On the AVH can you use the touch screen on the head unit to navigate through you phone when connected to the bueler or do you still have to use your phone to navigate through it?

I'm so excited to try this on my iPod I have three of your pioneer stereo systems and all three vehicles I wasn't looking forward to pulling all the stereos out just add some more wires,But I would have. I picked up everything I need to do one vehicle and I will try that in the morning I'm super excited..!!!
Because using an app it's like the putting a GPS tracking collar a wild animal !!! Im a trained human an just don't need to be tracked.!! Haha

Do you have to have that specific lead for the non hdmi radio? Or can you do it with a straight hdmi to the 3 connectors? Why do you have to have usb power?
Great tip!. everyone is commenting about that this isn't Mirror Link. Who cares! This is awesome!. I can see the best navi apps on a bigger screen, watch Netflix, you tube, and then some. My phone's touch screen responds better anyways. You want actual Mirror link? Buy a radio that does.

Hi there, bit of a technical question. So I noticed that my USB port is already taken up with the usb for CarPlay. So can I use a 2 to 1 splitter without power loss to power the adapter for the rvc to hdmi because i don’t have an hdmi port. Or I also found rvc to hdmi that don’t require a usb power connection. So in the case could I use the lighting and hdmi adapter and the lighting connector to power it from the lighting cable, If that makes sense or does it even require power?. Just trying to figure out which is best for my situation where the USB port is already taken up. Thanks!

great video! i connected it to my stereo and it works! however the sound only comes out of the left front speaker. it isnt the radio itself, because while connected to BT i get all my speakers, as well as regular radio too. I have a Jensen Vx2071 it is connected with the three wires in the back AVI 2. anyone else have this problem?

This video was super helpful and I was able to get this to work. However, my BOSS head unit doesn't even have a USB port, much less HDMI. I set this up such that the USB plugged/tapped into the cigarette lighter power. It was working fine for a while but now the fuse seems to blow. Any thoughts here? If the Head Unit doesn't have a USB is this just asking too much of it? I appreciate any thoughts you may have.
One question you Didn't mention or link The Android mhl adapters part # to accommodate the bueler hdmi- rca cable to get Android mirroring to work
As well as a type C mhl or mhl end too adapt the mhl.

I just got a pioneer a avh-110bt I don’t have the video plugs all I have is the standard rca plug ins. I want to be able to mirror link my phone to the deck witch adapter should I purchase? I do have a usb plug on the front of the deck
The whole idea of having mirrorlink is so you don't have to use your phone, it's all done from the screen of the Head Unit. All this is showing is how to mirror your phone and not mirrorlink!

@@AiBilly If the Unit has USB in the Back: you can connect just the Cable directly to the USB (in the Rear) and change the Menu Settings on the Headunit. This will allow the Screen to be still Touch Use-able. The whole idea of NO-Hands Driving is to keep your phone away from you. Screen Mirroring, is not same as MirrorLink or Car Play. ( If you need assistance of your Hand-held device ) you will end up pulled over trying to explain to the officer (you were just changing your Radio Station) ..
You keep saying "Mirrorlink" over and over but there's nothing in this video about using it. Do you even know what Mirrorlink is?

Thank you for this! I have the 4200NEX and couldn't figure out why when watching TH-cam on my phone, I wasn't getting the video on the radio's screen. Pioneer's tech line is always busy, (plus I'm 4 hours behind their time zone), so getting teeth pulled is easier than getting help from them. I have one question; Can I upload JPEG photos from my phone to the radio via this cable? Or do I still have to put them onto a SD card first?
Hey Fritz! So the cable strictly creates just a Mirror Link. No transferring of files! Still need to use a USB Thumb drive or SD Card
What's the point or purpose of this? Why do I want a mirror display of my phone that I can't interact with?
A lot of people want to be able to do this, you can display Maps/NAV apps so you don't have to look down at your phone, movies, youtube, netflix, personal videos, anything like that

just purchased the BOSS AUDIO BV9757B, glad i didnt get the system with the navi, or pay way too much on a more expensive brand.

If you have AVI inputs and USB inputs in the front can you hoop it up that way instead of the back of the radio?

poor little fella, you don't have a clue about what you are talking about do you? I use mirrorlink on my avh-x3700bhs with an lg v20 and all i need is a usb c cable. simply plug it into the phone and into the back of the radio and viola, mirrorlink. of course you've got to enable the correct settings but that's simple also. i believe what you are doing is something called miracast or something similar. it sure isn't mirrorlink.

It’s 2023 now and I have the avic W8500 nex on my truck. I’m having trouble mirroring Netflix or Hulu with the same setup you are showing. TH-cam works fine no problem with TH-cam

I have a pioneer avh-x2800bs (double din) and a Samsung galaxy 7. My question is do I have to have a component to HDMI cable with the usb for power? I found an HDMI to component cable that doesn't have a usb end on it it just has 5 component ends on it. Will this work? Thanx in advance for any help or advice.

I have a a avh-x1600dvd pioneer head unit trying to do this mirror link. It has rca video plugs and usb in the bag I bought the beuller adapter and hdmi lighting adapter plugged everything in and the screen comes up saying video can be see from front viewing area or something like that. Do I have to do anything with the parking break wire?
Since It doesn’t look like Pioneer is going to fix the incompatibility issue between their AppRadio and iOS 11 (rendering it useless), this could be a decent workaround for getting access to apps like Waze on your head unit. Question: if you use the lightning to HDMI adapter here, and you connect the lightning input (meant for power) to the USB jack on the back of a unit like the AVH-2330NEX, do you get both mirrorlink and CarPlay ability? (Obviously not at the same time, but will they both work without having to wire in a USB switch somewhere?)
So you need the USB to use them both, and unfortunately there is only one USB port on that radio. If you want them both to be connected at the same time to switch back and forth, you'd have to use the radio's USB for Carplay and power the adapter with another USB source, maybe a car cigarette lighter adapter, something like that. But there are other options! These are videos on mirroring adapters that don't require USB power so you could have both connected at the same time:

I followed the directions and the phone shows up on the HU screen, but it is small. The size of the phone screen. I cannot get Netflix/ youtube/ etc to play full screen on the HU. If I turn the phone sideways for full screen viewing, the image on the HU turns 90*. Any advice?
