Nina Teicholz is not a nutritionist neither a doctor she is just a journalist cherry picking studies to feed her conspiracy theory. There are so many contradictory studies in matter of nutrition so that by cherry picking you can come to whatever conclusion you want. She brings the debates to a pointless level, I dont think nutrition is about pitting saturated against polyunsaturated fat. Both of them are necessary for our body and both of them are detrimental when consumed in excess, like everything when it comes to nutrition. There might have been mistake in nutrition guidelines but bouncing on the opposite extreme is just as much a mistake.

@jo-annel.wright2975 . To bad I didn't have the option to question what we ate growing up! My mother died from Dementia and I firmly believe it was caused by all of the carbs and sugar that she ate each and every day of her life. My grandmother and uncle both died from diabetic complications. In fact, my grandmother had her foot amputated. If they had known then, what I know now, to eat a carnivore diet, perhaps they would still be alive😢

Oh my friend it is political well that’s what the radical left made it . The woke are doing everything they can to stop people eating meat ITS THE RADICALS that are making it political
In the totalitarian mindset that characterizes much of the left, everything is viewed through a political lens - even diets. Got post-covid syndrome and carnivore has helped me as well.
It’s not connected to politics which demands for now you eat your veggies until the authorities give ze bugs. 🐞. It’s not connected to religion. There in is the problem. I'm a lifelong leftist woman, & came to carnivore from veganism (I was vegan for ethical reasons, not health, and learned the hard way that our bodies don't care about our ideologies) back in 2006. Nutrition/health shouldn't be beholden to one side of the political spectrum & it's so bizarre that it has been turned into yet another divisive issue.
I'm a life-long rightist woman, and have considered going vegan for health reasons, before I found the carnivore diet and actually fixed my health problems. I agree that it's bizarre that it's being turned into another divisive issue. I do think, though, that it seems like veganism (and other dietary aberrations, such as eating bugs, and lab-grown meat) are being pushed primarily from the left. Not sure why.
I’m a right wing old age Gammon, carnivore/ketavore has nothing to do with what side of the political spectrum you are, it’s about correct nourishment and good health. I’m as fit as I was in my 30s.🥩
I am 84 years of age.I have had diabetes (and high blood pressure) for 25 years. Doctors said it cannot be cured and I would have to take metformin for the rest of my life. I understood diet might control it so I became a vegan for two years. It did not help. My glucose (blood) readings were always between 175 and 300. I found Dr. Anthony Chaffee, a neurosurgeon from Perth Austraila, an expert in carnivore lifestyle. On March 22, 2024 I adopted that lifestyle. I stopped eating all carbs;. My meal everyday has been 4-6 eggs scramble in a lot of butter, spring or mineral water, and 90% of the time a ribeye steak. I do eat lamb, salmon and hamburger 10% of the time. In seven weeks I no longer had diabetes or high blood pressure and lost 14 pounds.. My A1c (glucose average for preceding 3 months) was 8.4).. A non-diabetic would have an A1c of 5.4 or less. Mine was 5.6 after seven weeks and it is still going down. I will never eat another carb. My doctor kept insisting that I eat a balanced meal including fruits and vegetables. Doing that kept me a diabetic. Doctors do not study nutrition in medical school. It is about time they start if they really believe in the goal of getting people well instead of keeping them sick and addicted to drugs.
If they started teaching diet in medical school, do you think they would teach the proper human diet (low-carb to carnivore)? Likely they would teach vegan. It could be worse. Maybe it's best they don't teach diet at all. We need to take our health into our own hands.
I am a 69 year old great grandmother. Most of my female peers have been brainwashed by SAD federal guidelines and many have developed an aversion to meat! They insist on eating sick chickens (low fat of course) or a little FARM raised salmon. Yuck. I have more success talking to their husbands who miss their bacon and eggs and salivate when I mention burgers and steaks. It is an uphill battle, but every deep knee bend or squat I perform for these poor souls who are using walkers and canes with multiple joint replacements fails to impress them. Their doctors “know best”. Yup, surgery is best?! I am a 3 year ketovore with healing of multiple conditions. Fasting insulin in 5s, triglycerides/HDL ratio 0.55, I give this WOE a high five.
Well done. Keep it up. 61 n been carnivore almost 5 years. My younger colleagues walked slower with huge bellies.....they seem to be addicted to Frankenstein food
The SAD is SAD because it doesn't follow the suggested nutritional guidelines, people consistently ignore them because they don't care until it's too late.
He also had a very special plan for black men that is being carried out to the letter. He was a eugenicist like Sanger, Sims and the Rockefeller Institute.
I'm a 49 year old gay dude, who considers himself moderately liberal. I've been eating carnivore since January of 2020. I went from 360 pounds to now just under 240 pounds. I am no longer pre-diabetic, and my doctor is thrilled by my blood test results. Also my IBS has cleared up for the first time in over two decades. I feel better now in my late forties, than I ever did in my thirties. I get blowback on my diet from both my more liberal friends, and my more conservative friends. I don't see diet as being necessarily political, but there does seem to be a lot of social and even cultural conditioning around what we eat. Frankly, based upon my results and how I feel, and as long as it continues being beneficial to my health, I will remain carnivore for life.
I have had the same experiences. While I don't make a big deal about it with friends. I think regenerative agriculture may be the cause that can bring thinking people on both sides together.
That's the main reason the Government (UK and USA) cannot change their dietary recommendations! After 40 (50?) years of pushing guidelines that have been making people ill it could leave them open to huge legal battles. When the UK government first announced that future guidelines would be science based I was impressed - but I didn't realise then that science has a huge problem when they get it wrong. Reputations and careers are on the line. And how do you tell the government that it is going to cost them billions of pounds to institute new training and implement new guidelines for many thousands of health employees across the country.
@@suekennedy883 that’s why I would prefer if we didn’t collectively look to the government as a source of truth. The scale of a modern national government’s mistakes and bad faith actions are quite extensive. The same can be said for any large institution.

