I haven’t begun to tap into what this machine can do. It’s a truly remarkable instrument.

Would love to see updated video on force. With all the new updates it does so much I can’t believe people aren’t raving about this machine. It’s like best of push 2 and Maschine + and MPC one all one. There are hardly any videos on force and most are before the awesome updates in last year. Thank you for great videos.

hadn't looked att the akai force until a few days ago, tried a live setup with only the MC-707 but it was too clunky. after about an hour of looking at the akai i ordered it, it seems like a beast, and the drum synth kind of pushed me over the edge. hope the engines are as useable to me as they sound!

Would love to see more in depth on creating arrangement and how to assign and apply FX to the recorded arrangement. Been struggling figuring that one out. :(

Was wondering if you have a detailed TUT on *** how to place the 2.5 Internal drive inside of the Akai-Force my brother? I don't know how to do this and I don't know which Brand of internal Drive, what THE MAX GIG IS, WHAT CABLES IF ANY, so on & so on Sir. I appreciate you helping me Sir. Hope you see this. I have a request for a video. I have recently learned to use the autosampler on the Force. I have an old Command Station. It has kits that include drum sounds and synth sounds in the same patch. I run the autosampler and it successfully brings everything over. At this point I can play all the sounds as if they were still on the Command Station. If I save it at this point everything goes into a project file. I need to know how to save it so each sample is saved as a clip so I can see the samples in the browser instead of having to load the project. It would also be nice to make a kit from the samples the way the kits are set up on the force. So it can be called from other projects. I have a very large SATA drive installed so storage is not an issue. Thanks for your great videos.

I see the new manual pdf and new firmware download but I do not see any release notes for 3.0.6 yet. There usually are some bug fixes.

I am new on my Force. First few times I used Drumsynth note mapping was fine. Now in multimode two pads are kick and two are hh. I don't remember remapping, but cannot figure out how to do it in Drumsynth mode. I can in other modes but not Drumsynth. If I press note config in Drumsynth mode the only options are velocity related.

Hi Matthew, thanks for the Force vids, learning a lot. Does any software come with the Force for the computer? Tried downloading MPC Beats but never get the link they talk about on the site, I bought some additional synth intruments today but am having trouble installing them on the Force.

Mathew I have long been a big critic of the built in drum kits and how their kicks and claps and hats sound but now I have options for replacing them with the drum synth. My songs are now sounding better like I imagine them to manifest.

I have few queries regarding Akai Force.
The issue is in the clip. Can we put Time Signature in clip?
so that the programming gets easier. Changing bars at a time with different time is difficult right now. If Time Signature is implemented in clip we can change tempo and tune bars as desired. Example: if it's in 4/4 or 3/4 beat and have to go to 6/8 or 7/8 in same clip... if time Signature is implemented it's easy to move and place it on track easily, which is helpfull for drum either keyboard.
Please suggest a solution for this
We need a complete MPC Sequence set. MPC software sequence is the best.
Right now instead of (TC)Time correct please implement (TS)Time Signature.

Yeah .. you're videos really do help a great deal .. unfortunately I think mine might be defective .. just got it a week ago .. but it's doing some weird stuff 😣
Did you upgrade to the latest firmware? If it is actually defective you need to contact the seller or Akai about the warrenty.
@@MatthewStratton yes sir .. even did reset .. when copying clips ..hold copy .. select clip to copy..copy on row below .. doesn't copy things properly .. sometimes drum parts are missing .. notes in sequence on one plug-in..ie hype ..effecting notes on another clip..?
Bought new from American music supply.. I really want to like this thing .. seems pretty powerful .. hopefully these aren't one of those problematic machines that just never are quite right.. guess I'll return it .. try another one 🙄

Hey. At 3:54 when u press play to audition the presets....I can't get mine to play. I got it to work yesterday. I can't figure out what the problem is.
I have a MIDI Clip loaded that is triggering the presets.
I just got mine and I’m loving it so far. Is there a way to disable recording to clip every time you launch a pattern? I’ve accidentally recorded muting motions while jamming on ideas and had to go through and edit it back to normal.

Yes, it will inclued everything.
@@MatthewStratton Thank you. Was a bit concerned because the 3.1 update file is smaller than the 3.0.6 patch.
Do a part 2 on layering; if this is possible.. I’m going to update 2nite n see if this possible to layer with a sample

@@MatthewStratton nope.. it will have to be resampled then combine with another sample.. Could u do an editing video of midi on the Force? Finding it tedious to edit notes (moving multiple notes) on the Force. I quickly wanna go to my computer. Also synchronization with the Model 12. Would love to see and promote these types of videos
Are you referring to modern dance music where you stack multiple snars or kicks? Or two drum machines?
@@elissitdesign yes.. wanted to layer the drum synth with a sample.. I don’t believe this possible.. drum synth design would prob have to be resampled then layered with another sample

Really a joke, its standalone but you need a pc for updates..
I guess they can charge for USB drives and send the updates to you that way. Do you have a better way to update it? I really am not aware of any standalone devices that do not need a computer or device to download the update image onto. It indeed works standalone though.
@@MatthewStratton I am a Data Systems Engineer. The Force has the ability to connect to Wifi so it really would be as simple as connecting the Force to any Wifi and clicking the update option. The code to program the update button could be written into the OS that goes to the location on the web that would keep the most recent file. Basically automating the manual steps that a person using a browser is doing. The code to do it would not be very large nor complicated.
@@bryantwalley Sounds like the way in which you are speaking would be similar to updating a cell phone or tablet. It never hurts to put in a feature request and explain to Akai what you just said.
@@MatthewStratton Im good with the regular way. the comment was mainly just informational. my other video suggestion was the one I really hope you consider. I have kinda hit a wall there.
@Murada The bluetooth is for bluetooth MIDI keyboards. WiFi is for ableton link and Splice integration.
