Good video but what i would do is bring your camera angle back and down, so when u are messing with rig and bodies on the table, we can see what you are talking about, just in the beginning, the rest was good. Thanks

oh boy just ordered this body, have a old proline rubicon hpi savage body that is 1 inch short but fits my inner fenders etc exactly ,, lol what are the chances its close didn't check the width but length was perfect . probably just shorten wheelbase to and use old body
Get an extra brace like under the battery box mount. Add it to the back of the frame in front of the rear axle. And mount the receiver box there. Holes are already in frame rails to include another brace there.

it is for shure a good body to use as a crawler since is narrower plus it would look amazing going uphill / downhill etc.!

looks good. I think proline made it small to be more of a comp body not a scale body
I think you’re right. But also I think it’s the dimensions because you would have to have a 14 1/2 inch wheelbase to make scale

I won't to paint over the outside.. to get that weathered beat up truck.. I'm going to.. Keep the body on for now.. There's alot of different things you can do. to..... NC MOUNTAINS 🏞

in some ways it needed to be longer or use narrower axles to maintain a scale look. I guess it is the problem of using a standardized wheelbase.
There is a hardbody version that looks more scale but The wheel base is over 14 and I2 inches
Hi mate.. I've watched a few uploads of yours now and really appreciate the heads up on this body install as it is one my son and I both want and like but don't think the trx4 will be the truck for it. Maybe the scx10ii or as you have the element. Proline should do a 12.8 version for trx4 and widen a bit.?
Maybe a narrow 2wd traxxas rustler receiver box will fit nice, always keep one on hand for such purpose.

Mick D I should have the second part of that video done hopefully by this weekend but yes I agree they need to make a 12.8 for the TRX 4 or even better a wider and longer one for the traxxas 6 x 6😁
@@triplexrcgarage1499 yeah the trx6 body would be cool, seems like a super capable truck and not just a gymick.
It would be awesome if guys like yourself could do something other than the Mercedes body.

Could you possibly show how you got the body to fit in better detail? Did you have to remove the box and antenna?
Yes I remove the receiver box it was toooooo big lol

The Jeep Gladiator is much longer than a Wrangler by at least a foot and a half

Prepare for one to go back in stock at Amain. After watching this video I will be returning mine. The scale bothers me too much, looks like a monster truck. Cant believe Proline would showcase this body on an Element if you have to chop it up that much. It may be at home on a Trailfinder with 1.55 wheels. So disappointed.
Yeah I agree. I’m going to run mine for a while because. I change bodies like I change my underwear LOL
I have this same problem. I’m trying to install this body to my trx4 but it’s also too narrow about an inch.
I had to trim the platforms that hold the electronics just to make fit.😡
Triple X RC Garage I can’t really trim anything because my receiver box is all the way to the edge and idk how I’m gonna do it. This is lame. Proline told me it would fit.
Send them a email and complain. I’m going to. And my next video is going to reflect on this😡

Yeah I’m using my Element. Yeah it looks like a WRONCHO But it’s a great crawler no body hang ups but suck on scalability.🥴
Gen 7 works pretty good
