Using a HEAT BULB for my LEOPARD GECKO?! (halogen + deep heat projectors)

today we are exploring the possibility of using a heat bulb/overhead heating for a leopard gecko tank - specifically halogen bulbs! I'll also touch briefly on deep heat projectors, but will mainly share my experience in attempting to use a halogen bulb to heat my leopard gecko enclosure.
