Great video! I will disagree with one thing. IMHO the advanced repair kit is essential. There are few things as annoying as being stuck in a long game with your ammorack all busted up especially in your autoloaders. Love the content!
Tip 1: play with your team, even if your team is bad . A single tank is an easy target . By leaving your teamates, you make your teamates an easy target too. Tip 2: don't play behind. Although you think you are safer when play near your TDs, but your TD is not safe when you let enemies to push forward and spot him. Tip 3: the commandar usually impacts thr begining path. If you running a heavy but game teamtes you lights , then it is because your commandar. Don't follow every path the game gives you at beginning of game . Tip 4: if enemis has two light tank as a team, they will push to your artillery at beginning. Try to blockade the path to your artillery instead going mid. They can't push if they see tge path is heavily protected , so they will return to their team in most cases.
I started with American line to T7, then German line to E-100. Then I went for IS7 and obj 277. I think I'm going to do IS4 next. I always wanted the Auf E 100 td as well, but that's a lot of work and I suck at TD's.
OMG ... I can't believe I've played this long and never knew that I could take off auto-aiming. I can't tell you how annoyed I've been over the years that my tank's aiming recticle is automatically pointing at some object (e.g., a boulder or friendly tank) and I have to take the time to move it all the way to an enemy tank. I've thought about complaining to Wargaming about this but have been too lazy to do so. This is massive for me. You can't be the first to fire and cover when your barrel is mysteriously pointing up to the sky. Thank you for this! I appreciate it. 👊
Don't feel bad. WOTc is one of the worst documented game I've ever played. Easy for a child to jump into battle... But the actual game mechanics are hidden away online, totally outside of the game itself.
@@brianbrian5842 Yeah. I don't know what some of the customizing features entail. If I don't know how it will affect my in game, then I tend to not touch it. I'm going to check to see if there's a way to reduce the sensitivity of the controller when aiming. Not sure if you know how or if it can be done, but I'm going to check. Since turning assisted aiming off, the analog sticks seem seems to be more sensitive to movement.
Great WW tips! Things are of course a little different on the CW side. Spotting and vision require a different approach and the same goes for consumables. I'll reply to my own posts with examples.
When spotting and trying to avoid detection use the advice given about the T34, but on a bigger scale. When unspotted on a ridge, get behind a bush. When choosing to purchase camo use the real ones and not the brightly colored ones. Never, ever, under any circumstances should you put a flag on your tank. It's the leading cause of death for the bush camping FV101.
Avoid using smoke unless you are in a true, back of the map, sniping TD. When used in other classes, it will help your opponent 80% of the time. Rations are still good, but the Hull Patch is better. It easy to add an additional 400+ HP over the course of a battle. I would also recommend a large repair kit on every tank.
Great video with some things I hadn't thought about. One thing I've been curious about is when you are "grinding" a specific tank, how many battles do you play each day? I've had the mindset that once I get the first win bonus then I move on another tank, is that wrong?
That’s a pretty solid mindset if you want to save your sanity and wallet. Think of it as having free premium for the first battle every day. Same mindset I had in 2016; ended up with multiple Tier X of every nation on both platforms by today. It’s just a different form of grind, the long-term & consistent type.
Just started playing WoT this week. I never gave it a chance, as a War Thunder player I always heard bad things. I got tired of the air domination at high tiers in WT, there is literally no point playing as a tank because of helis and drones. I do miss the realism of WT, and amount of vehicles (especially rare/unproduced vehicles) but the fact that WoT is tank only (unlike WT's bold faced lie "Ground Mode") more than makes up for it.
eclipse i have changed all my ww2 tanks and removed the firefighting thingy after i saw and heard all your damn great points for why i should use it, damn all dem perks dont know why ive never thought about it ffs!! but thanks!!! but also I'm wondering whatabout coldwar? i really like the enhance hull patch kit, but i guess its not as good as enhanced rations, or what do you think?
All right eclipse I got one for you, can you explain to me when you're in a match where they'll be somebody up on a berm or a hillside usually in an English tank I've noticed a lot of where you'll see them spot them and as they're engaging another tank they will aim at you for 5 of a second while moving down the hill and hit five shots in a row. I thought when we shot it was RNG? I've also seen a lot of tier 8 tier 9 and tier 10 world war 2 tank light tanks getting 567 successive shots in a row not missing how does that work?
So, let me see if I have this right. Putting 6th sense on first means there's no extra bonus if you put born leader on first? But, all the other skills get the extra 1% bonus? Do I have this right?
Good tip guide for people I've been thinking about swapping around rations on some and fire extinguishers on another it be nice if there was like a number or percentage how likely your gonna catch fire but now with the flamethrowers coming it might be beneficial for the extinguishers, and on a side note still against six sense 😂
Its probably better to have 1/2 of each nation and tank type U wont have same perks as a heavy and a light Altho i have all my tanks with their own commander and i have ~175 tanks
What is considered terrible accuracy? What is considered "good"? That way when I look I know. Teach a man to fish. I play mostly German heavies and soviet heavies. German guns seem awesome on their own.
For the intended distances of heavies, .36 (after all upgrades and perks) is good, anything better is great. Anything above .38 (after all upgrades and perks) is mediocre to outright bad
Can someone give me a tip on win rates? No matter how I play Wargaming insists on putting me on the losing team over and over and over again. My W8 is good. I’m a decent player, but I have day after day that it doesn’t matter how I play - I’m gonna lose. You would think the law of averages would catch up, but no.
I was there once. I understand. Stuck at 48% forever. Step 1, find people better than yourself to play with. I used the forums, but Discord may be a good modern option. Step 2, stop playing over powered tanks. The V/IV was my crutch. It gave me a fake sense of performance and prevented me from learning ways use my team. V/IV, T67, KV2, Super HC, E25, 131 feel good, but anyone can look good in them. Step 3, play similar lines like Eclipse said. American and British lines run similar as do Russian and Chinese. This will help you master the tank. Step 4, try new things on maps. You're going to have to break some eggs in the process, but this will help you learn new techniques to incorporate your team. My last piece of advice. A good player will score high on the podium while a great player will improve the play of those around them at the same time.
There are no “perks”, only skills. Your use of both words interchangeably will be confusing to new players, who are the ones more likely to benefit from your videos. I remember pre 6.0, but we should use the current lingo.
Another thing that u need to mention for new players, how long will they be spotted for, or how long they are spotted... u didnt mention that! Edit: Also for new players look at the enemy team line up, mini map to
wth, I'm shocked how bad and ugly the interface looks on the game. I always thought about trying Modern Armor if I ever get a console since it's more modern and "newer" but damn, the interface looks so cheap... compared to the WoT on PC
Exactly and if you become a CC you also get an additional 20% wr and 57.927% better RNG. Almost forgot aswell, that if you yolo at the start get taken out your team was bad ;)
A crazy idea for a future video. What would a twelve-skill crew look like if we 'the community' would ban together and let WG know. Ok start the hate replies.

Best tip is don't bother, unless you like frustration and annoyance
Do you have one commander for every nation ? If so, you switch them out, right? That seems to be the most important tip you are missing.....
Its probably better to have 1/2 of each nation and tank type

First tip is don’t play console play PC
🤓
Cold War, sturm tiger and many exclusives we have pc doesn’t I’m fine with staying console
I like both tho pc is easier for me I habe a 96 percent win rate om pc but only at 56 percent win rate on xbox
Console is fine tbh
