Superb every tutorial of yours are game changer. The way you make it look easier and time saving. I appreciate you sir I almost gave up but you brought me back ready to learn from you and I will be a good student I promise.
When you split the bench you basically created new slabs and because the main option was set as default (pen icon) they became part of the main model. To prevent this from happening, make sure to select the duplicated option as default right after creating it. Great content btw!
Hi, I would like to ask if when you make the interior elevation the opening line of the cabinets works properly? Unfortunately my drawers doesn't show the opening line, only the cabinets work.
As someone looking to transition from Revit to Archicad, your tutorials are phenomenal for real-world applications. Design options appear to be a lot better in ArchiCad than in Revit. However, I believe the renovator tool still needs work. In Revit, you can create different phases (i.e. Existing, Stage 1 Works, Stage 2, etc.). Archicad does not appear to have this ability from what I have found, but after watching this video, it looks like design options might be a viable way of showing this. I also noticed your UI is back to default with this video, but in the past, you have had your tools up on the top and properties on the left. I have attempted to drag and drop my UI so it's similar to this (properties on the left). However, it doesn't appear to be a drag-and-drop option. Do you know if they have removed this ability is ArchiCad 27 or is it a further custom setting?
Thank you for the good tutorial! I havean issue that I need some guidance. I have linked balconies as a module to an archicad project and I want to attach them as let's say "Balconies option 1". The problem is that Archicad doesn't let me link modules to this option. Is it possible link them somehow?
Thanks! Wish I could be a help, but I can't say that I've tried the design options tool with modules yet.... If you come across a solution I'd love to hear it though, and it would help anyone reading these comments. Thanks
Great tutorial, thank you. Question, im working on a teamwork files that includes options but my archicad 27 doesn't have the "option pallet", any suggestions?
Might be your work ArchiCAD 'Work environment', try going to options-> work environment -> work environment, then on the left hand side click 'work environment profiles', then under 'stored profiles', you can double click 'Architectural Basic Profile 27'. (before you do this I'd recommend saving your user preference if you've set up a custom user interface, so that you can quickly and easily revert at any time.) after this, when the dialog box pops up, I'd click 'apply', then 'ok'. then check to see if the 'options' are available in window-> pallets. hope that is of some help, thanks
If it's just a kitchen layout, ArchiCAD gets the job done for me. But for a cabinetry manufacturer, they might have more niche software. Best way to find out is to go to "seek" (or your preferred job/career finding site) and see what cabinet manufactures require in their software experience. If you find out more, would love to hear back from you. cheers
Also here's a tip to consider when thinking about which objects to use. In our office we sometimes have projects for which we may periodically make new development plans, or projects may go on for a longer period of time and during the work files are updated to newer versions of AC. We have sometimes encountered the problem that manufacturers are not willing to upgrade libraries to work with the latest versions. AC's own objects update nicely to the latest versions, but now in some projects we have had to completely redraw the furniture. We do a lot of data modeling, the objects have to be in 3D in the projects and now when the problem occurs, unnecessary man-hours are spent redrawing the furniture. If you never have to return to the project, this doesn't matter, but I thought this tip might help someone else. Yours sincerely, a draftsman who has redrawn all the fixed furniture in a few apartment blocks and public buildings (fun)
@@Islaseona thanks very much for the extra information, I have just completed a certificate iv in drafting if there’s any chance of getting some experience please let me know 😊
I still don't get it. How come you manage to illustrate almost every thing under ten minutes. This is crazy don't you know that even for an hour we could stay 😀😀

Great video covering the new design option tool

hi mate, do you have your own template?
When you split the bench you basically created new slabs and because the main option was set as default (pen icon) they became part of the main model. To prevent this from happening, make sure to select the duplicated option as default right after creating it.
Great content btw!
Thanks!

thanks so much!
No worries! :)

oh yeah, Archicad does not create real PHASES....... and now i'm thinking to use design option to make phases........

This work could be done before from layers, there was no need for a new version of archicad 27...

Might be you don't have BIMcloud permissions. Ask you BIM manager.

Do you use archicad for actual kitchen design projects and for manufacturing the design or are there other programs
You would recommend?

Ehm, thanks but... If I have a simple DOOR :) In my project, I want a design option in wich that door disappears.... HOWTO? thanks
Since a door is linked to wall, remove the wall and place a new wall (copy and paste) without the door in option 2.
