Hi @JamilaMusayeva I totally love your videos on etiquettes and elegancy about the journey towards a lady with class❤ it'd be great if u could add makeup, skincare, outfit & jewellery tutorials on ur TH-cam channel :)
1. shower in the morning 2. Groom yourself after your shower 3. wear a minimal amount of makeup 4. wear perfume 5. separate pjs, lounge wear, and work wear 6. have fresh homewear, not stained clothes you used to wear out 7. wear house shoes 8. have a designated work spot
My friends have always taught at me as I wear perfume to bed, and I sleep alone. It makes me feel good to shower moisturise and the use perfume. All of my 6 grandchildren have said at different times we know this is yours we can smell it. I have also notice that when they are upset and come to be comforted they will tuck into my neck and I can feel them sniffing me. Perfume does and has a lot of different uses.
This was a very timely video! I have been overhauling my loungewear. My go-to thought is: "Would I be happy to open the door in this outfit?" If the answer is "no", I take a step back and correct the parts of my outfit that are giving me cause for pause. Thank you for your content, it's very thought-provoking!
OK, I’m seeing a lot of comments about her shower routine. As an aesthetician, I recommend that my clients wash their face twice a day. And even double cleanse in the evening. Now, this would be followed by serum‘s, treatment, and a good moisturizer. Excessive showering can lead to dry skin, but if you have a good routine and your moisturizing afterwards, preferably while you’re still wet, it really won’t be an issue. Make sure you’re exfoliating weekly as well. Showering is like meditation for some. I understand how this could end up being an essential part of her routine for her lifestyle.

Growing up we had our school clothes, play clothes and our church clothes (fancy clothes wear). After school we came home we immediately changed into our play clothes so we can go and play. We would stay in those until we went to bed into our PJs. Our clothes would look nicer and last longer. I would like to incorporate that more at home wear. Especially like loungewear. I want to look decent enough where you can go out of the house but comfortable. I definitely couldn't shower four or five times a day though. I think my skin would be too sensitive to that but in the summer I have shower twice in the day because I was sweaty so much. Also comfort is important and have clothes tailored if needed.
As I come from Central-Eastern Europe not being properly groomed at home was always something that was shocking me. Almost as much as leaving house in sweats. Do you dress for others or yourself? Do you value people outside more than people who you share your house with?

How very accurate. After being the CEO TO a private school - so having to be impeccable in order to respect students, teachers and families - I'm retired now but still volunteering online or giving at home tuition, I set myself a rule : to look exactly the same as when I was the Head. And when no lessons are planned that day, I wear elegant lounge wear. To the delight of one's family, to start with,. You also never know who might just turn up, some people visit unexpectedly ( not a recommended move, though, but nobody's perfect !), or a neighbour brings you a parcel that wasn't for them, they'll never catch you unkempt and haggard in dubious pijamas.
Very well said! It's good to see that being retired doesn't mean you can't look as good as when you were the CEO, I think it's an act of self respect and says a lot about your character. And trust me, people do notice. About your second point, I couldn't agree more. If you look like a mess at home and you get some unexpected visits, it's better to be looking decently, instead of running around trying to change of clothes and look better, it takes more time and energy.
@@extrastout1741 The secret is to do what works for you. For me, it is less stressful to be dressed than to be in pajamas (notice that Clementine said, "haggard in dubious pajamas."} I would have less problem opening the door in loose black pajama bottoms with a grey t-shirt, but I would probably put a raincoat over it. Even so, the raincoat is eccentric. So, I just get dressed; it's much less stressful. In the winter, I get dressed and put a comfortable robe over my clothes. If someone comes over unexpectantly, or if I have a Zoom meeting, I just remove the robe and put on a sweater or jacket.
Agree, you might take shower as and when it is needed (after workout, gardening, etc), but 3-4 is way too much. Tom Ford suffers from OCD. Cerave soap can you help you with skin barrier if needed.

