Wow I read up about this bridge on Bing and so surprised to see that it is in Sri Lanka. It is made entirely of cement, brick and stone, with no steel used in its construction. Rising 24 metres over the lush hills of Sri Lanka's central highlands region, the engineering marvel has stood tall since it opened in 1921. That's an amazing construction and how interesting to see homes so close to the bridge, and people literally sitting there as the train passes. It's not a daily thing that I see haha! Thanks for the nice video!
Yes British engineering (not a marvel) feat in colonial Ceylon. Built to transport tea and other commercial goods. Passengers were secondary. Tea too was introduced to Ceylon by the Brits.
The aerial footage of the Nine Arch Bridge is very nice. The image of the train passing the Nine Arch Bridge in the climax of the video is very beautiful and wonderful.

Why do people have to hike there to see it? Can't you just take a train and alight close to the bridge? Surely there is a station close by? 😆