For those of you struggling with family, friends and even your doctor over your food choices, you don't have to tell everyone, all the time, what you're doing. My doctor was astounded at my weight loss and very low normal triglycerides which have never been low normal EVER. I simply said eating less and didn't elaborate on what I was eating less of (carbs). To people around me, I tell them I follow the diet plan I got from my doctor (which are the doctors I follow Westman, Chaffee and others).
Good move!! Speaking as an RN who is doing carnivore myself: If you just tell your healthcare team you're "going low carb-ish," they probably won't freak out like they do when you say the word "carnivore". Even saying the word "ketogenic" can trigger some very uninformed healthcare practitioners.
I just tell people we don't eat sugar. They are always really impressed with that! Lol now I did tell a Dr about my eating habits the other day and he didn't say a thing but was impressed with my 60lb weight loss!
50 year old carnivore since January. Down 37 lbs- hormones balanced, sleep regulated, no more heart pains, no more numb hands, skin and hair are amazing. My digestion is cured- I have celiac! I’m aging in reverse. It’s a miracle❤️
How long did it take for your digestion to heal? It's been a week and a half and I still have bloating. I know it's a short time tho, but im dealing with bloating, insomnia and dry throat. I've been eating eggs, beef, chicken, fish, liver, sardines and occasional green juice
So Great to see this! 68 YO woman carnivore and Ketovore for 8 years. In 2000 I owned a regenerative ranch, getting deeply involved in Weston A Price Foundation with Sally Fallon, then Paleo, then Keto and now carnivore. I raised my animals totally grassfed, organic and pastured. My emphasis was on regenerative agriculture and quickly saw how difficult raising vegetables was in a no-plow regenerative healing the earth method. I have always been considered very liberal and deeply committed to the environment, despite teaching against vegetarian diets. I learned that animals are best to heal the land and ourselves. I have supplied studies and research on the misinformation on the water and carbon issues with grassfed animals, when infact its the grain that is damaging the environment. I was fortunate to meet Gary Taubes and Nina at the Low Carb San Francisco in 2018. Great work!
37yo Black woman here, i started my low/no carb journey ironically from watching another woman here on TH-cam (Keto Christina) i went Carnivore at the advice and guidance of my (female) therapist. Both women had similar health stories to mine, and had fantastic results from this dietary lifestyle. Whipe there are definitely certain elements of the community that are toxic, its a stretch to say it is on either side of the political spectrum, nor is it inherently masculine...i feel like the mainstream media got that idea by watching the ultimate bro Podcaster, Joe Rogan, when he did carnivore, and made all kinds of wild assumptions about it. They like to pick the most wild outliers like him and the "Liver King" as representatives of the movement. They'd be surprised to find that most keto/carnivore/animal based folks are actually just a bunch of chronically ill people trying to heal themselves through food. And even more shocked to find we are diverse politically, spiritually, and are also women more often than not
Good for you. It takes calm mind in today's world to focus on one's own body and not fall for media circus. Brain health, bone and cartilage health are especially important for females of all ages. Metabolic health is crucial for both sexes, especially after youth ends. Lean muscle health (normal feminine size) is crucial for women after 25. And none of these are racial either. Meat, animal protein heals and further helps thrive. It is sad how gender and race division and poison is pushed by media. The body does not care about such ideologies. It needs healthy nutrition otherwise it becomes ill or worse. (All these in addition to adequate exercise, whatever is possible, with decent weights, walking, some running, and adequate sleep, aside from small time-window of eating).
@@gon7155 Are you deliberately trolling here to sow division and poison when the conversation was about sober health and wellbeing of all races and both sexes, not politics (let alone the fact that even politically there is a good amount of non-white people and women in the same political movement you claim to be part of)?

I'm more right than left because of being self employed my whole life but my progression to carnivore is because now I don't believe anything that comes from modern medical or our government.
I, too, have been self employed and am left. I say this because just because a person is one thing (carnivore, self employed, religious, etc) doesn’t mean they’re always another (Republican, man, Democrat, etc)… ever, and I think we just assume they are.