Thank you so much for your useful advice. Your tutorials are really interesting and have helped me a lot. If you have time, I have a suggestion for a new video. I would really be interested in knowing more about how to be firm and elegant at the same time, such as in the following situations: 1) How to reject disclosing personal information when someone is being too intrusive and persuassive with courtesy. 2) How to say no with education. 3) How to disagree with respect and elegance (or professionalism, in the case of a work atmosphere).
Thank you for distinguishing loungewear and pajamas. Something so obvious yet the current culture makes us forget. I hope you can make more videos around home, hosting etc. 💗
Hi Jamila, Thank you for this timely information. I recently started wearing casual business clothes while I telecommute and study from home. I had previously gotten into the bad habit of wearing my workout clothes while I worked - which is another way of saying that I was dressing like a slob because I was at home. I most definitely feel more professional and productive when I wear business casual. Also - thank you for mentioning the fresh flowers on the desk. This was another change that I made in conjunction with dressing better. The flowers in my home office make me smile each time I enter it.
Thank you, Ms jamilla, for being honest about your showering preferences. I also like to shower multiple times in a day. Now I don't have to be self-conscious about people in general or a future spouse thinking that it's over the top and weird. Also, when I take a shower I end up gaining insights into how to solve problems that I've been having and even profound revelations.
@@Allenairamveraus Unless you live an austere life eschewing modernity, I can't imagine that you can self-righteous suggest that you never engage in the many unnecessary practices and customs of life. I could list some common uses of water that are a result of overconsumption. I do have indulgent ways, I also have frugal and humble ways too. I bet many of us do too.
Thank you Jamila, beautiful and thoughtful advice as always❤️ I agree with the multiple showers idea, it clears my mind and naturally new ideas just pop in with little or no stress. Honestly I use it as a therapy mechanism cause it's safe and totally inexpensive😅 Also, it makes me feel fresh throughout the day. My family sees it as silly if I have to take another shower if I'm meeting up with friends during the day but for me, it cleanses my aura and helps me feel refreshed and confident. Thanks for such insightful words, God bless❤️
@@juditemarchany-decastro9596 I'm not sure you're qualified to speak on that. Just because someone who has mental health issues may engage in taking multiple showers doesn't mean that EVERYONE who takes multiple showers automatically needs therapy. She explained herself. She views it as therapeutic, and it makes her feel good. Is it bad for the environment? Yeah probably, but you can't assume anything from her comment. Your comment simply has no merit.
It's funny, I also always put makeup on. A very minimal, natural looking makeup, even when I'm home alone. It's simply part of my everyday grooming routine. Always skincare first and then makeup 😊 It's automatic now, there's not even a question
I would love suggestions for starting an etiquette and feminine journey later in life, such as around 35 or 40. Thank you for continually sharing your wisdom. ❤️
As someone who is always working with men, on construction sites and professional offices, I would appreciate any advice you can give. Especially boundaries between being approachable but not flirty. Open to honest communication but not available for any unprofessional or unproductive conversation. It’s rough.
Hi Drav. I worked with a lot of men. I handled each man differently. My general suggestion is to wear clothing that is not tight. I wore slacks which were fitted at the waist but not tight. I always a blouse that wasn't tight, sheer or lowcut .I always wore a jacket. I wore flats or low heels. Make up was minimal. I only wore pants because one man commented on my legs. You might not have that problem. I never flirted. Even so, all but one man flirted with me. I handled each man differently: to one, I only spoke about religion, another his wife, another his mother, another my husband, another work, and I didn't laugh at off-color jokes, etc. You can loosen up later once the men realize that you are not interested in them, but at first it is better to just be very professional.
Thank you very kindly for this topic. I have been teleworking for three years in total. I dress and groom and shower and put on make up and wear hosiery and pretty shoes every day. I know for me personally I have a better attitude and a work mental framework. This is very good for my self-esteem and frequent grooming keeps me smelling delightful and physically attractive to my husband.
Would still love a video on where to meet quality people (friendship and dating) if you haven't made it already! I don't want to use the term "high value" because the use of the word has been cheapened over the year but it would be a lovely topic nonetheless. I appreciated this video!
