I've got a 18 model with a stage2 set up from geelong harley davidson, million dollar bogans mechanic if you follow him.
I'm from a sports bike background and the fat bob suits my riding style, instant acceleration when needed, and corners well, I changed the tyres on it and had to put a screen on it to stop buffeting from bdouble trucks and triples which we have in Australia......
The dislikes from me is the indicators and the speedo frosting up, I always carry 5 litres of fuel , with the smaller tank fuel stress in Australia can be an issue after 7pm if you live rural.......
I'm 58 and 110ks and this bike suits my ageing relating issues , interpretation of speed and reflexes which i thought had diminished on a sports bike.
This is my last bike....a great review that you done. Happy new year!!!!!

Thanks mate. Glad you liked the review. The fogging up is such a stupid problem to have yet it’s on most of the fatbobs.
Enjoy your fatbob and happy new year 👍

I bought the grey one from 2024. It's my 4. Harley. I am very happy with the powerful bike.

It doesn’t suit my needs for a do it all bike but I can’t help liking the style and torque of this bike. Thanks ✌️

It's definitely got more going for it than people give it credit for. I love the sound of HD's, I don't think you can beat it.

I purchased a gray haze '23 fat bob. It was the only new FB on the floor, so I guess it's my favorite color.

Sometimes you've got to take what you can get, tbh there isn't much difference between the grey and black models I don't think. Enjoy your ride Smitty.

@@DSR1YT not true that dark charcoal grey is super sexy ? The black and light grey is the worst color . Just seen one at vehicle city Harley .i go with a light brown furniture on it to give it a fugly look .

Me too mate. I’ve had people (usually owners of the older style headlight fatbobs) complain about how this newer version looks. I think it looks awesome and fitting with the bike.

There is a reason some these guys are running screaming eagle heads with s&s cycle valves ! I pay attention. The 132 s&s big bore kit is the money in the bank ? Who cares about a warranty lol 😆

I usually use a fixed arm. I’d forgot it that day but had my selfie stick. Selfie stick undone itself. Went from 1ft to 3ft, add in to me going through a twisty section meant the camera was dragging on the floor behind me 🤣🤦🏻

Great video 👍 I do like the look of them and prefer the Red one. What puts me off HD is my uncle has one and his oil tank lid is a stupid plastic bayonet o-rimg fitting, which is hard to do with the seat on. Maybe they have changed it but for the money it is a bit poor not sure what's wrong with a screw lid 😂 who knows but for me a lot of money could get some really good stuff second hand 👍

    • @DSR1YT

Thanks Richard, I can’t speak for the new oil tank I’m afraid but hopefully they’ve updated the issue. The red sure is a nice colour. I got my Fatbob 2nd with less than 2k miles on it. It was a great bike to own even if it was only for 6 months 😁

Thanks mate, it is I'll give you that, worst part is I scratched the lens a few weeks earlier on the Breakout, then this time completely removed one of the lenses. That will teach me for getting such a lean angle on a Harley, or at least that's what I tell people :). Luckily it's only a £500 camera, oh wait, balls. :)