You two ladies are the BEST!! If I run into someone who is interested in Keto/Carnivore, I always start them with Nina's book, then Judy's book. That's what worked for us.
I'm young (29) and female, and came to carnivore because I was starting to get very sick and didn't want to get worse. My political opinions are complex but I guess they most closely align with slightly right wing libertarianism. I've thought about this topic a fair bit and my tentative explanation is that my personality traits have played a huge role in both my diet and my political leanings. People with a libertarian slant tend to be both high in conscientiousness, like a conservative, and high in openness, like a liberal. I think those two traits combine together in such a way that I am constantly interested in learning/seeking truth, and willing to try things, even crazy sounding things, to see what happens with my own eyes. I consider carnivore to be a similar venture to other sorts of "biohacking" in that it takes a certain type of openness/adventurousness to be willing to experiment. Many people with the personality type that would tend to do such things, I think also tend to be more conservative or libertarian.
I never thought I would consider trying carnivore because the brainwashing must have gotten too deep in my thinking, but I am still surprised every day how much better I'm feeling now after 5 months in carnivore. Knee pain, neck pain, arthritis pain, brain fog, all gone... And it is the easiest diet to stick to because I don't want anything else anymore....
I was not using critical thinking as a vegan. Being in the ketosphere/carnisphere has required (no, ENCOURAGED) me to use my little noggin' to think about what is truly healthy and good for the environment (psst: it's definitely not a plant-based diet).
I am on the left, no doubt about it. I am carnivore, 100%. It is really sad that the media has such a huge influence on how we eat. Besides having much better health, I save a lot on my grocery bill.
There are many of us on the left and 100% carnivore. We understand the issues behind the global food corporations who are marketing people false information due to greed and profits.
I read that NYT article several weeks ago and was disturbed at the lack of research and depth. You have responded to it so well.. I have been on the keto/carnivore continuum for several years, mostly carnivore for two, and lost more than forty pounds, no longer get uti’s; and several friends reversed their T2D. Carnivore should not be politicized.
I don’t want this to be a huge rant, but it bugs the crap out of me when people tend to clump people into one group, as if there aren’t differences within the group itself. I’ve seen so many derogatory comments on certain carnivore channels against Dems or pro-Republican stuff. I wish people would just leave politics out of it altogether. I want to learn about carnivore, not hear your opinion on politics. How about we focus on what we have in common (interest in carnivore) and NOT on differences or on making asinine assumptions?
Adopting the carnivore lifestyle had absolutely nothing to do with my political affiliations- it had EVERYTHING to do with the fact that I just wanted to feel better, and I thought it was worth a try-so here I am, 7 months later, and I feel better than I have in years! Oh..and I have lost 23lbs and my potbelly is gone!😊🎉
Physicians committee for responsible medicine led me into veganism in 1999. I've been carnivore for about 8 1/2 months and wish I had found it earlier.
Thank you Nina - I read your book Big Fat Surprise when it first came out and even a couple of more times since then! I've also purchased it many times over the years for other people too.
Certain diets have been criticized for decades. And I would have to say to these people how is your diet working for you? If things are not working for you, you need to change it. People need to tweak their diet to fit them. I did. I went from keto to carnovore because on keto I had joint pain, chronic diarrhea still and my asthma was so bad. When I went to a majority meat-based with no plant diet. My life completely changed. Whenever I eat off track, I’m going to have symptoms.

