    I have the same problem with the heat in slow town traffic, so I decided to remove the exhaust system and send off the pipes to have them ceramic coated which is supposed to reduce the heat from the pipe by 30%. We will see if this help. You will get neck ache if you try and sit up and ride this bike like a street bike. The suspension on my V4S does a good job with handling rough road, so I never noticed a problem. I also added spacers to the throttle to take up the slack and stop jerky throttle responses at slow speed. Great video 🙂

    • @DSR1YT
      @DSR1YT  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Thanks Graham. Here’s to hoping the ceramic coating works. If not maybe some tin foil on your leg to reflect the heat 🤣.
      Also I’m an old broken man which won’t help with neck ache 😁

    I've got the same bike. It is an occasion to ride it every time. it tips in to corners very easily and is definately useable on the smooth twisty UK roads (which is rare).
    A good tip would be..do not ride in anything but leathers otherwise you feel the heat much worse!
    Also the V4 engine does drink alot of fuel.

      My Tuono had a drinking problem too :). I’d love this bike to be a show piece, like you said, something to come out very rarely.

    The way I see it is this way, you either want a race bike or a Cruiser. If you get a fast high-performance sportbike such as the Ducati v4s it's not going to be comfortable, the V4 is considered track ready bike. Ducati knows that people are going to take the mirrors off for the track,. So they made them thin and cheap also for lightweight. If you don't want to be baked by the exhaust you have to take the big factory exhaust off. I have the v4s and I absolutely love my bike.

    • @DSR1YT
      @DSR1YT  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Why can't we have it both ways :). I dont want my nuts burnt every time I go for a ride (not that I own one though) Im more down the naked route now for my Sunday rides. and oddly between the SF V4 / SFV2, I personally would choose the V2. UK roads are falling apart so I dont need no break neck speeds from the V4. Enjoy your V4S mate.

    • @markrossbach1458
      @markrossbach1458 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @DSR1YT why can't you have it both ways!!? ask the manufacturer!! when they built that bike it was made for the racetrack. You can't buy a V4S which is actually built for the race track and think that you can comfortably drive it around town, tooling around, if you want that get the naked version, that Motors detuned it's more comfortable for cruising around on. Why should Ducati give up their race bike to keep people like you happy!, they didn't Build The V4S for people with your type of riding style, they built that bike to cater to people like me and my riding style, they built the naked for people like you your riding style ( more chill )

    • @DSR1YT
      @DSR1YT  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Totally right Mark, knee down and wheelie action has never taken place on a naked chill bike. You crack on and enjoy your bent over riding style with the smell of burning leg hair each time you ride.

    This is why i changed from the zx10r,when i bought it,i could go hatchet nearly everywhere except towns and its comfortable at speeds.the weights off your wrists etc.these days,you get stuck behind doris and dave for miles and end up crippled!its a track day bike imo if you want to use the 200+ bhp.

    • @DSR1YT
      @DSR1YT  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @mart7798 Me too :). Let’s face it, when you are young and want to learn to ride, its to ride a sports bike. Whilst based out in Cyprus, sports bikes were amazing, no speed cameras, police didn’t pull bikes over, it was good times all round. UK isn’t like this, and our roads are terrible. Give me something comfortable to ride any day of the week.
