I think it’s a toss up, at times the U8K looks better on close up objects and at times the U7K looked better for things in the distance depending on the game. For the price, probably have to go with U7K. Thanks for the review!

I kept thinking the UK8 is the best one without a doubt, but you're absolutely right, the U7K does offer better distant clarity! And I love that. So I'm glad I just bought the U7K for the price. $515 tax included WITH a $100 value gift of NBA 2K Mamba Edition. As if the deal couldn't be better

I found them close enough to go 65" u7 over 55" u8 for a gaming/streaming garage TV. It replaced 2021 U8G. Thank you so much for your coverage Brian. I have bought 5 Hisense since I prefer watching TV in multiple parts of my home instead of dumping lots of funds for 1 flagship for one room.

Thank you for another awesome video. The U8K appears to be a legitimate contender, but at approximately $2023.00 for the 75" (including CA tax and 5 year geek squad protection from Best Buy) the value starts fading. The 75" U7K for approximately $1100.00 after CA tax (including a 3 year warranty backed by Costco) is starting to feel like the bang for the buck champion of 2023. Keep up the great work Sir. Much appreciated. 🙏

I just bought the 65" for $699 from Costco. I'm still undecided if I am keeping it. Time will tell when I get more use out of it once the home is back together. I might go 75" but maybe even a different TV. I see slight artifacts at times when watching movies through Apple TV 4k 2nd gen with Dolby Vision. Not sure if it's a motion setting or not. I was tempted to go 75" but at 10ft away it might be too big.

I’ve only been using LG OLED’s since 2016. I’ve been spoiled by OLED black levels and contrast. After going to Best Buy and seeing the TCL QM8 and Hisense U8K side by side, I may pick one of those for my next big tv. The price to value and how close the levels were to OLED were unreal. The flagship models from both of the brands looked very similar, but the QM8 may have the edge by a very small margin. I’m also a gamer and wish that there was 3 hdmi 2.1 ports. I need one EARC for my soundbar and the other 2 for each console.

the active contrast DOES make a difference on the picture quality. It can make the picture looking from washed out to beeing deepr with contrast similiar to what lowering the black level does except without crushing the blacks as much. I had the u7k and returned it for a sony as no matter what i did to the hisense i could never get it to stop looking washed out when gaming.

The side by sides are awesome. We all have preferences on what we think looks better so it's nice to have both units in such a good comparison to make a decision. Personally, i found that I enjoyed the picture on both tv's in different situations. Where the U8K looked better with some of the foliage in one shot the U7K would have better foliage in another shot. The picture quality on both seems so comparable that I'm definitely leaning towards a 75" U7K rather than a 65" U8K.

Check out timecode 21:34 and pause it... And this could be maybe how you have your camera set up.... but the U7K has more sharp detail in the mountains on right side of the screen. But the U8K has more detail on the tree on the left side of the screen (which is closer to the character) this gives a little more depth of image on the U8K.
Also Brian which panel looks better Off Angle?

I noticed this too. I went back to check the rest of the video and the U7K just looked blurry most of the time. You can notice it at 5:16 during the settings menu as the text look blurry on the U7K. At 8:01 you can see the text is very blurry as well. Maybe this is a game mode thing?

My Samsung Q6FN just ran into some issues so I'm looking at these 2 models and it's really tough.
I bought the Samsung qn90b for a different room last year and I'm blown away by it, the black levels are unbelievable but I can't justify dropping that much on a 75" qn90c so I after a ton of research it's looking like either the U7 or U8.
    As of right now I can get a 75" U7 for $1598 CDN or the 75" U8 is $2199.
I'm leaning towards the U7 for the price but I also have really preferred it over the U8 in alot of the scenarios.
I don't need the added brightness but the added dimming zones of the U8 should make it better, but alot of the time it looks washed out on colors, so for the few times the added dimming zones will make a difference it doesn't seem like it's worth it for me, the part that I don't like about the U7 is the black bars when watching a movie look pretty bad, much like my Q6 edge lit does.
The U7 also has slightly better response times for gaming which also makes it a difficult choice..
For the options these 2 have there's nothing from Sony, Samsung or anything that compares for the price, in fact these tvs are beating out even higher end models from those brands easily.
    Thank for the video ❤

What do recommend Samsung Q70 or Hisense U7K

    • @Mulletforhire
      @Mulletforhire 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@OulyHussain U7K! I researched the crap out of it and nothing compared for the price of the U7, the features and performance at this price point is amazing!!
      I got a 75" and I couldn't be happier.
There's a couple of small issues that I'm looking passed BC of the price.
The black bars on top and bottom have a lot of light bleed when watching a movie, I've gotten used to it after a few weeks so it doesn't bother me but there's no reason for it, the local dimming is actually quite good, and the black levels overall are really good so I'm hoping a future update may fix that.
Other thing is that the hook ups are all on the opposite side of a Samsung, and the mount isn't centered on the tv, it's more towards the bottom which also makes it more prone to leaning forward due to the imbalance.
For the average user this will outperform there expectations, the picture quality, the sound and game mode make it a very versatile tv.
I also love the Google os, I've had Samsung my last 2 tv's and no comparison, the Samsung Qn90B has the worst OS I've ever used.

