      The option you want to lower is "Brake Saturation", so it matches which % you get from the calibration/ testing the brakes.

    Thanks for the tip! Just picked up a used g920 setup. The problem I had with the default breaking was I practically had to stand on the damn pedal and the car would still barely come to a stop. Seems like there is only about 20٪ travel before the foam insert and then it feels like a brick wall to me.

    4 years later and still a great video. I just wrote a long ass comment and accidently deleted it. Short version was if anyone is running a foldable wheel stand with a gaming chair on hardwood floors like I am, buy a set of rubber pads and caster cups from slipstick. It cost about $15-$20 but you will have extras for future use and your setup will feel like it's bolted down while still being portable. Combine it with Karl's great calibration tips and your driving is going to be a lot better. This is not a plug, I just like to share with others when I find a product that works great.

My chair is jury-rigged to stay put but I couldn't get past 50% of the pedal's range without scooting backwards, and even then I never could get to 100% even with full body weight haha! Anyhow this is a lifesaver as I play truck simulator and those things don't stop on a dime with realistic settings. Cheers bud.

If anyone has problems with their desk chair moving back I recommend buying a cheap rubber non slip rug matt cutting out the size you need and following Karl's instructions, I can really put some force down on the pedal now whereas before I would shoot backwards across the living room when hitting the breaks hard.

    I don't use an external shifter, so I have no need for a clutch - I deleted the mapping for the brake (brake pedal does nothing) then remapped my clutch to be the brake.. Works great - longer travel and more precise braking.. Sometimes you don't need a great deal of braking, only to add a little more than what the back pressure of of the engine can do.. This is where the clutch (acting as a brake) can provide more precise braking - and hitting 100% of braking is no problem at all..

    Was looking for ways to get a better feel on the breaks without opening up the pedals and remove the rubber, as many suggests it is actually good to be in the pedals, and found this video.
    This video helped me alot, now i dont need to break my damn foot or pedals to brake in a game. Thanks man!

    The stiffness is really 100% perfect for me. In Dirt Rally 2.0 I love its stiffness and its stiffness increase later on.
    But I never tried a loadcell brake yet though

    • @miruharabae
      @miruharabae ปีที่แล้ว

      At first, I thought I thought it was a problem, but then the more I play, I tend to forget the stiffness. So yeah, I totally agree with you.

    I play dirt rally 2.0 and what I did is reducing brake saturation to 70 from the game settings, huge difference for me as I was late braking always, now I actually feel in control. No point in remove anything as you most likely will lose warranty too.

    Hey Karl, Thanks for this video. I searched youtube how to get rid of this rubber and i found your video.
    I bought the g29 3 days ago and the noob i am, i started on a gym ball (as this is my normal desk chair as it's better for your back). After the first brake i almost fell backwards ;). So i switched to a normal desk chair. Although this has wheels so if i press it more then 25% i would roll backwards.
    I'm glad i see this video before i would find a video about how to remove the rubber. Thanks again;)

    I noticed that when I re installed the software for the wheel, the setup you described foe calibration is grayed out. The only way to fix that is uninstall the software but that renders the wheel almost non usable. Any ideas? Thank you.

    • @sol756db

      same here, greyed out suddenly. Is it cause of Logitech G HUB update?

    • @Engineer_Eric_59
      @Engineer_Eric_59 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sol756db I think so. Because I uninstall the software just for the hell of it and then it was OK but then nothing was working with the wheel as far as force feedback and was very hard to steer. Well I did as I’m out at the anti-carpet material to keep the carpet from sliding and I put it under the foothills and now I can apply the brakes hard and it won’t slip at all
