If you're saying that you have to manually pair your phone to the Pioneer DMH-2600NEX each time you start your vehicle, that's not normal operation for the receiver. I think you may have a setting incorrect. First, please be sure you phone is not connected to another device like a headset or a portable speaker. This can block the in-dash receiver from connecting. Next, be sure to check the Auto Connect, and Visibility settings on the in-dash receiver. You want them both set to On. Is this model a shallow mount? If not, what is the depth of the radio? According to Crutchfield, it's too deep for my car.

The DMH-2600NEX is a full depth chassis about 6.5 inches deep. If you need a shallow chassis, please check out the Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX. Just a shame pioneer haven’t put the usb socket at the front panel as yet!

If you want a Pioneer receiver with the USB on the front check out this one: th-cam.com/video/sZrT4594McQ/w-d-xo.html
Here's another idea, I recommend installing the USB cable when you do you the installation of the in-dash receiver. When you have the dash taken apart, install the cable so that you have easy access to the USB cable in the center console or the glove box or some other easy access place in your vehicle. When you're not using the USB cable it's out of the way and it's not an ugly mess hanging off the dash. In addition, not having the USB port on the front means there is more room for a bigger video screen. • @pioneerelectronics
      @pioneerelectronics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

If you had the in-dash receiver professionally installed, you should visit your installer and explain the issue.
If you have the Pioneer AVH-2400NEX, this product was manufactured back in 2016. There could be trouble with the USB extension cable worn or failing. I recommend to try a different cable to connect Apple CarPlay. This may require you to access the back of the in-dash receiver, to replace the USB extension cable.

Been having trouble with my 2660NEX, it is shutting off at high volume. I’ve checked all the wires on the back and all the wires to my speakers. If this issues exists on the Bluetooth Audio source only, focus on the Bluetooth Audio Source. 1. Check the SLA setting when you are on the Bluetooth Audio source. Set the SLA function to - 4. You can learn more about the SLA function in this video: th-cam.com/video/Z86fQryoRVk/w-d-xo.html 2. Adjust the volume on the phone that is playing the Bluetooth Music source. It may be overloading the inputs on the receiver. The Phone's volume control should be set to 50-75% at the highest. After you adjust the phone's volume control, adjust the in-dash receiver's volume control. If you are looking to make your audio system louder and keep the music clean and clear at high volume, please consider getting an amplifier. A couple questions. What phone do you have? What model of Pioneer in-dash receiver do you have? Is your phone connected directly to the in-dash receiver through USB? Do you have the Weblink Host app on installed on your phone? Here is a video about setting up the Weblink Host app on an Android phone on the Pioneer DMH-2600NEX: th-cam.com/video/SQNnFQvqKoY/w-d-xo.html Here is video about setting up the Weblink Host app on an iPhone: th-cam.com/video/TK-MZe4NdAI/w-d-xo.html You'll need to engage the vehicle's Parking Brake in an ON-OFF-ON operation to see video on the screen. If you engage the Parking Brake and still can't see video, your vehicle may have an incorrect connection to the Green Parking Brake Wire on the in-dash receiver. • @deckerdotto6035

Here are a few questions and suggestions. Please answer my questions in detail. I'm not with you to see what you're doing. If you don't give me details, I can't help.
There is a lot of detail in this note. Please read all it carefully.
First, Are you certain you are plugging the USB cable directly into the back of the Pioneer DMH-2660NEX? Or are you plugging your phone cable into a USB port somewhere in the vehicle?
Second, not all cables are created equal. Just because a cable will charge a phone, does not mean it will carry data through to the phone and receiver. You said you bought an adapter for the original apple cable. What type of adapter? Are you certain that the adapter can transfer data? And not just charge the phone? If you bought the adapter for a dollar at a gas station, it probably won't work. I strongly recommend that you try a high quality USB type A to Apple Lightning cable for your connection and plug it directly into the back of the in-dash receiver. No extension cable, and no car USB port.
Are you using any type of USB extension cable to connect to the receiver? Any type of USB Flush Mount adapter installed in the vehicle? If so, remove them and plug directly into the back of the receiver.
When you plug in the phone, wait for 30 seconds. Next, on the in-dash receiver, touch the Home button at the top. You should see a phone tile on the bottom left of the receiver screen. Touch the phone tile. Select Apple CarPlay.
Have you tried this phone on different CarPlay enabled receiver? Does it work?
If not, are you certain that CarPlay is enabled on the phone?
      To check, do this:
Is CarPlay enabled on the iPhone?
Go to Settings, then General. Does CarPlay appear?
If it does, select CarPlay and see if it shows any devices. Note Very Important: Clear any devices stored.
If not, CarPlay needs to be enabled.
      On the phone:
      Go to Settings
      Go to Screen Time
Go to Content & Privacy Restrictions
If you have this turned on, you need to go into the Allowed Apps section and allow CarPlay.
Now when you go back to the General settings, you should see CarPlay.
      Next Restart the phone.
Next Make sure the phone is NOT CONNECTED to the in-dash receiver and Do a Restore All Settings on the in-dash receiver. You can see it here: th-cam.com/video/OMJ5yJ6157g/w-d-xo.html
Next plug the iPhone directly into the back of the receiver using a High Quality USB A to Apple Lightning cable. When you plug in the phone, wait for 30 seconds. Next, on the in-dash receiver, touch the Home button at the top. You should see a phone tile on the bottom left of the receiver screen. Touch the phone tile. Select Apple CarPlay.