I am not sure what you mean by that. I think you can meet wonderful people in the most random places. The most important thing is to work on self-development and as a result attract such people into your life.
Everytime I watch a video about personal growth and see “take shower/bath in the morning” made me question why do something like this needs to be included… Then I realized that I born and lived in tropical country which automatically lived in a culture of “you have to take shower/bath at least twice a day; when you wakeup in the morning and when the sun is set/before bed” Parents in my country always taught their kids to do so. I was thinking maybe bcs we lived in a ‘hot’ country so we have to regularly make ourselves clean for health reasons. But I also noticed that a simple routines like that really helps me to more be organized (and it helps with my mood too!). Bcs if I compared to day when I skipped showering in the morning, it’s like I’m not doing my best for the entire day… Especially if I have unexpected guest….. Feeling so insecure bcs I’m still ‘dirty’ and not smelling good (eventho maybe they can’t smell my body odor unless they sit really close or when I hug to greet them) 😅
Mrs. Musayeva, here is one video request: appropriate clothes for airport. It is necessary to be said and you are the right person to say it. I do not know why, but it it very normalized to face the whole world (and for me airports represent the doors of the world) wearing slippers and something that looks like gym wear, or even worse - a pajama. We need to be reminded how to carry ourselves into the world. Personal story: I have met my business client at airport in Vienna, while both of us were dining alone waiting for connecting flight. We started talking and soon we realized I can help him in his business. At the end, he thanked me and insisted to pay both dinners. I went home, he went to fair in Germany. Next week I got a request for quotation for our cooperation. Would that happen if I was wearing gym clothes? Hardly.
Thank you so so so much Jamila for this video because its truly truly helpful to me in my life and I truly truly love your videos so so much and congratulations for 700K Subscribers ✨💞🎂🎊☺️
What an amazing video Jamila! On my journey to be a better version of myself, I've realized the importance of good habits and being prepared for life, what you mentioned in this video is very useful advice. I think that working from home (especially if it's new for you) can be hard at first and one may be tempted to downgrade, to just look less presentable and that's not good so creating a workspace for you at home and doing things you'd do if you were to work outside of the home is way better.
I've been thinking about all these things recently. I live in a very rural area, on acreage, and am in and out of the garden all the time so it's tough. But wearing slippers all the time in the house has been bothering me, oddly. It feels sloppy. And I am very guilty of having an old silk/cashmere sweater that is past it's best before date! I do however always make effort with meals, with the 'good' place settings and flowers. I absolutely refuse to shovel in food while hunched over a coffee table like I see so many do.
Your Gorgeous!!🌼I love the color of your dress 👗 it’s one of my favorite colors!😊I work 2 days a week as a waitress ,I wear a collard top ,and a skirt ,I’m told the way I carry myself at work is very elegant ,I would like to be elegant everyday !😊I just started watching your videos today ,Learning so much

If you can be elegant out of home You can be equally elegant at home She shows and explains how today That it can be achieved any place And she has with only her dress on Nothing more save the shoes she wears
As a Muslim woman, these are the advice and what all women do at home, we have our special house wear, I wear makeup 💄 at home, and minimal outside.. Its important to be groomed everyday. Good to see that as Étiquette rules
Hi, very pretty dresss and shoes. You look relaxed and beautiful. I would like to know how you cover up your dark circles? I never see them and you mentioned that they are quite dark. I love your program and I look forward to it.
I grew up with a strict no-shoes-in-the-house rule and still tend to stick to it, even though I sanitize my shoes with alcohol after wearing them outside. Luckily there are slippers out there that look pretty much like ballet flats, and that does the trick, phew 😂 Jamila, could you please make a video on what to wear to bed and when getting up in the morning when it's cold and you need to bundle up but don't want to look frumpy? Am I the only one who struggles a lot with this? 🙂

Thank you Jamila for sharing simple to apply but also very useful & valuable tips on "How to be elegant at home."
