Me Too! Told him hearing his name called on the first game of the 1989 World Series gives me goosebumps!
“Hitting 3rd. Number 33, Jose Canseco!”
Got to tell Khris Davis my favorite memory of him. When I was young, My Mom brought me to a night game and where I was sitting Khris was on outfield and a group of guys kept yelling his name and and he looked up at us!

My favorite player of all time. Jose Canseco. I know people like me who like Jose get bashed, but i don't care. Was he perfect, nope. But I've always felt like he was a great player. If he could have stayed healthy, he would have 550 HRs. He had tremendous bat speed and power to all fields. I don't even think Yellowstone Park could have held him in. Lol. Everyone talks about exit velocity nowadays, I guarantee he would be over 120mph regularly. SS and 3B hated seeing him at the plate. Anyway, have a great day.

Legendary…. My favorite of all time class act….I had the honor of meeting Mr. Canseco when I was a kid, people are so quick to discredit him and blame performance enhancement…call it what you will…Mr Canseco was human and genuinely cared, when I was a kid growing up in Anaheim my friends brother got shot in the head, Mr Canseco went to the hospital to visit him there is a newspaper article somewhere with a picture I met him in the emergency room he was so emotionally attached but the fact that he did that made me respect and admire this special human this moment changed me forever I always wondered if he remembered but I haven’t had the opportunity to thank him for inspiring me to be a good man…

I went to an A's game during the 40/40 season. They walked him and we all knew Joser was gonna run. I'm sitting almost field level on the 3rd base line, right behind the dugout. (perfect view) Joser takes a noticeably large lead. Then Boom! Two steps and he's halfway to second! Before the ball crosses the plate, Joser is setting up his slide. It was an awesome display. He beat the throw by a mile. Good stuff!

I was 10 when the A's won the world series, and Canseco was my favorite player when I was huge into baseball in the late 80s- early 90s. He was a god among men on the field. I miss seeing him walk up to the plate, moving his head from side to side, that wide open batting stance, and the fastest, most violent swing I've ever seen to this day. One of the all-time greats in my book, I could care less about the steroids.

He never really stayed up in the "Big Show" more than a few games at a time and he spent 8 years trying. His first year back with our church he started a softball team and we played in a local league. I watched him practice and play games, and it was literally like watching a man play against boys. Everything was so smooth and powerful, even compared to some of our best players in the league. Our league had restrictions on homeruns so he would hit his two homeruns a game, and then smash the ball into the wall the next two at bats.

I have been a KC-Oakland fan since1967. The A's should have won the World Series from 1988-90 and maybe one or two more with Jose Canseco. I always thought the A's made a mistake in trading him.

Shohei brought Jose back on the show! The 40-40 club represents a total five tool baseball player : Jose Canseco, Barry Bonds, A-Rod, and other four. Miss them all!

All he did was tell the truth. Did he do it for nefarious reasons? Maybe, but at the end of the day, he cleaned up the sport. I don't know about Canseco, but I believe Bonds, Clemens, Sosa, and McGuire should be in the HOF. Jose should be a batting coach on a mlb team. I saw him hit, and man he's awesome! Great interview!

I'm glad baseball is slowly welcoming Canseco back into the fold - or at least back into the fringes of the sport. The man is far from perfect but is a good dude.

I'm amazed at how tongue-tied ex-A's are about the team re-locating (Trevor May excepted). These guys that presumably would have some negative feelings about ownership and want to show the fanbase they understand their pain just... don't. They avoid the question. Never not disappointing. Hell, Stew in the past said he sided with ownership.

I think Jose had a few more good years left in him , I remember watching him play for Chicago his last year and he put up solid numbers for playing half the season. I couldn't figure out why no one picked him up in 2002?
