Roman vs Jey was a let down but it certainly wasn’t the worst match on that card that dishonor goes to Ronda Rousey versus Shayna Baszler
Ronda Rousey didn't return to the WWE Universe because Shayna wins at SummerSlam
I was at this Summer Slam and the whole crowd hated the Rousey Baszler match. People booing and what not. I even saw someone fall asleep.

JYD was actually a pretty big attraction in Mid-South and JCP during the 1980s. Worth seeking out if you’ve never had the pleasure, he was great in that style.
Surprised that HHH vs. Steiner wasn't on here. One of the worst matches I've ever seen.

Big Show was always obese during his career. It was only in the recent past 7 years that he started getting into better shape to the extent that he developed 6-pack abs. He changed from The Big Slow(shout-out to The Rock for that phrase from an episode of WWF Smackdown in early 2000) to The Ripped Show.
Shocked the Hart/Backlund I Quit match didn't turn up here, if only because the drop in quality is so marked.

Roman vs Goldberg was the worst title defence of Roman as champion.
WWE ECW problem was it wasnt extreme, most matches shouldve had some kinda extreme stipulation, like no holds barred or no disqualification it wouldve helped with a technical match here and there hell it was the new ECW for goodness sake, they had two other shows for technical matches and showmanship. They need to capitalize on the extreme element and the TLC ppv shouldve been theirs too tbh. Such a let down it couldve been great.
I was hyped for Jey vs Roman Tribal Combat. I was expecting a lot more ceremony. Fire dances, special rules, the council of elders, anything that makes it feel more ritualistic, but nah, just a long, boring street fight.
I'm glad to see Ron Simmons challenge for the World Title in WWE since he was WCW World Champion and he really should've been WWE Champion too. The match may have not been the best obviously but glad Ron got an opportunity

Right? The treatment it gets from listmakers is absurd. Was the match uninspired? Yeah, kind of. But it was competent and there have been a lot worse matches that have been for the WWE Champtionship.
It was though lol... it's not that it was technically bad (phantom punt aside), it was just mind numbingly boring! You could sense both guys knew instantly they just didn't gel with each other, and when Orton in particular isn't feeling it he stops working.

If you think that Jey vs Roman was the worst match on that card, then you clearly didn't watch the ppv. A match not living up to expectations does not make it a bad match. That match was not even the worst of Roman's reign as champion

The only names that you said that was actually bad was Jey and Goldberg. Balor’s match was great until the finish. So if you’re saying that the last 4min of Balors match completely killed that awesome match than that’s just you. Lesnar and Roman had mid matches up until their SummerSlam 2022. His argument doesn’t stand either. Then again all of this is just opinion.
