  • Healthy and tasty breakfast recipe make with whole ragi and whole green gram. This recipe is an instant other than soaking. No fermentation required and also good for weight loss watchers and diabetic patient.

    Ingredients:
    Whole Ragi/Finger millet -1/2 cup
    Whole Moong/Green gram - 1/2 cup
    Shredded coconut - 1/4 cup
    Curry leaves - 1 sprig
    Jeera/cumin seeds - 1/2tsp
    Dry Red chilli - 2
    Salt to taste
    Water - 1 to 1.25 cup or as required
    Ghee or oil for roasting

    At Karnataka, Andhrapradesh and Tamilnadu people are using Raagi since thousands of years.. Now North indian people started using Raagi and same time South people started eating Parota -Dal as a prime cuisine.

    Thanks a lot .. this recipe is good option for someone who is having radiation therapy. In this therapy patient lost many nutrients but they can't eat fermented food or nonveg. So this is best recipe for them. Thanks a lot. I was looking for this non fermented high nutritional food.

    I have seen you use nutribullet for chutney and batters. Can you share your personal experience if all things done in a mixie can be done in nutribullet?

      Thank you dear. Yes recently changed to nutribullet, its worth trying and grind fine quick compared to my old Oster mixer. It come with 2 piece jar one for bulk and other for small quantity.

Is there any scenario not covered by nutribullet? I find mixie small jar sometimes still leaving pieces of coconut even if ground many times..

      @@gayathri.nagarajan Hi maybe your blades have lost the sharpness...you can powder some rock salt couple of times to sharpen the blades...this might work better grinding the coconut pieces...this works for me.

      Approx 125gm moong but ragi will not be 125gm . It may vary little bit.

    The problem is, sometimes dosa stick to the iron tawa.. btw which brand you are using ?

      I use lodge cast iron.. If you don't have please use regular dosa pan
