I’m an older retired guy who has recently discovered this game- but it looks like the only way to handle this car is manual transmission setting- automatic is not getting it-

Yes I’d say if you can get used to Manual 100% the way to go, you will gain time as lot cars need gears for rotation and also short shifting etc
