The first game was probably spinning so fast because it's tied to CPU speed. Probably wasn't designed expecting it'd ever have to run on a multithreaded CPU rated in the gigahertz.
You know I’m starting to realize that goosebumps used to fill the niche that is currently being filled by mascot horror that being scary stories for the (mostly) younger audience. A chapter based goosebumps Horror game where each chapter is a different goosebumps story would be awesome
From what I remember the reason the league of good guys has to rely on you so much in the masked mutant game is because the player is a wildcard the mutant doesn’t know the strengths and weaknesses of. That’s why they’re so incapacitated a lot. The mutant is a comic book villain who actually knows what he’s doing far more than most. Heck the second you show up he instantly has his henchmen make you their top priority because he knows you’ll find some way to muck it all up if given the chance despite being a powerless kid.
Only reason escape from horrorland was good to me cause it has Jeff Goldblum as Dracula and he was literally the most surprising thing that made me go "Woah no way!"
I miss when you used to be able to get games from kid's meals, cereal boxes, magazines, and school book orders. I don't care if most of them were cheeks, it was and still is really freakin' cool! I had that exact Goosebumps game from Wendy's! I can practically smell the chicken nuggets that disc was pressed up against in the bag! Horrorland is my favorite game of the bunch, but I could never get the gold medal in Pharoah's Fairways, which was required to beat the game. I had the Wii version, so that definitely didn't help.
Mad props for letting "Monster Blood" pour on your head for that long while still holding a straight face. If it were me, I would've broke character and laughed on the spot, but you held it in like a champion.

I got scared by the freaking BAG ADVERTS for that game. For years after I would have nightmares about clothes walking around and coming after me. At least now I know what book the art came from (Ghost Camp)
my boyfriend and i actually played the wii horrorland as a celebration for halloween since we both had it as a kid and man. some of those games were ridiculously hard for no reason! had us tag teaming some of those mini games. definitely felt like it was made for the wii and just ported to other systems.

I got the first movie tie-in game on the 3ds when I was a kid and since I hadn't read many of the books at that point I was utterly lost. I remember giving up like halfway through cause I was so frustrated with the nonsense logic 😅. Returning to it a few years later was such a treat though. I finally got that the references influenced the puzzle logic lol.

I had both the Wii version and the DS version game- the DS graphics are horrendous LOL. It's the same game essentially, but the graphics are so simplified. The controls are a lot easier on DS. I never played the PS2 one, but from this video, it looks identical to the Wii.
Never watched this one but did read the original book and boy was it actually horrifying. Very much on theme of repeating something ad nauseum until wanting to die 😂

The first game uses your cpu for almost everything you need to specifically limit your cpu for old games like these cause it can cause issues
Absolutely loved the wii game as it had a certain aesthetic and vibe that i wished was present in other games