My pleasure 😊
Thank you jamila, can you kindly guide us about the light makeup that you wear at home?
Thank you, Jamila. Your advices are precious.
You are so welcome!
Jamila, I would like a video wuth some recommendations of what to do and not to do while eating /drinking alone in a restaurant or a bar
Great advice. Thanks beautiful. 🤍Hope you are enjoying your day 🌸Jamila.
Thank you 🥰
Thank you for distinguishing loungewear and pajamas.
I am glad to hear that 😊
Jamila you're such an amazing teacher.
Thank you
Thank you, Ms jamilla, for being honest about your showering preferences. I also like to shower multiple times in a day. Now I don't have to be self-conscious about people in general or a future spouse thinking that it's over the top and weird. Also, when I take a shower I end up gaining insights into how to solve problems that I've been having and even profound revelations.
And wasting water without necesity. 😅
Thank you Jamila, beautiful and thoughtful advice as always❤️
I agree with the multiple showers idea, it clears my mind and naturally new ideas just pop in with little or no stress.
Honestly I use it as a therapy mechanism cause it's safe and totally inexpensive😅
Also, it makes me feel fresh throughout the day.
My family sees it as silly if I have to take another shower if I'm meeting up with friends during the day but for me, it cleanses my aura and helps me feel refreshed and confident.
Thanks for such insightful words, God bless❤️
Absolutely agree with you 🤍
You need therapy right away
Jamila please be careful with your advice
@@juditemarchany-decastro9596
I'm not sure you're qualified to speak on that.
@@juditemarchany-decastro9596 says who?
Coming for this video the 10th time. Oh the way you speak. I am at awe.❤❤❤❤❤
pleasee make a video about stationery ✏etiquette, and thank you for this video!
I love this so much thank you Jamila 💙💙 Congratulations on 700,000 subscribers!!
Thank you 🙏🏻☺️
It's funny, I also always put makeup on. A very minimal, natural looking makeup, even when I'm home alone. It's simply part of my everyday grooming routine. Always skincare first and then makeup 😊 It's automatic now, there's not even a question
Jamila means beautiful in Arabic. You wear this name gracefully.
Very helpful tips. Thanks Jamila! I definitely need to go out and buy some good lounge wear
You are welcome
I would love suggestions for starting an etiquette and feminine journey later in life, such as around 35 or 40. Thank you for continually sharing your wisdom. ❤️
Great suggestion!
I just found your channel and I am sooo in love!! You are goals🙌🏻❤️
Would still love a video on where to meet quality people (friendship and dating) if you haven't made it already! I don't want to use the term "high value" because the use of the word has been cheapened over the year but it would be a lovely topic nonetheless.
I appreciated this video!
Probably at educational or cultural events. It may or may not be pricey, just academic in nature.
I am not sure what you mean by that. I think you can meet wonderful people in the most random places. The most important thing is to work on self-development and as a result attract such people into your life.
Hello Jamila! Please give heads up 2 months before the Meet and Greet/Training so we can prepare. Thanks 😊
Please do a video on how we can incorporate elegance to our personal brand.
Everytime I watch a video about personal growth and see “take shower/bath in the morning” made me question why do something like this needs to be included…
Then I realized that I born and lived in tropical country which automatically lived in a culture of “you have to take shower/bath at least twice a day; when you wakeup in the morning and when the sun is set/before bed”
Parents in my country always taught their kids to do so. Feeling so insecure bcs I’m still ‘dirty’ and not smelling good (eventho maybe they can’t smell my body odor unless they sit really close or when I hug to greet them) 😅
Thanks for sharing this ☺️
I would like to hear from you about - how to look elegant while traveling.
Thank you, Jamila ♥️🌹
Thank you for the amazing tips! Could you do a video on commuting etiquette? The situation is very bad over there 😢
I can't imagine dear Ms. Jamila looking anything less than elegant no matter the circumstances. Pay attention ladies! 🙂❤
Thank you 🙏🏻
@@JamilaMusayeva You are most welcome.
