This is an extremely powerful update. It's probably the single biggest addition of features that I have seen to any device via firmware. They are basically everything I have ever wanted from the Force (recording without need of an external recording device, Elektron-style performance macros and crossfader plus more, multi-MIDI). I am really looking forward to giving these new features a spin. Congratulations on a great update, and thank you for continuing to support your amazing devices.
i’m an MPC and Maschine user. i was considering the + despite its limitations but i’m so glad I came across this video. There is no competition between this and the Maschine +. Way to go Akai!
Whar's good Bro!?...Notice how each time Force is updated it's never 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 etc...but 3.0.1-3.0.5??? Word is, Akai is planning to merge both platforms in the future. Pete hinted at it earlier this year. The MPC is currently at 2.8 and I'm sure Akai is working on the next update. With that being said, they definitely have time to make a huge announcement at Winter NAMM 2021...#ForceMPC3pt1 😎
Awesome, it’s finally here! Great job Akai, thank you for this upgrade! Edit: The Ableton import looks AMAZING!!! This update went beyond my wildest dreams for the Force, thank you so much Akai for making my dream of importing whole projects from Ableton come true!
I can’t believe how good this update is. Whoever was on the team for the firmware update for this deserves a raise. You have clearly brought this unit back from the dead and now it’s a serious contender against the maschine +. Native instruments must be sweating looking at this killer update
Cardinal Montresor well I see you later then, cause I got the mpc one and that shits dope. Secondly the mpc is very relevant. I know a lot of people that have them. Learn the software, I’m able to get thru my beats very well.
Totally spectacular. I love this machine. Thanks so much Akai Pro Force team. For me Force is the best music production machine ever. I go now to install the update to my Force. Thanks. Wonderfull.
Wow Akai very impressive. This is what I envisioned when I bought the force when it was released. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, this is like owning a new instrument.
@@rolandboss9045 lol The Maschine Plus was a very late response to the MPC. The Force Arranger update had been was announced at Winter NAMM and was definitely planned WAY before any announcement of the Maschine Plus.
I am really surprised, I had expected a big update but it exceeded my expectations, especially the Ableton import blew me away, I don't know any device that can do this, exporting to ableton is quite common these days. Only disk streaming is still missing to play longer live performances, if that is added, then the device is absolutely perfect for me and there is nothing left to complain about. Good work Akai!
@@TheMinniemal The Korg electribe 2 for example, of course the mpc live, but now that you mention it I can't think of so many :D Little bit different but the Roland MC707 can send audio to Ableton via USB to individual tracks.

Looks supermassive, THX THX THX AKAI!! Awesome job. Drum synth, a few more beat FXs and a few more plug in synths. Then The Force is everything I always hoped and envisioned it could be.
A portion of this song sounds like the track 'What Have You? (White Girl Lust Remix)' by Diamond Lights which I'm pretty sure only exists in digital form in an obscure 2011 mix for radio made by the Bag Raiders. Great sound, never thought I'd hear it again. Very nice.
This is really cool !! I hope to see similar MIDI and audio sequencing/arranging capabilities in a smaller format ( even better having slightly bigger display ) !!
I'm just waiting for the elastique pro warp algorithm in standalone mode (real time)... or warp complex like in ableton. in the AKAI FORCE and MPC LIVE, please.
Definitely a massive addition to an already dope device. The best would be if they start to support VST/AU in a future update...This would be incredible ;-)
I updated it, recorded a midi track in the arranger, went to figure out how to duplicate the clip to extend it down the timeline. Need to go into the manual.
Man, yall really came through with the lazy chop! Already have some requests for the next update though. lol 1. I desperately NEED class compliant usb audio interface so I can multitrack my eurorack rig. This would go along with recording multiple audio tracks and/or audio clips simultaneously. 2. Let's throw a note repeat option under the advance 16 levels selections with different timing divisions across 16 pads.
Please add to the list: 3. Being able to reorder tracks easily after they have been created; 4. More LFO's & destinations (sample edit screen); 5. More envelopes / a pitch envelope (sample edit screen); 6. Be able to configure the arpeggiator afterwards; 7. Enhanced editing features while working in midi clips (e.g. select multiple 'single' events with shift+select) 8. Overall fixes and enhancements on the base layer, better navigation.
@D0p3CV After installing the update, I spent an hour and a half figuring out how everything worked and found lots of other fixes and improvements Akai didn't mention in the firmware update video.