Carnivore has healed so much for me! I started off carnivore in hopes to reverse my fibrocystic breast masses that have built up over 6 years eating half a dry skinless chicken breast piece a day with half cup of broccoli and little bit of wheat noodles. We are told don’t eat very much meat- so the world is almost vegan just about. I would eat red canbbage too- cooked it and ate cabbage about 3 times a week. That was about it. So I was mainly chicken, broccoli, and little wheat noodles. So from age 40-46 I started getting all that “aging” health issue mess- and the fibrocystic breast “disease” started and kept building up! When I hit age 46 I was done with it! The fibrocystic masses were getting me scares- and I started getting huge painful breast cysts too! One was around 2” long and 1” wide! Docs would say, “we don’t know what causes fibrocystic breasts disease” and “fibrocystic breasts is now normal because everyone is getting it” and “fibrocystic breast could turn into cancer” and “there is nothing you can do for fibrocystic breasts” and “diet doesn’t cause fibrocystic breasts!” I was gaining weight too and by summer of 2022 I hit perimenopause at age 46 and got every symptom you could think of. My joints were hurting too, no sleep at night, dizzy at times, it was ridiculous! I know it had to be diet! Little did I know that all the other health issues I had all my life, in addition to this mess listed above, was all due to diet! I went searching online and found the truth of my fibrocystic problem! Found out cruciferous veggies (broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, and asparagus) are all cruciferous veggies that block natural iodine absorption found in foods! And if you become depleted in iodine it messes up your thyroid which controls all- even hormones! And all organs need iodine including breasts! They swell if you are deficient! And I read these cruciferous veggies can cause cancer due to lack of iodine in body since they block absorption! Bingo! We are all being told to eat cruciferous veggies, that they can prevent cancer, and to eat lots of it including broccoli!! But in fact they are causing cancer and I truly feel it is causing all the fibrocystic breast cases that have been escalating lately that we are seeing! When I post about this and ladies write back saying they too had fibrocystic breasts, I ask, “do you eat cruciferous veggies, especially broccoli” and they all have said, “YES!” I did more research and found carnivore! I Jumped right in! In 6-8 weeks I lost 45 pounds! My perimenopause reversed! In fact don’t even get PMS symptoms and my cycle is perfectly paced! And so much more reversed that I started writing it down! And yes, my fibrocystic breast masses shrank! I share my progress because I want people to see how carnivore can heal so much and most of these things are commonly healed for many, not just me! I want to help and this is how I do- by sharing. No I am not paid to do this, I just want to help people see and be aware of what carnivore can do! I do update this list as I have been on carnivore (more lion diet version) for 1 year and 9 months now. I feel this has helped so many decide if they should try carnivore. I always say go watch Dr. Baker, Dr. Chaffee, and Dr. Berry- my three most favorite doctors. They are truly amazing! I call them my carnivore doctors! ☺️ * No more perimenopause- completely reversed! *Period cycles all timed perfect with 4 week intervals. And no PMS symptoms, but only the actual menstrual cycle itself! *No more night sweats *No more waking every 2 hours at night! *It used to take me 20 minutes or longer to fall asleep at night when I would first go to bed at night- before carnivore. Now it takes like a minute or less. Used to feel like a reptile - only warm in texas sun. No more! *Lost 45+ pounds from former baby weight and peri menopause weight. *Always had 20/20 vision with slight stigmatism- but in March doctor said my stigmatism is reversing! *Don’t sunburn as easily anymore and tan well. *Wrinkles around eyes seem to be much less. I am 47 and look like I am in early 30’s. *Gums look super healthy. Dentist seems irritated as my teeth are not dirty when cleaning every six months. Think they know they won’t make money off me. *No more sore chest from monthly periods- no swelling feeling of fullness or discomfort that prevented me from sleeping on my stomach. Now I sleep every night on my stomach! *Fibrocystic Breast issues reversing! Almost all gone after 6 years of buildup! *no cravings unless they are for meat *no more angina symptoms before a period- which started about 3 years ago. *No more feeling weak like almost passing out and dizzy around ovulation and periods when walking around. * no more fingers swelling- that started a few years ago- rings kept being tight- is pattern I noticed. One ring I had resized larger and it’s super loose now. Will have to resize smaller. *feel stronger- now lifting barbells not just hands weights. Dr. Baker said since I am 46, and 5’7” at 122lbs- need more resistance training to add more muscle weight. . So bought a 47lb barbell off Amazon and have 90 extra pounds added to it. Will continue to progress with that. *Before carnivore- i had started growing grey hairs in one of my eyebrows, few hairs at a time, but no grey in my blonde hair yet - but assumed it was coming. Now on carnivore I have had no new grey hairs growing in eye brows and still no grey hair in my natural blonde hair. And in the sun it gets super light highlights. * no more body odor! * I used to get a little anxiety with large crowds- like if attending special events- but since on carnivore I don’t get it that much. *I was a bit OCD before carnivore, but so much more relaxed so barely like that. * I was a relaxed person before, but somehow am even more relaxed and never stress about things. *Since I was a young child my sense of smell has been terrible. But not even a month in on carnivore my sense of smell has gone crazy! I smell things even far away! Amazing! *no more allergies! I was allergic to cedar and oak pollens- and mold- but since carnivore I am no longer reacting to those outdoor pollens which is amazing! * I have had no more issues from ear wax build up. Had it twice after having kids and docs would say it was a hormonal problem. Carnivore cured that too! *Veins in my arms look healthier. They were almost invisible before. *Legs no longer hurt on longer road trips or plane rides! *I used to get a popping sounds in my right shoulder when lifting weights. Was probably a pulled ligament. That is now gone! *I have been lactose intolerant since I was a kid, and I feel my nails are a bit stronger than before. They do break if I catch them on things but I feel they are getting stronger on carnivore. *My teeth look more white on carnivore. *My blood pressure has improved on carnivore. 6 years before carnivore up to starting carnivore my blood pressure was increasing. Now on carnivore it is back to normal like when I was younger. Last reading it was 100/75 which is awesome! *i used to get eye twitches in my eye lids, but that is gone. * at times when trying to fall asleep I would close my eyes and at times felt dizzy like falling feeling or spinning. But haven’t has that since I have been on carnivore for 12 months. *the skin on the heals of my feet are no longer cracked and dry! *little leak from sneezing or coughing that ladies get from estrogen dominance is gone on carnivore! Hormones balanced so no more estrogen dominance! *The top inner corner of both my larger toes have felt a little numb for years. Never had it diagnosed. But being 1 year on carnivore I no longer feel that numbness! My nerves have healed in that spot on both toes! Crazy! *My slightly receding gums behind my center bottom front teeth have rebuilt so gums all over are super healthy! I have flossed daily for years, but gums look even healthier! *my skin on my face isn’t as oily as it used to be. *My hair used to be super oily if not washed daily, but carnivore has regulated my hair so I can now go days without having to wash it- doesn’t get oily after one day like before! (Newest update added!) Want to mention if you start to get any allergy symptoms further into carnivore you may have histamine intolerance. Happened to me if I ate smoked meats daily for months straight. Went back to baking my meats and all the symptoms went away! Look into histamine intolerance when starting carnivore to make sure you know symptoms and not to eat smoked aged meats daily like I did if you get symptoms. Eat smoked meats less often. I’m 79 ,since. Carnivore 3 months ago I feel sooo much better , lost a little weight , arthritis gone , sugar levels down , energy up , back. He gone , less shopping , cooking and washing up , I love cakes and bread , but I like feeling well even more
Left-leaning, 70 year old cat lady here. I'm sort of new to this, but LOVING it so far, and Kelly Hogan really influenced me. (BTW, my cats are loving this too, being little obligate carnivores. 😂)
This was a great discussion to listen to! I've been mostly low carb (sometimes carnivore) for almost 3 years and have felt great! I will say I am far-left politically and was shocked to see a lot of comments from people leaning on the right politically so I just try to focus on the health information provided in these videos.
Yes. I agree now after seeing success on carnivore. According to my blood type I “should be“ vegetarian. Been there, done that. My health took a nose dive! Interesting interview and very insightful!
Excellent!! While I'm not a carnivore or even keto (I follow a whole food omnivore diet), I sure can appreciate the benefits of keto & carnivore diets - and basically any diets or ways of eating that help people to be their healthiest!! Thank you for this great discussion!
I have noticed that the carnivore influencers tend to lean right wing and tend to be Christians. Not all of course. I’m not either wing and while I like the wisdom gems in religions, I don’t subscribe to any specific one. I just try to be a good person, and yes I’ve had some woo-woo experiences but I’ve refrained from attaching a belief system to them. I just want to learn and enjoy the company of my fellow carnivores because damn few people understand the reason I eat the way I do.😅
Gen Mills and GW Post Cereals and Welch's Grape Juice were all started for religious purposes. The Seventh-Day Adventists are a major proponent of vegetarianism and veganism.