@@JamilaMusayeva (I have always kept my cologne a secret despite the occasional question. I think there is something to be said for a little mystery.)
Hardly.
Thank you for sharing this story. I absolutely agree with you!
You're gorgeous in this video, Jamila!
Can you do a video about selecting bridal dresses to look elegant in the wedding day
Love this video! I’m going to be putting some of these into practice :)
So glad!
Thank you so so so much Jamila for this video because its truly truly helpful to me in my life and I truly truly love your videos so so much and congratulations for 700K Subscribers ✨💞🎂🎊☺️
Thank you 🙏🏻
I love all your tips how to be elegant at home and learning etiquette.
Great video, learned a lot, really useful advice. Next: how to behave elegantly in a car/cab maybe?
I have shown this in my online dining etiquette course. You can check out the link in the description box ☺️
Thanks for the video jamila❤
I could listen to you speak all day long!! 👏👏 ❤
Thank you so much for this video and all your work here on the channel. I appreciate so much ❤
Thank you 🙏🏻
Ahhh your new video is here 😍
🙏🏻☺️
Thank you once again Jamila!!!💗
Welcome ☺️
Good morning!! When are you back in London? I can’t believe I missed this opportunity to meet you ❤
I've been thinking about all these things recently.
Showering up to 4 times a day is the most unrealistic thing I’ve ever heard. Wow.
My dad showers more than 4 times a day😭
Yeah.Even in tropical countries like Sri Lanka.😒
Sooooo bad for your skin
I shower 3 times a day because its ssooooooooooo hot here 😬😬😬😬😬😬😬
I live in Bangladesh. It's hot as hell here. I always shower more than 3 times a day
Thank you once again for such an informative video. You are ❣️
You are welcome 🙏🏻
Jamila can you tell us that how to be consistent on our work or on studies . Please give me an advice it will motivate me because you are my mentor
Your Gorgeous!!🌼I love the color of your dress 👗 it’s one of my favorite colors!😊I work 2 days a week as a waitress ,I wear a collard top ,and a skirt ,I’m told the way I carry myself at work is very elegant ,I would like to be elegant everyday !😊I just started watching your videos today ,Learning so much
Thank you so much!! ✨
If you take a second, third or fourth shower, do you also take off and re-do your makeup (after) each shower?
Such a relaxing voice!
Thank you!
Thank you Jamila for making this wonderful video, it was really insightful, i love the idea of following etiquettes at home, i have neve actuality practiced being this elegant honestly😅
But, now i am going to start doing it!!
Hi Jamila, can you please share some tips on how to be elegant in social functions/partied especially if you are a bit self conscious and not a good dancer
Noted ☺️
If you can be elegant out of home
You can be equally elegant at home
She shows and explains how today
That it can be achieved any place
And she has with only her dress on
Nothing more save the shoes she wears
Hi! Dear, what ever things you have mentioned it plays really important role.
As a Muslim woman, these are the advice and what all women do at home, we have our special house wear, I wear makeup 💄 at home, and minimal outside.. Its important to be groomed everyday. Good to see that as Étiquette rules
Exactly ☺️
Hi Jamila! Thank you for this video. Any chance you can make a gym etiquette video?
I have not considered doing that but will keep it in mind
my favorite kind of videos
Thanks ☺️
The video that I just needed 😍
Glad to know ☺️
Dear Jamila, this video can be watched endlessly - a balm for the soul 🌿 Это видео можно смотреть бесконечно - бальзам для души 🌿
Thank you very much ✨
I recently got married and was wondering how to look put together at home too Thank you very much for the video.
You are welcome 🙏🏻
Helpful tips thanks for sharing !
Glad it was helpful!
Hi, very pretty dresss and shoes. You look relaxed and beautiful. I would like to know how you cover up your dark circles? I never see them and you mentioned that they are quite dark. I love your program and I look forward to it.
Thank you! I use concealer from Nars or Chanel
I really like your dress!
A nice robe will help you ☺️
