Dimash has fans of all ages. This was not from his own concert. It was a guest appearance. And in some countries, people have a different culture. They sometimes seem dead in the audience. In his concerts, things are different, no matter how old or young the people are. If you haven't seen Dimash on stage in his own concerts, you don't know him as an artist.

Please take in Dimash's performance of this song form his Barclays Center NYC concert. Ruffled Dears feathers a bit so he calmed them down at the ends of it.
I suggest to new reactors to Dimash to always start his own videos from the very beginning and DO NOT cue them up to his 1st notes! Dimash is a musical genius and every second of his videos are there for a purpose. And that is also true of the way he ends his videos, every second is important. Many of his live performances start with his speaking to the audience and end in the same way. He doesn't talk just to be talking, he has something worth listening to. There is a lot more to Dimash than his unequaled beautiful voice.

I think his mum has a bemused look on her face because she says she just doesn’t recognise her son when he is on stage as he is very humble and respectful off stage. He says in interviews that he is just a very ordinary dude in real life. You need to see the mv of Be With Me. It’s a lot of fun.
I remember seeing these sitting crowds the first time I started watching Dimash's videos and also wondered why they were sitting! I think that Americans are more demonstrative at concerts and make lots of noise to show our appreciation. Here, they wait till the end of the song and give flowers. Different countries, different traditions. Thanks for the reaction, keep it up.
It is easy to think of them as unhealthy and repressed, afraid to be warm and show honest feelings, when they call other cultures rude and that they behave like monkeys. I think they are stuck up, smug and self righteous.

Different cultures. I believe this was in Russia and from what I have read they show appreciation by being reserved which is opposite of us. He completely understands it and is usually showered with flowers and love there as well. The lady with the flowers is his beautiful mom.

This performance was part of the opening ceremony of the International Pop Singers Competition (Slavic Bazaar) in Vitebsk Belarus in 2021 right after the quarantine got lifted. Dimash was invited as one of the judges and also performed as a guest as he was a former winner of the competition in 2015. He had just sung Love Is Like A Dream (a Russian ballad) where he got innundated with flowers from the Dears and then went down to the audience to give his Mother some of the flowers he received. Then he went back up to the stage to sing Be With Me. His mother was trying to keep smiling as the tv camera kept sweeping the audience so was, in my opinion, likely tired of keeping the smile on her face all that time 😊. (Smile muscles get tired. ) The event was televised for the Belarus and Russian audience. Dimash is extremely popular in both those countries.

The silence is a sign of respect while he’s signing. It’s their culture. instead of standing ovations, he gets flowers.
People sitting, not dancing and not rising up at the end of the performance is purely cultural as it is not done in Russia for example, simply out of respect so as not to hide the view for the audience. In Russia, if the performance is appreciated, they will inundate the artist with flowers. You ask a lot of questions which is ok and normal but...just curious, do you read the comments?
If everyone stands, everyone can still see. Unless they are short like me. Then we can't see when others are sitting either. We should make all tall people sit in the back, or slouch. It would only be polite.
