You sorta missed an important point about War Machine. Rhodey gets more injuries and then cybernetic enhancements througout the comics, and his leg problems at the end of the film seems to mirror that. I've actually seen a review in which the guy thought that Rhodey would no longer pilot the War Machine armour, due to that injury. If anything, he's going to rely more on it until he becomes a living weapon, like in the comics. Also, these were really just relevant factoids, more than actual easter eggs.

Spicy Sosa Crossbones shot him but did not kill him. In fact, Captain America didn't die in Civil War, he died in the follow up story. Sharon Carter had been brainwashed by Doctor Faustus and it was her that actually killed him.
When Wanda pushes Vision through several levels of floor and looks down the hole, that really reminded me of the scene in Fantastic Four where the Invisible Woman breaks all the floors in the Baxter building. I almost expected Hawkeye to give a damage estimate :-)
I'm so late to the conversation, but I haven't seen anyone post this yet. The woman who met Tony after the presentation was played by Alfre Woodard. She and Robert were in a movie together called Heart and Souls. In the film she had died and was looking for her son with the help of Robert's character.
Coincidences happen only when two or more events somehow connect without the connection being planned like if I decided to walk my dog and a character on my TV decided to do the same thing. And of course these are facts because they can be proven by watching the movie and reading the Comics. The reason these are Easter Eggs is because the Comics and the movies are supposed to be similar but not exact. Looper, there was one you missed. The lady by the elevator that talked to Tony was an old co-star of RDJr. Alfre Woodard & he were in the movie Heart and Souls (1993). She was one of the four souls linked to RDJr's charcater as a boy all the way to adulthood. She was the mother spirit of the group. It was a nice cameo, but it was a little bittersweet because of the sadness behind encounter.
The final fight is very similar to the first fight between Cap and Iron man in civil war and the end of the fight is a twist on the ending of Civil War: In Civil War Vision (whose against Tony) disables his suit so that Cap can beat the crap out of him until he raises his shield to Tony's damasked face like he does in the movie, only in the comics instead of being the bigger man he stops, looks around at the devastation they have brought to New York and says "I'm not Captain America, I'm Steve Rogers". In the film Steve breaks Tony's suit and leaves with Bucky, only to have the roles reversed and have Tony force him to give up being Captain America when he claims its "his fathers shield". The endings are very different and I liked how Cap came out on top in his own film, and how unlike in the comic at the end there was only one confined slugfest between two former friends rather than all the superheros at once (except the Hulk but that's a long story)

Spicy Sosa Crossbones shot him but did not kill him. In fact, Captain America didn't die in Civil War, he died in the follow up story.

I'm so late to the conversation, but I haven't seen anyone post this yet. The woman who met Tony after the presentation was played by Alfre Woodard. She and Robert were in a movie together called Heart and Souls. In the film she had died and was looking for her son with the help of Robert's character.

Coincidences happen only when two or more events somehow connect without the connection being planned like if I decided to walk my dog and a character on my TV decided to do the same thing. And of course these are facts because they can be proven by watching the movie and reading the Comics.
The reason these are Easter Eggs is because the Comics and the movies are supposed to be similar but not exact. All these little random moments happen very quickly and reference the Comics which they are based on. It's because these moments happen at random that these are Easter Eggs.

Most of these aren't easter eggs. They're either observations on how the comics were adapted (Vision, Giant-Man...), or differences from it (Crossbones, War Machine...). I mean by definition an easter egg is something hidden. Most of these are not hidden at all.
Plot hole: Tony has the 'fixed' Extremis, which can repair things like, oh, spinal injuries. Why didn't he use that on Rhodes?

Looper, there was one you missed. The lady by the elevator that talked to Tony was an old co-star of RDJr. Alfre Woodard & he were in the movie Heart and Souls (1993). She was one of the four souls linked to RDJr's charcater as a boy all the way to adulthood. She was the mother spirit of the group. It was a nice cameo, but it was a little bittersweet because of the sadness behind encounter.
The final fight is very similar to the first fight between Cap and Iron man in civil war and the end of the fight is a twist on the ending of Civil War: In Civil War Vision (whose against Tony) disables his suit so that Cap can beat the crap out of him until he raises his shield to Tony's damasked face like he does in the movie, only in the comics instead of being the bigger man he stops, looks around at the devastation they have brought to New York and says "I'm not Captain America, I'm Steve Rogers". In the film Steve breaks Tony's suit and leaves with Bucky, only to have the roles reversed and have Tony force him to give up being Captain America when he claims its "his fathers shield". The endings are very different and I liked how Cap came out on top in his own film, and how unlike in the comic at the end there was only one confined slugfest between two former friends rather than all the superheros at once (except the Hulk but that's a long story)
