WOW this is fantastic! AKAI FORCE is now unbeatable. It has no competitor in this segment. AKAI you heard requests from musicians like me for an ARRANGE MODE and you created it. I honestly never thought that an Arrange Mode as complete as this one was possible. Now I'm going to buy an AKAI Force. Thank you AKAI, You are the best! WOW I'm so happy !!!

I still prefer the song arrangement mode on Roland Verselab MV-1. My Force doesn't get used as much as my MV-1 anyways since the Force is stuck in 4/4, and most of the songs I write are in 3/4, 5/8, and 7/8. Force sorely needs an option to set time signature, which is a basic feature of most music production devices and grooveboxes.

  • @sethone6140
    @sethone6140 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

In the arranger though, I basically have to edit MIDI all in a single 'clip' for a single track, which stretches the whole length of the song. This can be extremely tedious and time consuming. It would be good if we could have the ability to have 'blocks' along the timeline, like pretty much all DAWs. These blocks are just useful for being able to edit that second of MIDI notes/automation and to be able to copy and paste blocks along the time line. The blocks are not really individual entities (like a clip), but rather a way to greatly improve the speed of editing.

The only thing I will say is it's hard to find the folder in TH-cam for a complete instruction. This is not your fault it seems to be how TH-cam group videos. For instance if I search AKAI Force it would be great if in your TH-cam page it just split the instructions up for each device.

The biggest thing to get my head around is that this arranger does not allow for inserting or moving of clips. You basically print the song info onto the timeline in real-time and can go back and edit but cannot simply move the parts/clips around via drag and drop as you may expect. I hope for the ability to insert clips at any position and copy/paste clips across the time line. That would make this a lot more flexible and reduce the reliance on real-time perfection during recording. Thanks 🤞

But now we have arranger mode it would actually be really convenient to have a "full fledged" metronome, like the MPC has, so you can actually see the correct grid if you work In more "unusual" time signatures like 7/4. Also would be nicer for syncing the Force with external instruments. @Akai could we ever expect this in future updates?? I understand that is never has been really necessary, and if you want you can easily do 7/4 or other time sigs on the Force, but now we can arrange the whole song on the Force, access to a grid that can handle every time signature would just really make sense, also for better integration with Ableton projects that might change time signature in the song and stuff like that.

I was really waiting for this update and AKAI did a really good job on this one. But: I find that there is a lot of menue diving involved accessing all these new functions and features. Maybe it' s just my brain that finds it difficult as a long time Maschine user, where everything seems to be more streamlined interface wise. Had this problem while testing out the current MPC line, too. Making beats wasn' t a problem at all but when it came to mixing I found the menues to be very confusing.

Yep I’m with you on that. I’ve been using iPad (nanostudio 2 and BeatMaker 3) they are so much easier to use on a touch screen than the mpc software. I find the mixer over complicated and the song arranger also longwinded. The song arranger is a big deal and I’m hoping this is going to cross over to the mpc range. I own the One and it’s superb. First time back to Akai since I bought the 2000xl new. Which is why the old sequence layout seems a bit dated now. It worked really well on the older MPCS with the tiny screen but it’s just not needed now we have touch screens. The hype synth would be a good addition on an update too. Akai have really upped their game in the last 3 years and it’s going to take time to polish the software I guess. The mpc beats is a also a great idea.

Wait what?😮 This is exactly what I was hoping for the MPC live 2. How is it such a big difference between the force and the live 2 software? The force seems like a real DAW. That is awesome but unfair at the same time. I am feeling weird right now and kinda won’t the force. But I love the live 2 more. Damn my brain 🧠 ⚡️

Fantastic update! 👍🏻 thank you Akai! I must be doing something wrong though, when playing my drumkit patterns on the arranger I only hear the snare playing, no hats or kicks or anything else, any ideas what could be the problem? 🧐🥴

Found the solution, I hade TC/Time division on "1 Bar" prior to another individual Clip recording, didnt know I had to change it back to "off" or shorter steps when in "arranger". 🖖🏻👍🏻

How does it work when I export projects from ableton with external plugins to Akai force? And for the opposite. How do Akai force plugins will appear on Ableton? Only with wave Stems?

  • @TigroGumi

Is there a "export all tracks" separately option in the export mode on the arranger mode?
If not can that be a update later on?

What about midi sequences from external synths?

  • @dianevrules

So this is why non-MPC users have issues with sequence/pattern mode??? Because they are used to editing all the tracks of a song in a linear way???

what is peoples opinion on the pads? i just got it... so called new from a certain online store but the box was opened already so that sucked...and i dont find the pads that nice. i hit a pad it register the hit but i need to hit and hold it a lot firmer to get a sustained note. doing paradiddles on drum pads.. sometimes its cuts off or chokes the sample.. even though the hits seem regular. just pads seem a bit funky to me. not like i expected. even on the most sensitive setting ..

Pretty wild that you don't even touch on the crossfader for performance here. The performance options now are amazing.

    Hi there great tutorials!
Question if I want to use amd record projects in the arrange window as my record main screen without using the matrix, can I do it?
I have a problem understanding the quantization topic. I did record drums in the arranger 6/8 feeling I use the TC 1/8, Triplets but when I record my breaks the tc dosnt want them to be in bit. Does this make sense??? Where can I learn about this like deeply? Thanks

Can anyone tell me or help me.
I keep making songs and recording into arranger. And my kicks and bass never record. It shows and I hear it when recording.
    Playback and no bass
I'm new to producing and just got the force about 6 months ago.

Question.....If I import my own loops inside the Force, does that count as a audio track, because I know the Force limited to have 8 audio tracks.