Idk about you guys, but one thing that always gets to me when im trying to explain to others why Carnivore is the proper human diet is people responding with "Everyone is different. What works for you may not work for others." And in my head im like, "so what, are other people a different species? We all have very similar dietary needs. And, yeah, its like the general public has been so deeply brainwashed to believe everything is ok in moderation, there are no bad foods, carbs are required for energy, etc So frustrating.
Sadly, this stereotyping of the carnivore diet being a right-wing thing has brought a divide between me and my sister. She tried to run an intervention with me and accused me of falling down conspiracy theory rabbit holes and not caring about her, because I refuse to stop doing a carnivore way of eating. She's afraid that I'm going to get cancer, even though I'm feeling so much better.
Your sister sounds like a intelligent person . Animal products are class one and two carcinogenics. The ultimate cancer fighter are polyphonls , exclusively found in plants . How is she mistaken on this matter ?
sounds as though it's all about your sister's comfort zone...she's not interested in your health and what's working for you. if she can't/won't support your choices, tell her to "MYOB"
Eating for a cause is great….until you get sick. Then you’ll do anything to get better. The answers will be there because of talks like this. Thank you
According to the Wikipedia page on Soybean Oil, "To produce soybean oil, the soybeans are cracked, adjusted for moisture content, heated to between 60 and 88 °C (140-190 °F), rolled into flakes, and solvent-extracted with hexanes. The oil is then refined, blended for different applications, and sometimes hydrogenated. " I saw a flyer to support the local food kitchen and everything they were asking for were grains and seed oils 😢.
This is definitely going to be a fight but one I am not willing to back down on. Carnivore/Keto was my lifeline back to health from a million metabolic problems I had no clue. Stumbled onto an internest, cardiologist and a few other functional doctors that knew the truth, thank God!!!
I am a carnivore yoga teacher who gets labled all kinds of "right wing" "trumpster" 😂 "q loving" omg so many assumptions 😂❤ I am from Canada and have never even voted conservative once! I just like being healthy and telling the truth as I see it.
The problem is, if you remain open-minded and curious, you will eventually start to realise that many left wing policies and beliefs are not backed by data, and that in fact they only persist by excluding data and other view points... (This is also true of the right, but because of institutional capture, fewer on the left are aware of the suppression and so left wing view points are more vulnerable to expanding world view than right-wing).
@samanthamccarthy325 I am definitely not left leaning either! Oh man, that's a whole can of worms I won't get into in a little reply ❤️ I agree with what you wrote. I believe that we need to be so discerning about everything, and self accountable, stay out of victim mode and instead of ridiculous, pointless virtue signaling, actually go help someone if you can. Help someone and don't talk about how amazing you are because you said the woke thing or whatever. And eat meat! 😋 if you want to be healthy!
I just hit a year. 75 pounds gone and people can't stop telling me how good I look. When I say I only eat meat now, they often get a funny look and change the subject. I feel no need to further explain.
People are so funny 🤣🤣 I want to stay on this just to prove it to those who say I can't live without carbs forever. God gave me this diet for healing though, and so I'm trusting him to keep me fed. 🙏🏿
My hair is going darker. I was going very white on the top and sides. No the back is very dark, the sides are slowly getting darker and even the top is going darker. I've also stopped shampoo except a tiny drop on the hair shaft not the scalp. Shampoos have way too many chemicals I decided I didn't want.
I’ve been fighting for my health for a couple of decades. I’m 58 now. Severe hormone issues since age 16, that have just been written up as my destiny. No one has taken me seriously. It’s been life altering and I’m still angry really. Weight issues, Miscarriages, still birth, severely premature births, endometriosis/adenomyosis/PCOS &&&&&& and &. No one is going to speak to me about how I’m going to Iive my best ONE life. I barely slept 19months ago until I went carnivore. I’ve had to research and do this alone, my healing is slow. I’ve found a functional doc now who at least supports me and is helping balance menopause. I’d been struggling with sleep and other issues since I was 11 years old and younger. Each year my body was wracked with more pain. People can stick their ideologies where the sun doesn’t shine. If you enforce your plant based ideologies on me, emotionally blackmail me as an animal killer and a horrid human, then frankly you show absolutely no compassion and for me or my family, you wish to slowly kill me. I will die a slow and painful death and that’s not an exaggeration. As I write this, I’m alarmed at how melodramatic this sounds, however, sadly it’s a reality and I just don’t get it. All the animals that have given me my quality of life back have come from ethically run farms ( made sure of that) and I am extremely grateful. It seems crazy that I even have to justify my choices. I (my family) lost two children to this world because of paying for the sins others and their losses will not be in vain.
As a liberal and a carnivore, I can say that there is plenty of evidence to claim the opposite as well. I don't expect mainstream media to welcome or accept carnivore, but my experiences in trying to find support in Facebook groups or on certain YT channels can be brutal. Many of the people in these groups are very outspoken in their right-wing beliefs and have no problem dogpiling on anyone who doesn't agree. It's actually made it pretty hard for me to find a supportive community and I'm not one who is outspoken or even feels that politics should be a part of it. For those of us that don't have support to stay the course in our own homes, it can have a devastating effect on our own success in the way of eating.
@L82daparty47 I concur! I've had some similar experiences. I Marco Polo if you want a buddy! I am a real person. My email is listed on my channel bio. YT will delete my message if I leave it here.
I’m a 52 year old RN and become sick, fat, and insulin resistant following medical guidelines and dietitian’s recommendations. I’ve gone healthy ketovore, lost 30 lbs and normalized my HgbA1C.
People are more than right/left wing or conservative/liberal. Some part of how we think can be one or the other. I'm a fiscal conservative, social liberal and generally libertarian (leave me alone to do my thing, you do yours, I won't interfere/care). Was vegan for a couple of years, very low carb keto now.
There’s no point in arguing with people. Science and the sheer number of people who are regaining their health and losing weight , myself included, is the proof I need. Besides I see that when someone offers you an answer you erase it. Carnivores are able to get enough Vitamin C from the meat they ingest, the same way the Inuit, Masai and other aboriginals do, often from organ meat. You don’t need as much Vitamin C if you are not eating plants. That is why we don’t get scurvy. If you look at the archaeological fossils of early hominids you will see that vegan and vegetarians had a distinct decline in brain size and height. Plants have oxalates which are toxins that cause kidney stones, depression, allergies and a whole other slew of health problems. Whatever study you think you are quoting regarding meat as a carcinogen I assure you is faulty. We are part of the animal kingdom and though it would be nice not to eat animals my biology requires that I do. It is sad that cats must eat meat too, but if you insist on turning your cat into a vegetarian, it will go blind. Hence the rise in human illnesses, Obesity Alzheimer’s, diabetes, cancer, autism, epilepsy, mental illness and addiction. We have thousands of years of evolution that give evidence to the benefits of eating meat. . We do not have studies showing the benefit of breathing air, but I still believe it is necessary.
@@julienfroidevaux1143 They are trying to eliminate cattle in the name of climate change. Do you think they would do a study that would actually show health benefits by eating beef ?
Some vegetables have lots of calcium oxalates which causes joint pain and other health problems. So the key is to avoid the vegetables with the highest calcium oxalates. And the foods to avoid are Spinach (huge amounts of calcium oxalates are in spinach), almonds, swiss chard, sweet potatoes, chocolate plus more. Look up Dr. Sally Norton on youtube to get more details.
Thank you for standing up for us . My pre diabetes is gone, I don’t get sunburned anymore, do not have to worry about a fatty liver, and I eat tons of fat, I am able to control myself and not binge eat anymore, you can’t binge on the carnivore diet, it’s impossible… and took my sugar cravings away and helped me to sleep more sound. I absolutely love this eating plan. Who knew !! And Trump 2024 🇺🇸… LOL.. just thought I’d piss a few people off. 😊
Thanks, great video as usual. You excuse the need for carnivore because it has healed so many people that were so sick. First of all, you should not have to justify why people eat the way they want to eat. But what about the tens of thousands of healthy people that have woken up to carnivore to stay healthy, and to ensure a healthy life span? I think we need to stop being so polite and politically correct dancing around the subject. Until there is a food police - and even after, I’m gonna eat what I want to eat - and that’s it! It will be easier to move a mountain, then to convince the brainwashed public that they have been conned for so many years about food, climate, and big Pharma! Keep up the good work!
Fair enough. Most people that work with us are from the chronically ill camp, so I'm definitely biased there. But I agree, everyone can do better and should be on a meat-based diet. My boys who have no chronic illness, have been on meat-based diets since 3 and 1 years old.
@1:02:00 I hope I'm still around to see that day! 🎉 I'm 58, live in 🇨🇦 trying to advocate for myself when I can't even request certain blood tests, means I'm left to using trial & error with my diet as well as supplements, waiting patiently for positive physical results to evolve......tbh I've personally been a bit dissapointed by some of my 'results' doing the Carnivore diet since Jan 1st. But the BEST result by far that I never even saw coming, was an easing of my anxiety & a significant lifting of my depression. That benefit alone has given me the resolve to forge fwd with carnivore, (with a few small tweaks) regardless of what my GP says! 💪 Fantastic interview, which led me to subscribe! Thx Judy! ❤
