Update!! I can’t remember what video it was when I was telling you my Foster journey but I did finally get a placement. I got a call for a 5 day Old baby and I went and got her. So now I have had her for 7 weeks now,, I’m exhausted but I feel called to do it so will keep going. Such a lovely time❤. I’m enjoying it!! As always thank you for sharing!,😊😊

My boyfriend I use filmora for editing our vlogs, and we've had pretty good luck but we are by NO means "vloggers" it's not fancy just some life adventures. Love your vlogs and happy for what's to come but don't feel bad on our account. You have a very full life and we are lucky to get to cheer you on! Keep up the great work!

Angela I can’t remember if you’re trying to adopt eventually or if you are fostering long term or both? I have four biological kids and I hope to foster in the near future. I feel like I have a lot more love to give. Anyway in preparation for fostering I sat down and looked back at how I parented and sleep was a major difficulty with my babies. I’m believe strongly in attachment parenting. Looking forward I’m planning to keep that connected attachment based parenting style but find some solutions to things like bottle feeding and sleep. Anyway here is my plan I’ve already purchased the baby breeze, I also plan to purchase the snoo bassinet. These are two big purchases but I think in the long haul they will provide some much needed support for me during the wee hours of the night, especially because I’m planning on fostering long term and don’t want to burn out. A healthy mama psychologically etc is always better for the baby. Just a few ideas depending on your future plans maybe they could help you as well. Oh yes and Black Friday or cyber Monday are likely the best days to purchase these two items if you think they could work for your situation.

I was a nanny for a decade and I’m semi-crunchy but not when it comes to sleep: I don’t like setting habits at birth that I eventually have to break because I think that stresses out both baby and caregiver. So things like being held for all sleeping situations or sleeping in a swing or a snoo (had a nanny family that used one) are things I avoid because I don’t want to have to break them of the habit when it becomes unsafe. Also, foster babies aren’t allowed to bed share so adjusting them to sleeping separately is important. I’m big on putting them down drowsy vs asleep, looking for sleep cues, and eventually putting them on gentle sleep schedules.
Outside of the sleep regressions, these boys are champs!
