I found this after I took it out. I like it more without the rubber piece though because, I am less of a “sim racer” and more of a “sim driver” I drive around.
I don't use an external shifter, so I have no need for a clutch - I deleted the mapping for the brake (brake pedal does nothing) then remapped my clutch to be the brake.. Works great - longer travel and more precise braking.. Sometimes you don't need a great deal of braking, only to add a little more than what the back pressure of of the engine can do.. This is where the clutch (acting as a brake) can provide more precise braking - and hitting 100% of braking is no problem at all..
Was looking for ways to get a better feel on the breaks without opening up the pedals and remove the rubber, as many suggests it is actually good to be in the pedals, and found this video. This video helped me alot, now i dont need to break my damn foot or pedals to brake in a game. Thanks man!
The stiffness is really 100% perfect for me. In Dirt Rally 2.0 I love its stiffness and its stiffness increase later on. But I never tried a loadcell brake yet though
I play dirt rally 2.0 and what I did is reducing brake saturation to 70 from the game settings, huge difference for me as I was late braking always, now I actually feel in control. No point in remove anything as you most likely will lose warranty too.

Glad to help and your English is fine! :)
“piece of piss”😭😭😭
OMG !! just did this setup on my G920 ..And i startede winning races now ! thanks for the tip ! :-)
Nice work!
Thanks Karl. I made a DIY rig and my chair was lifting slightly. This brake adjustment stopped that 👍
Nice work!
This is where the clutch (acting as a brake) can provide more precise braking - and hitting 100% of braking is no problem at all..
this is awesome, just purchsed a g920 thinking i was gonna return just because of the brake mechanic
4 years later still solid! Thank you
No worries!
At first, I thought I thought it was a problem, but then the more I play, I tend to forget the stiffness. So yeah, I totally agree with you.
I play dirt rally 2.0 and what I did is reducing brake saturation to 70 from the game settings, huge difference for me as I was late braking always, now I actually feel in control. No point in remove anything as you most likely will lose warranty too.
Yeah that's a good way to do it if you don't want to use the control panel option :)
Nice tutorial mate. I removed the foam bit because I found it annoying. I might put it back in now. Just the round turny bit I need to get used to lol.
"round turny bit" lol :)
Logitech for dummies ...thx 🤟🤟🤟
I initially thought.....the best way to set up G920 pedals, is to chuck them in the trash! Actually this is useful info.
Love this video, my kid is gonna get thrilled.....huge problems doing full brake pressure :D
Moin. Nutze das G923 mit Truebrake. Mit Deinem Tip bleibt meine Wand jetzt heile. Klappt hervorragend. Ehrenmann.
Geht ohne Probleme.
Great video, was discouraged to use the wheel in games but this tutorial helped me with the calibrations!
Hey Karl, Thanks for this video. I searched youtube how to get rid of this rubber and i found your video.
I bought the g29 3 days ago and the noob i am, i started on a gym ball (as this is my normal desk chair as it's better for your back). After the first brake i almost fell backwards ;). So i switched to a normal desk chair. Although this has wheels so if i press it more then 25% i would roll backwards.
I'm glad i see this video before i would find a video about how to remove the rubber. Thanks again;)
Glad I could help :)
This is awesome! I was dreading having to take apart my pedals to remove something!
This should be the only video on this topic.
i have a problem , when i double click 3:48 it just opens a window and the calibrate button cannot be pressed what should i do
I noticed that when I re installed the software for the wheel, the setup you described foe calibration is grayed out. The only way to fix that is uninstall the software but that renders the wheel almost non usable. Any ideas? Thank you.
same here, greyed out suddenly. Is it cause of Logitech G HUB update?
@@sol756db I think so. Because I uninstall the software just for the hell of it and then it was OK but then nothing was working with the wheel as far as force feedback and was very hard to steer. Well I did as I’m out at the anti-carpet material to keep the carpet from sliding and I put it under the foothills and now I can apply the brakes hard and it won’t slip at all
@@Engineer_Eric_59 Thx, but I need the Windows 'hack', I can hardly brake in Grid 2019 now :( Tried G HUB max 100% sensitivity, no help for me
@@sol756db not good. There must be a way around it
@@Engineer_Eric_59 haven't found it
I'm so happy I saw this video before taking apart my new g920
Glad it helped mate!
i didn't know what to do and i thought about pulling this rubber out until i found your video, thank you.
No problem 👍
Thanks very much, I was almost going to send it back, you saved the day, great video and it worked for me.
Glad it helped
