- Argylle 2024 Movie Review - Argylle is a brand new spy comedy from Matthew Vaughn. This movie features a lot of great actors and some pretty clever writing. It's also a pretty long film that might not appeal to regular moviegoers. Fans of Vaughn might also not enjoy his less serious style. I was very mixed but overall liked it more than not. Definitely not one you need to rush out and see but if you are a fan of his stuff, this shouldn't disappoint.

I definitely disliked it. Matthew Vaughn has been making the same movie for 10 years and it keeps getting worse with every new film. Terrible direction, script, CGI and green screen. A talented cast wasted and a director indulging in his worst aspects. This and Night Swim are the two worst movies of 2024 so far for me. Nice review!
About Dua Lipa not being in it much, "You're going to come once, and then never come again" 😂
Matthew Vaughn is basically just known as "The Kingsman Guy" at this point.
Man I was thinking it before you even said it man... give me "The Long Kiss Goodnight" with its humble 90s budget and effects ANY DAY over this! Rockwell is amazing as always but the nepotism stinks almost as much as the disgusting 200mil they somehow spent "borrowing" material from much superior projects like TLKG (Howard couldn't of bothered to workout at least a few weeks to make the stunts she pulls at least a little believable?).
I really hope they lose that money 10 times over, there are so so many struggling creators out there, that have truly fresh and innovative material but it never becomes a reality "because there is no money" the few who do manage to get barely enough funds and sell everything they own, end up delivering something good but that would have be great with just 5-10% of the budget of this SYFY Channel Original 😂 (if not for the A list cast). SERIOUSLY HTF DID THIS COST 200 MILLION DOLLARS! WTF! 😵😵😵💫😵💫
The final scenes were so ridiculous that I couldn't believe it. Embarrassing 3 scenes since Bryce Dallas Howard becomes in She Hulk. A shame.
Adam, my guy. The opening intro with the mic dropping into scene and the circular backdrop? That was intentional, right? I think it is. Very funny.
Honestly, one of the few reviewers that I always agree with. Still don't know why this channel hasn't exploded like that other reviewer whom always gets Stuck. Man, does he get...stuck.
It was ok. I found BDH huge butt too distracting for most of it and then near the end at that party where she’s in the evening gown, my wife said. “I didn’t know Adele was an actress.”
Dammit I had so much hope. Still going to see it, but with low expectations!
Hey Adam! It was great hanging with you at MegaCon. It looks like we're on the same page with this movie. Also, The Long Kiss Goodnight is one of those sleeper hits I recommend to everyone.

Don't diss on Delirious. If you haven't seen it in a while its a real fun movie and should be remembered more as a john candy classic.
I saw this film over the weekend. It wasn't good.
You will like it for the first half and you will want to like for the second half... but fail.
Argylle is just ok. Not a total waste of time but I'd rather rewatch true lies. I recommend as a rental.
I think that the longest the movie the worse it could be. Like u said there are long and amazing movies but overall lo ger means they have to add more content and.make it right. I'm sick of this new normal of 2+ hs of length.
Henry cavill has bad luck. Handsome and good actor with lot of charisma and leading man potential who could be a big action star and play both hero and villain roles but barely gets anything good. Fingers crossed for ministry and warhammer but not a big deal.

Go watch the King's Man instead. That's a very underrated film.
It had some obvious flaws (i.e. CGI) but me and my friends thought it was a fun, turn your brain off movie. We didn't have any real expectations going into it.
Good movie. Better than any recent Marvel/Disney movies.

The Long Kiss Goodnight did the same storyline so much better. This film got sillier and cringier as it went along. Henry Cavill was wasted.

**spolier warning** Absolutely hated this movie . Sam Rockwell was engaging in much of,the film. His matrix ala Kate moss moves in that one scene blew me away ! Nice nod to matrix . Bryce Howard in the 1st part was believable (meek, insecure , socially inept , recluse ) .. her performance in the 2nd and final parts were example of miscasting and bad writing . Bryce Howard was not believable in the 2nd part or 3rd. Dua Lipa had my gaydar going on the blink when she spins on the dance floor and then devours Henry caville with her perfectly made up eyes , dark eye liner and delicious nails and vixen like moves . John ceyna was unnecessary. Sam Rockwell on the train was so engaging . Unfortunately the lines in the film denote an immature , childlike writing done by some adolescent who watched too many bond /spy films . Whack his pee pee whomever the dipsht is ! Henry caville in all his 7 minutes of glory are wasted and awkward. Horrible script . Bad CGI. Hate the MF cat! Should have killed it early on! Walked out after the Sam Rockwell tied to a chair with the t-shirt from The Rolling Stones latest album (red lips ) .. why ? I lost IQ from this film. For several hours afterwards I kept thinking ‘but why would they make a parody of a parody spy film and then try to take themselves too seriously ?’ .. fire all the writers ..fire the CGI people! Fire the person who thought it would be funny to add a despicable CAT! The casting was full of good actors completely wasted . Sam Rockwell carried me through much of the film. I couldn’t stand Bryce Howard once we passed the ‘I’m just a neurotic , insecure , recluse who writes great books ‘ .. she didn’t transfer with the new part 2 .. for me . Burn all copies after viewing !
