    • @MountainFisher
      @MountainFisher 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Bench isn't a hater, he told it like it was. If Rose had come clean, went to rehab he only would have been suspended. Rose never would have went to prison and the FBI made a deal with the organized crime bookies to forgive Rose's hundreds of thousands in debt. Bench also knew about Rose bringing underage girls to Spring Training camp and making the other players uncomfortable as Hell with them hanging around the clubhouse.
      Rose didn't care that possibly one of these 13 to 17 year old girls could falsely accuse a player. Imagine if some 14 year old girl accused Johnny Bench of having an affair, he'd never be able to live it down, just the accusation was enough back then to ruin a player. They stayed away from the girls and none of the Reds was accused of statutory rape except Rose according to John Dowd who was the investigator who made the case against Rose. Rose got out of it because Ohio's age of consent is 16, but not Florida and she claimed their relationship started way before she turned 16.
      Dowd didn't put the statutory rape charges in his report as they weren't relevant. Just like he didn't put Rose's betting against the Reds by betting ON them every night except when he didn't, remember he owed some unsavory characters up to half a million dollars by all estimates. Don't think they did not notice when Rose didn't place bet ON the Reds. It was a clear sign to bet large against the Reds. It is in the Cincinnati newspaper article I'm going to link. It is a long read, but also talks about Rose fronting money for drugs. If you want to read about the underage girls just Google Pete Rose and underage girls, John Dowd. You'll get a few thousand hits. I said nothing that isn't documented. Pete Rose is a pedophile scumbag and still lies, he's already contradicted shit he wrote in his so called tell-all book.