I think you are mistaken in the importance of VRR on console games, especially with the state games are released in today. I'm finding it more and more common for the 60 FPS modes in games to not be able to hold 60 FPS anymore, and having VRR to stabilize the game in the 50s is critical to not having a juddery experience when the FPS drops below 60. With no VRR in these situations I would just change to the 30 FPS mode which is a huge sacrifice.

Whats up Brian, I saw your video with Fomo about the Qm8 and the Shootout, I was surprised that you took the U7K to your new place vs the U8K and the X90L as you prefer U7K out of the 3, thats saying something...
I was leaning toward the U8K 75, but now you got me thinking possibly U7K @ 85"???? Im coming from a Sony X950G 75" which has the Clarity and processing... Im hoping Hisense can at least hang or come close to that with Sony in that Regards.
One thing I wanted to mention for you and Fomo, is try and touch a bit more what SoC are in these TV's.. jus a few weeks ago... it came out the Hisense MT9618 SoC is the "Pentonic 700" with all the Hype on the A95L and it rockin the Pentonic 1000.. in comparison the 2 Chips are 95% identical so this is Huge for U7k/U8K with this kind of power under the hood. The QM8 on the other hand does NOT have this Pentonic Chip
Im thinking down the road both the U7K & U8K... U8K will for sure get some increased Brightness/NITS pulled out of it with future FW updates and tweaks. These panels are far more capable than just 1500 Nits.
I game on a PS5 and maybe down the road might get a budget gaming PC. Watch alot of movies and need decent off angle viewing as my living is a giant rectangle. TV mounted above Fireplace.

So I would like to replace it with a U8K. I have an i9-13900k and an RTX 3080ti LC. I race and fly simulators. (Flight wheel controllers, Throttle Quadrant, Racing Wheel, Pedal). I do a lot of tech research mainly. So I am on my system the whole day. I am considering the U8K because of the brightness. My office has three 8-foot windows. Great video. Thx. I currently own a TCL 4000 Series 55" TV, and I am quite happy with it since I only paid like $280 at Walmart last year after my previous TCL TV suddenly dies out of the blue. Do I *need* a new TV? No. That said, I would like to take advantage of the higher refresh rates and VRR for gaming since that is MOST of the content I consume. I play on PC with an RTX 4090, so there is plenty of FPS head room. I normally leave HDR off since I feel the picture is always very washed out compared to SDR. But maybe these newer TVs could help. Long prelude here, but here the question: BB has the 55" U7K on sale for $479 and the U8K 55" for $699! Should I spring for the U8K? From the comparison, both TVs seem very close in quality. Very hard to tell. Sometimes the U8K looked more vibrant, and sometimes the U7K did. I could definitely see the better contrast ratio coming from the U8K most likely to it having more zones? What would your advice be? Also, I watch 4K UHDs from an XBox Series X in HDR. Thx for any advice.

@@djbpresents9584 Hi, and thx for the reply. Yeah, I ditched the TCL since then. I am using a Hisense U8K 55" now. Great TV for the price and I'm happy with it. And yes, the IRS was very generous with me that year, so I splurged on the MSI RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid. Card never gets hotter than 50-ish degrees.

I bougth the 65U7KQ and it is an amazing TV but... pixel error occures at every input, moreover cloudy and lighting fault as default problems. Probably we received a bad product, but the manufacturer doesn't care about it, they refuse the repair nor the product exchange. I'm so disappointed and will avoid any Hisense products far-far away in the future. :(

I am in the market for a 55” smart tv and game on a Xbox Series X and time and time again keep coming back to the hisense brand specifically the U8 series. The current front runner for me has to be the U8K. Since I am mostly an Apple os / Amazon Alexa echo system user. What Voice Assistants or app software systems would you say pair best other than google with the Hisense brand.

I’d also like to mention that I think this segment of tvs could use some more love from reviewers I feel like at time the flagship tvs are best to death in comparisons.
Some people need a cheap tv that looks great or one for a spare room or garage.
I’d love to see more of this type of content. Specifically gaming on like s90c and reviews in how updates effect tvs and drop outs etc more investigations into issues people are having and how they can be fixed there’s pages on avs forums about these things.

Been saving up for over a year, and I actually have more than enough means, at this point, to buy that no_doubt_overpriced beast of a Sony Master-Series TV!!.. BUT, they won’t get my money unless reports comes out, stating it to be nothing less than THE KING OF ALL TV’s!!! If I hear it’s maybe just a pathetic 5% better than the way cheaper G3, Sony can suck my fat one.
After not having bought a new TV in 12 years, it’s definitely due for a MAJOR upgrade! :-) Could’ve bought the G3 loooong ago, but I refuse to make my final choice, untill that damn Sony has come out, so in-depth comparisons can be made between these two titants..