Right wing left wing all part of the same bird in my opinion. Thank you gals for all this info. Left are plant based we all know that 😂. I feel great but my apoB came back really high! CAC was a 7 I’m 56 former smoker. A1C went down from a 5.8 to a 5.6, been doing dirty carnivore since December. Lost 30 lbs, brain fog gone, I can sprint, have no more knee pain, definitely having better vision as well. My gray hair hasn’t changed back though 😩. Should I worry about apoB? Bart Kay says not to worry but Dr. Baker says to worry. I don’t know what to do anymore or how to improve it. Triglycerides went up a few points and HDL went up.
We are physicians and practitioners who have been extremely successful regenerating joints for 30 years because we follow the way the body actually regenerates. There are few in our field who follow the truth. Facts do matter. I was raised as a vegetarian. Myself and 3 younger siblings were damaged excessively by this. I am certainly an animal rights activist. Myself and clinical partner recommend sourcing red meat, eggs, dairy, fish, seafood, and poultry from those who are top tier in humane practices. The only patients we cannot effectively treat to regenerate their joints are strict vegans. This has been consistent over 30 years. Think about this: patients who have tons of autoimmune issues, those who are over 100 years old, those who have been and are still on many medications, those who don’t exercise, those who have severe and chronic digestive disorders, those exposed to highly toxic chemicals, those who can barely drag themselves to treatment, those who have been injured with psychiatric medications, those on the standard American diet, those with psychiatric conditions, those who are CPTSD, and on and on, all regenerate at about the same pace and complete treatment effectively. To reiterate: those who eat zero animal fats and proteins and have been vegan for some time (usually 3 years but those who are actively vegan do not regenerate) are the ONLY patients who do not effectively treat to regenerate their joints. Just as interesting, if these same patients start on the right collagens with proper protocols and add some animal proteins, they do regenerate effectively. We do not support MAGA at all or any toxicity in our world either committed by men or women. We think we represent the future in medicine. The standard medicine we have had for some time must mostly dissolve as we go forward. It’s not just diet we’ve gotten wrong of course, most of medicine is not based on real science in terms of how the body actually works. Our future medicine will be in alignment with the body/mind rather than pretending to understand how the body works. And, yes, it’s mostly men in medicine that have brought us to this point. And for those who think this is because there have been disproportionate numbers of men in medicine: we can argue about it but there is study after study showing us that female physicians and practitioners save more lives and get their patients well more than male doctors do, by far. The fact that medicine and the medical industry is about to become the 2nd leading cause of death in America pretty much says it all. Because doctors, who have 1 week of nutrition during their training, are the ones who tell us what foods to eat and then tell us what to do when we get sick, explains HOW we got here (more so than even the food industry or pharmaceutical industry). Until we change how we approach health and who gets the first, middle, and last words, and thus the biggest megaphone, we will continue to get sicker and sicker. The defense against this insanity is being informed through the many avenues to each other we have now. The informational age is confusing for many but as we go, as long as truth is paramount, we will have some road maps to getting health back in America and around the world. Veganism is one of the worst roads to take, as I’ve outlined. We are starting to understand more broadly how to avoid illness and how to achieve health. Some of us have been on it for decades. I started my advocacy nearly 70 years ago. 👍 👊
@ozzieabroad I appreciate your perspective Ozzie however food chains, corporations, and congress as well as the FDA all have tremendous power not only over what is disseminated to Americans but also the regulations they install for our foods AND for our medicines and health in general. Doctors and pharmaceutical companies round out the efforts applied towards boxing us all in to the way they “manage” us as patients, consumers and citizens. So no, whoever is in power wields some mighty swords either towards what we can clearly see are lies or what we can clearly see are truths. The problem I’m addressing, which you did not comment to, is what we as practitioners and you as laypeople are doing to make change. And unfortunately we are sadly lacking, which does affect the entire planet. And yes, politics plays a big role as does the FDA and legislators. For those who think they know what to do with the trigger issues, medicine, vaccines, food, health care, pregnancy, and so on, it’s all about truth and what is truly health giving. None of this conversation is going to go away. And the more we acknowledge and implement what is beneficial and what is making us sick and making us well, the better - and it will be partisan in some aspects. So if you want to avoid more of the back and forth as to politics, you may need to go off planet. In the meantime, focus all of your passion on righting the ship - get healthy, sustain health, and help others when you can - but without dogma. Good luck Ozzie.
I’m a medical physician too, was vegetarian or vegan for decades. So much damage done. It was the family Naturopaths that initiated this path as a healing contributor influencing my parents… but heck … making my health strong now, has been way overdue, so a lot of undoing is being required…. I love what you are doing. Wishing you , and all of us, the very best.
Yep I attended a Functional /lifestyle Medical Dr,… so heavily plant based advice, demonisation of meat… I agree: so unfortunate. My intuition and careful researching with lots of critical thinking - these were the pathway to clarity for me away from plant based into keto first , and now carnivore.
I found carnivorous diet because of Jordan Peterson. Almost a year carnivorous now and all my reflux, extra weight, joint pain disappeared. I never have felt better in my life and I am 52 years old very active man, also mind clarity is incredible now. Keep up the good work you girls are doing!
I used to work for a company that supplies some of the equipment all of the major seed oil processers use. I got the pleasure of seeing the process in person. One step of the process uses hexane. That area can be flammable and great precautions were taken for the area to have no sparks. I wasn't even allowed to walk in the area with a key FOB. It was cool to see but how anyone could think that stuff is healthy is beyond me.
Nina gives a great rundown for the opposition against carnivore/low carb. It's almost like a perfect storm against being healthy for the average person.
I read that article about supposedly masculine meat. What a crappy hit piece. Truly laughable and low-grade writing that I would have expected from a tabloid. Carnivory is making an impact and they’ve stopped ignoring our existence. The hit pieces will keep coming, and then our results will force them to adjust course.
🎉🤯 “Even with a label it’s not helping them to have vital health.” Wow! So powerfully said Judy. I’ve found it intriguing to see how much “diseases” have become tribal. I’ve often times wondered how many diseases have the same root cause and the carnivore lifestyle journey I’ve been on has really given the greatest window to this question. ❤️ Mitochondria health❤
I am a conservative, a female of 65, was on low fat / high carb diet all my life, including 4 years of being e vegetarian. Screwed my digestive big time. Started carnivore 5 months ago, improved digestive, lost weight, and planning on staying on for life, in hopes leftists would not cancel cows.
Nobody was ever going to cancel cows or gas stoves. Those are Fox News wedge issues to give them something to talk about since they don’t cover Trump criminal trials.
For YEARS (almost a decade at this point) I've said that Veganism is a psychological operation to create a mass of unhealthy, weak, and dependent peoples (since that's every Vegan I, personally, know).. and then upon learning of Carnivore, I became utterly convinced.
Healthcare, insurance, and pharmacy are already political fodder. How sad that the food we eat has become a political space Thank you for your inspiration. I want to be a change agent (yeah, borrowing from healthcare management there) for this issue. No one should have to hide because they won’t eat cake or they only eat beef, water, and salt.
Yes, I really think we are all similar deep down. Media (all forms) has done an amazing job at making everything politicized and separated. That's the best way to control when people cannot unify.
Yes, I agree. The carnivore diet is definitely being promoted by the pharmaceutical industry just as they helped promote cigarette smoking in the 1950s.
I live near 2 seed oil production plant's and you know every time they are processing oils the smell is so bad I'd rather live in an uncleaned men's restroom ,its that bad....
If you had a whiteboard with every idiopathic, autoimmune disease printed on it, I think you could throw the carnivore diet on most of them and make it stick. Especially the genetic ones. 5 years carnivore, I've reduced or reversed ALL my "age related" ailments. Just sayin...
Unfortunately several of Dr Bakers comment and one of his guests in particular made some right winged comments that really upset me because this movement should totally be unrelated to political orientation
Yeah he likes putting his politics into it. I watch for his info but it's offputting. Like if someone had to bring every topic around to golf, no matter what yall were talking about is suddenly all about course layouts, who's on the leader board etc.
We talk about inflammation being the main cause of modern day disease. Watch how carnivore improves inflammation here: th-cam.com/video/C5WwGJJ1wyc/w-d-xo.html
But where is the research?

