    Crazy that they just don't offer an auto adjust setting so no matter what car you get in the steering adjusts automatically

      Thank god/creator for this video, I was thinking I am so bad I can´t make basic turns in this game after Dirt Rally 2. Kind of shortcut for this problem is to save profile with the correct steering and name it after the cars it applies to so you do not need to check what is what each time.

      many games have it, its called soft lock, i am surprised ACC as a racing sim does not have it, you can see it most racing games nowadays that are way more arcady than ACC, is weird

    one thousand thanks for this information mate !!!!!
    the handling experience went from zero to hero
    believe it or not i had like 300 hours of hell in acc bacause i didnt knew it from the begining
    after i put the correct sterring lock to Acc and in my steering wheel software the handling became so responsive and acurate that made me realise what i wass always missing so many years in acc.

    • @RiddleTime

      I feel you, the car feels a lot more precise even though the steering lock has been decreased, though I think haven driven it with 900 makes you understand the car a bit better.

    For anyone still struggling to get 1:1 steering in 2022 try this. Step 1 - Set your steering lock. Step 2 - set your scale to 50% (the drop down box on the right of your steering axis in controls. Step 3 steer linearity mine is set to 1.23. Step 4 - fine tune your steer lock and fine tune your linearity until you’re 1:1. I am using a G920 on PC. Not sure if this will work with other wheels. Only way to know is to take my baseline settings and adjust.

  • @PHYLOgg
    @PHYLOgg 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Pretty sure this is subjective to what wheelbase you have. Because on my CSW 2.5, I have Fanalab set to 900 degrees and ACC set to 900 degrees and it auto adjusts the steering lock per car automatically. I've verified this as well with the same method you used by using the cockpit view and watching the in-game wheel and hands.

    @simracingsetups Thank you for an informative video. The question is, do I have to go back into G Hub and set the steering lock the same as in ACC? Or, can I set the G Hub settings to 900 and change the stearing loc in ACC? I'm not sure if i need to do both changes or just one. please advise. I'm using G293

    What about the for the DLC cars? Could you do a steering lock guide for those?

  • @slatanek
    @slatanek 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It should be pretty simple guys:
    Set wheel rotation to 900
    Set in game options wheel rotation to 900
    Drive with in game wheel on screen
    Check whether your real life steering wheel when turned at 90 degrees aligns perfectly with the in game one (so rl wheel at 90 degree and in game wheel at 90 degree). If both align the game basically sets proper steering lock to each car automatically
    For any further adjustments to steer lock use cars setup steering ratio

    • @slatanek
      @slatanek 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Carlos Mendoza depends on the wheel. fanatec wheels allow you to adjust their rotation on the wheel itself so you can do it quickly and whennever you want. other wheels you need to dive into the wheels driver software. so, yes and no.

    is this working for Thrustmaster T248? I tried 720 for Audi R8 but it doesnt match.
    900 also doesnt help. I have a problem on my games, Ets2, Dirt 2.0 that if I rotate lets say 850-855 degrees on game wheel goes superspeed on 900 but I can rotate 45 more degrees on my wheel to the left or right. Same thing.
    On thrustmaster control panel I got 97.7% axis and 2.3% which is correct. So I dont know what is wrong.

My question is I have the G29 etc are you or anyone else constantly being told your over excessive steering even after loading in these 1.1 values! My CC and CN keeps going down dispite setting faster lap times, being more times and over heating tyres less it's it's doing my nut!.

    Just another quick question when you put say the Ferrari to 480° do you find the in game steering wheel is slightly off when you turn your G29 upside down!? I've had to set mine to 500° to get it looking exactly the same perfectly upside down! Same for all others I've had to go 20° above like 660° not 640, 740° not 720° etc!.

    Does it matter what steering wheel you use ? Fanatec, Thrustmaster, Logitech. Are these steering locks all the same for all wheels ?

    • @SimRacingSetups
      @SimRacingSetups  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This was designed specifically for the Logitech G29, but will work with Thrustmaster wheels and Fanatec wheels on the console. With Fanatec and Thrustmaster you have to ensure you match the settings in the wheel tuning settings as well as in-game.

      SimRacingSetups thanks for the quick and informative reply. I’m using this steering locks on Thrustmaster T300 RS but I only changed the in-game steering locks. Now I’ll match the wheel lock and in-game lock together which then will work perfect. Thanks !

    I have a doubt with the Porsche I put 800 and the hands in the game only turn up to 720 or so I think and the steering wheel reaches up to 800 and it happens to me with the 3 Porsches

      Try this For anyone still struggling to get 1:1 steering in 2022 try this.

      If you really want to just use one setting go with 800. You will have to turn noticeably more with some cars such as the McLaren. But you will never have steering that is too twitchy.

    Seriously confused, every ones videos and online guides are saying exactly the same, yet when my lock is on 900° it matches my steering on every car! Problem I'm having is I have to turn so much, if I down the steering lock down I have to turn further than I do at 900° wtf is going on lol

    God i hate changing cars, very annoying, on top of changing the settings in game, I also have to change it in logitech profiler so that my g27 has the correct angle. It's so stupid this game doesn't do it automatically. The original AC did.

    This is crazy, how is it fun or rewarding to be having to piss about with this shit? It does my nut it. It's mean't to be a sim, you don't get into a car in real life and mess about with all this sort of stuff- the feedback you get is the car, apart from setup, supported gaming wheels should not even have a single setting in game!! Simulate the cars, if it's a matter of personal preference then it's not a sim is it! Sorry to rant but this has always spoilt my experience of sims.

    Absolute joke of a port. Game was either released too early to cash in on the current sim racing hype or d3t the developers of the port are shit. Possibly both.
