so it actually feels really quick going that fast in such a big tall tank lol
12:18 How far the Comet has fallen - your past "favorite' tank.
The maus is the reason I started playing WoT in the first place and the reason I play it from time to time.
I saw this game on Twitch live as it happened. And I thought wow... What a run.
25....26, THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS MOBILITY
Yaaaay, i’m so happy to see a video on the maus ! Thx man you made my Day:)
QB: plays maus in t8 game
Also QB: maus op
This gentleman put alot of efort în ruining the fun for alot of players with his opinnion about certain tanks.
that is the crazyest push i have seen in a loooong time! really cool!
Not so special. You should have seen me push în front of 5 tier 10 heavyes, including chiftain. While they tryied to kill me, my team eat them alive. And I didnt lost my full HP. Not like qb with tier 8....lame
Given the title, and the skin on the Maus shown I expected the tank to be blazing away with it's multiple guns and charge in---nvm, the only that could make it better is if the other guns were shooting as well.
Also, the Char Futur at 5:08 I can literally hear the "oh shit" as he sees you looking at him
I have an E100 set up mostly like that, I don’t have the higher end field mods, but it’s still so much better with the hardening and a turbo and upgraded bounty vents, running the 128mm on it, as with the nerfing of HE, no point in using the slow 150mm with worse regular pen. It’s definitely pretty monstrous, last week had a tier 10 game, I took no hp damage, track knocked off once, only had like 2.4k or so damage. But blocked over 9k, and had over 2k spotting, was a crazy game. My team shot the hell out of them as they focused on me on that side, still don’t know how no one penned.
thanks again for making such videos, hope WG sees this and understand how much of this game has become bane for free to play players
step a create an imbalance, step two offer a solution that requires a lot of playtime. Step three offer a shortcut, available for money.
Great video and Happy Late Birthday. Really liked your video and I agree with you about the micro adjustment but on the other hand it's fun to to surprise someone when they come face to face with a Mouse....
This isn't what's making the game faster. This is simply a configuration that allows the Maus to get back into the meta.
Give the TOGII* it's ultimate form of being a clubber.
I truly feel so sorry for the T110E3. If I was him, I would have just spammed my 'Esc' key and click on 'Back to Garage' rather than see a slow and abusive death.
Talking about mobility, when I was watching this video, I began to imagine a T110E3 with the mobility of an E 25. I audibly laughed out loud.
Lol qb calling the maus the meatball more like meatloaf 😂
Maybe increasing top speed makes Maus more competitive, but I don't think it will be such invincible in high tier games.
against tier8 it can be a good tank, but if the enemy gets something crazy like the 279 full gold ofc, there is not much you can do with the maus
that's literally the two extreme ends of the spectrum.
After 10 years of playing it feels like we are right back at the beginning with new matchmaking. Back in the day you would meet a maus with t4 tanks like the OG luchs, now you meet it with t8 and still can't do anything about it.
Really? can't do anything about Maus?
Big scary giant Hitlers trash can is quite close to be a 3000 HP of free damage.
Unless you go and ramkill yourself against it or let him push you into a corner. Both are kinda... stupid things to do.
Lol. I was rather offensive there :)
IDK how much do I spend average per month, as I usually buy prem couple of times a year, plus some comes from xmas boxen.
Raus Maus might actually need seatbelts now.
Who is going into a T10 match without equipment?
I mean, its honestly in the same ballpark as that they should make it so stock vehicles don't see +2mm
@@Rankus5150 "stock" meaning base equipment, 1 or 2 skill crew, no prem consumable and no field mods
@@Akrilloth something i completely agree with as well
Another one of the constamces is that once you hit the 2 Key the game switches to easy mode as long as you have the credits tô keep It going ...
Happy Birthday mister QB, I wish you well and that you give us more awsome content, don't you just love when BQ explains everything about the game I mean Ik alot players hate him but mister BQ is an amazing player and youtuber aswell
True man, well said. I think QB lost his mind on this. He sound like a noob.
Been running the Maus line for awhile BEFORE the current On Track, even the Foch line, as I'm still grinding tanks since coming back during Lockdowns o.0 I luv the VK 100 (and I also play the VK 168), they are quite the beasts when driven correctly.. just tired of weak spot cupolas being a factor, as most uni-type players know where to hit me :(
I saw you do this during your stream, and remembers how gleeful and evil you were as you played this match. I laffed when you pushed and the other tanks pulled a Monty Python, and "ran away" lol Thanks for sharing, Will, and again happy b-day to you. Be safe!
Thing is, not matter how grindy or unbalanced WG makes WoT, it's still a winner. There's no competition for it outside of War Thunder.
Ngl you got lucky as all hell in that game, most competent players would have mowed you down when you pushed 8 enemy tanks.
true and apart from the E50 no one really spammed gold. Had QB tried this move in a pure tier X matchup, he would have been dead after 5 seconds.
2:06 .... does that maus have AA on it?
this game was so fun to watch on stream
Playing MAUS with low gravity hits differently
Now that you mention it I think I'm going to go on the test server and see what I can do with the field mods on my 279.
You said yesterday was your birthday? HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
the scariest thing i would probably see is a ramming maus
I feel this replay was really lucky and a good matchup. If I expose my tank like QuickyBaby did here, I get shot and penn'ed easily, and almost everyone shoots gold at me. Especially those pesky medium tanks fire heat from max view range and pen my turret even though it's angled. Almost everyone just aims for my turret and pens. If I don't angle it(Like when I want to shoot someone), they shoot straight at the turret cheeks. If I angle it, they load gold ammo and pen it regardless.
Yes, but a stock object 279 e can go double the speed of a maus at 40 km/h, so what is the real problem here
Basically that mostly no one can get that tank? Lol
@@erickauffmann_official that’s not a excuse for releasing an op tank
It just shows that WG does not only bad playtesting and even after it does not care if the results do not go along their wishes.