@jo-annel.wright2975 . To bad I didn't have the option to question what we ate growing up! My mother died from Dementia and I firmly believe it was caused by all of the carbs and sugar that she ate each and every day of her life. My grandmother and uncle both died from diabetic complications. In fact, my grandmother had her foot amputated. If they had known then, what I know now, to eat a carnivore diet, perhaps they would still be alive😢
Carnivore is neither connected to politics nor to religion. But it's connected to health. My depression is totaly gone. This makes me a happy person.
Atheist or believer, right-wing or left-wing - ALL should be happy about that. If you can't agree on anything else, be happy that a fellow human has had depression lift off of them. As a believer, I'm thanking God for your non-scale victory!
The religion of anti science psuedo science has said meat is bad. Well at least from 1950. Anyway. It makes you horny and raises your tetostrone and causes masturbation and blindness. Eat your weaties. 😅😅😅. Because we don’t want more babies in the world. It’s over populated and toxic manliness is a problem. So say the cults of dis epi eugenics.
In all seriousness the he powers that be simply hate the rest of humanity and has been doing everything in its power without getting caught in the act to thin the herd. Diet has been a scientific method to find out how fast one can destroy health by not feeding the subject a species appropriate diet and we are all are lab rats. Do not comply.
You are eating death. Your stomach is a graveyard. Wake up. Happy? Lol.
Imagine not eating a proper human diet out of fear of being given a political label by some randoms.
Not only randoms, but randoms who you never see face to face in real life.

