Flair, perhaps motivated, turned heel and aligned with HHH helping him retain the World Title. We all know the rest...

Considering how Gregory Helms won quite a few titles afterward, not to mention being a cruiserweight champ for a year, I think him beating The Rock DID contribute a lot.
Considering he pinned the Rock in early 2003 and didn't have a title match (albeit tag with Rosey) until mid-2005 then it hardly led to anything. His Cruiserweight title run was after he'd switched to his real name nearly a full 3 years later. Also, he had those aforementioned title runs 2/3 years after the fact but before the win he'd had Cruiserweight, World Tag (with Kane), European and Hardcore reigns so actually won more as the Hurricane before the fact.
Kinda sad that even till leaving the company to go to AEW, Cesaro didn't have the push that he deserved. With so many remarkable moments, at least let him have a short-lived World Title reign, so sad for him 😢

People forget in that undertaker era lost the title to edge in a ladder match, he also got beat up by big show at no mercy and then pinned by triple h for the first time in his career at no way out then he got beat by kozlov… think he also lost to Jeff hardy at some point in a extreme rules match a few months before they was having undertaker lose matches to make him look vulnerable going into Wrestlemania… the original idea probably wasn’t Shawn Michaels which is why he lost to the two heels he probably lost more matches in 2008 - early 2009 than he did in his later years or since he returned as the deadman in 2004 thankfully we had the great Shawn vs taker match at mania 25…

The USA vs Canada feud was in full swing at that time and after the Hart foundation had a dominate month where the last ppv and two Raws were in Canada where they were cheered, the USA struck back when a newly signed Patriot Del Wilkes scored a pin fall victory over Bret Hart delighting the American crowd they wrestled in front of. The feud was dead a month later and both men would be gone from the company by the end of the year.