Nutrition/health shouldn't be beholden to one side of the political spectrum & it's so bizarre that it has been turned into yet another divisive issue.
I think it’s bc the left wants people to be government dependent
I'm a life-long rightist woman, and have considered going vegan for health reasons, before I found the carnivore diet and actually fixed my health problems. I agree that it's bizarre that it's being turned into another divisive issue. I do think, though, that it seems like veganism (and other dietary aberrations, such as eating bugs, and lab-grown meat) are being pushed primarily from the left. Not sure why.

Well said.
Good for you!! 🎉
If they started teaching diet in medical school, do you think they would teach the proper human diet (low-carb to carnivore)? Likely they would teach vegan. It could be worse. Maybe it's best they don't teach diet at all. We need to take our health into our own hands.
Awsome!
That’s amazing!!
I am glad to hear of your success, I would love my patients to adapt a carb-restricted diet.

This is a both sad, tragic AND inspiring comment!!
The SAD is SAD because it doesn't follow the suggested nutritional guidelines, people consistently ignore them because they don't care until it's too late.

My new endocrinologist said cholesterol is a lie and he expects a huge class action suit for the harm statins have caused .
The drug companies certainly have a lot of splainin' to do!

Does a carnivore diet also heal a weak sense of humor?
For those of you struggling with family, friends and even your doctor over your food choices, you don't have to tell everyone, all the time, what you're doing. My doctor was astounded at my weight loss and very low normal triglycerides which have never been low normal EVER. I simply said eating less and didn't elaborate on what I was eating less of (carbs). To people around me, I tell them I follow the diet plan I got from my doctor (which are the doctors I follow Westman, Chaffee and others).
Yeh I leave out the fine print sometimes haha

And even more shocked to find we are diverse politically, spiritually, and are also women more often than not
Please don't present yourself as a "black" woman. Nobody cares what your skin color is anymore.

@NutritionwithJudy what's the name of books
It's the natural human diet.
I was not using critical thinking as a vegan. Being in the ketosphere/carnisphere has required (no, ENCOURAGED) me to use my little noggin' to think about what is truly healthy and good for the environment (psst: it's definitely not a plant-based diet).
🎉🎉🎉
I am on the left, no doubt about it. I am carnivore, 100%. It is really sad that the media has such a huge influence on how we eat. Besides having much better health, I save a lot on my grocery bill.

Well said.

5 years ago my doc told me that if I didn't change my lifestyle, I'd probably be dead because my health was so bad. I went Keto in 2020 and carnivore in 2022. Today, I'm 75, I weigh exact the same as I did when I was 25, I no long have high blood pressure. I'm no longer prediabetic, no more acid reflux, no more sleep apnea, and no more joint pain. My life style change had absolutely NOTHING to do with politics.
When I post about this and ladies write back saying they too had fibrocystic breasts, I ask, “do you eat cruciferous veggies, especially broccoli” and they all have said, “YES!”
I did more research and found carnivore!

She's afraid that I'm going to get cancer, even though I'm feeling so much better.
I can't even imagine. That's just ridiculous.

I (my family) lost two children to this world because of paying for the sins others and their losses will not be in vain.
have you found Dr. Bright yet? check her out if not
Always a great interview. Nina and Judy are great resources for information. Thank you both!
It happens, no matter how different you are. Herd mentality.
Why bother being in a political carnivore group. Most TH-cam carnivore channels don't mention politics at all.

I LOVE carnivore! It has totally saved me from feeling like I had arthritis!! I feel fantastic. Goodbye menopause symptoms ❤️
I am a carnivore and a democrat. Real science doesn’t have a political affiliation.
Ah but it does because it is supposedly tied to climate. Listen to teicholz
Totally agree on all counts!
Can you cite studies that carnivore is the optimal diet ?
We have a vegans twins study , why no carnivore twins study ?
@@julienfroidevaux1143
They are trying to eliminate cattle in the name of climate change.

It healed popular health problems, but not uncommon ones. You don't hear much of the failures, because the carnivore leadership hides it.
Fair enough. Most people that work with us are from the chronically ill camp, so I'm definitely biased there. But I agree, everyone can do better and should be on a meat-based diet. My boys who have no chronic illness, have been on meat-based diets since 3 and 1 years old.

But the BEST result by far that I never even saw coming, was an easing of my anxiety & a significant lifting of my depression. That benefit alone has given me the resolve to forge fwd with carnivore, (with a few small tweaks) regardless of what my GP says! 💪

The term toxic masculinity needs to die. I've met a lot of toxic women.
Nina gives a great rundown for the opposition against carnivore/low carb. It's almost like a perfect storm against being healthy for the average person.
I read that article about supposedly masculine meat. What a crappy hit piece. Truly laughable and low-grade writing that I would have expected from a tabloid.
